Indefinite Poems

Indefinite Closure

Tears of a weeping willow on a tree lined street in Biloxi indulge my depression.
You have earned every emotion you own.
Clouds of wisdom pass on the knowledge of the universal truth.
Death never looked so inviting as it does to the hopeless.
Silence is a teacher waiting in vain for her star pupil.

Indefinite Suspension

A hateful slap hurts like disease
And fails not to increase unease:
One's indefinite suspension
Quite like Definite Expulsion:
A blow one takes open - mouthed,
Spiritually, one had shouted.

You be careful: The Suspended
Just for life which hasn't ended
Near not a stick of cigarette,
Problem's False Answer on lips let...

I'd rather you made a skyward glance,
With prayerful hands God

Brush strokes take this paint,
I see our musical chairs;
Style flows like water;
Smelling the smoke and the wine,
You are indefinite art.

No Conclusions***

Can’t figure things out?
Never between
    the lines.
Outside the lanes,
Staying spaced
In gray shadows
Or mist or fog…
Outlying and altering.
Possibly close,or
Beyond
Leaving,
 Below or high.
Yet, wearing
    pseudonyms,
Always being
Lost, then
Re-addressed.
Oscillating.
But, remaining
Persistently
    ambiguous.
Ticking, dangling.
Indefinitely
“Durra lurra loo,
Durra lurra lay,”
Tick-tocking clock
Infinitely
Short

The Indefinite Verb Love

The verb love
          burns and wets,
          whips and cuts...
          but above all loves...
          in silence or noise

That which is vast, immense and free
A never-ending infinity.
Indefinite, unlimited duration
An eternal, everlasting occasion.
Every moment that has ever been, is and ever will be,
Infinity.

Psychological Indefinite Detention

The perverse acceptance of dehumanization
coincides with the illusion of vulnerability
Degradation underlies the prolonged process
systematically re-wiring a once skeptical public

Manufacturing receptiveness to a diminished existence
is the prevailing goal
The need for coercion dissipates as resistance vanishes
Turning imprisonment into an implied circumstance

An Indefinite Pause

my world took a nosedive with your words
there is an indefinite pause now
all i hear is air and movement in the blackness
since the catastrophe of your complex sentences,
i constructed a cage made of icy tears
i created keys that can only be used once
i put myself in said cage and placed the keys in the furthest

Indefinite Love

I saw a young lady who was so perfect that she made my heart beat
I could not figure it out and now I really don't know I had to take a seat
She smiled like an angel in the heavens with glorious blinding teeth
She seems so kind and full of life and never put people beneath
I
