Gone somehow

I'm here

A world I did not choose

I don't even know the purpose

So when you come to know who you can trust, you may already be in harms way or to emotionally drained. With eyes looking up or cast down, depending on fate you did not know.

Like a scattered puzzle waiting for a perfect fit, not knowing that it might mot stick and or you stay stuck in a muck.
Maybe a bit to late for a change because the picture is already created.

It could be so simple if you knew you had wings that could take you there and there and be gone.

Gone is done and done is not good enough for this place. So you stay and linger till your hold is gone.

So sway away

 gone will takes its place.

Feeling
denied because there was no plot, so gone I certainly am.

Premium Member The world watches and waits

"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,"
Israel's war crimes, a brutal truth..
The statistics are glaring and growing more bleak.
One thousand Gaze an children killed every week..
Fathers in anguish, mothers drown in their tears,
their babies now gone before their first year..
Every fifteen minutes a child killed in their blast,
while one in four are starving now, some eating only grass.
For those that survive while in harms way, are losing
their limbs as the bombs splay.
12,000 innocents, undeserving of their fate,
while the rest of the world just watches and waits..

47% of Gaza's population are children.

Premium Member -So Much Sadness

There is so much sadness in our world today
It’s gone completely crazy
Wars, murder, injustice
Our air polluted and hazy

Humans, animals ,our environment all suffering
Our oceans marine life in harms way
We desperately need to make worldly changes
There is so much sadness in our world today…..

Premium Member The Brave, the Beautiful and Humanity

One little girl knows that she has a forever family waiting for her in America. She has many special needs. She is wanted and prayed for.
To protect her family, I won’t name her but lift up in your prayers. Others that were joined with them in the process: one man killed 2 days into the war, A Pastor’s family with two teens have opted to stay in harms way (the husband and father due to his age had to stay and fight). Our friends had previously traveled to the Ukraine several times to adopt their beloved little girls who are all praying for the Ukraine and their new sister-to-be.

THE BRAVE, THE BEAUTIFUL AND HUMANITY

Who pays attention to the orphan?
O for the beautiful - a wide net is cast.

Our friends have in their sights
one who many would cast aside
but God sees…oh yes God sees

in compassion and compunction,
and places a child in the arms of love
with other Ukrainian sisters, adopted
by a couple set aside for such work.

Who else gets the job done?
Green Berets braving war
to carry the orphans to Poland.
Send them hither and thither
to safe places, O God of all.

I’m but a writer, but let us see —
let us drive home - humanity.

A Senseless War

Senseless war
The suffering poor
Bombs explode
So much charity to unload

Refugees flee
Casualties they will see
Hiding in stations
In harms way
Such a cruel nation

The rockets light up the sky
In the distance a child will cry
Another nation must intervene
A shocking outcome will likely be seen

Widows grieving
Assistance receiving
A terrible fight
A long suffering night

Crying mothers
sisters mourning brothers
A senseless war
What's it all for?

Veterans still standing, and some with wheels, only seen in parades. Monuments abound, all around town. What can be down, to lessen their number? What are the leaders and those who approve the money, doing to stop needless wars and occupation, can’t they focus on something more important, then re-elections, and time in the closet with their honey? Veterans fallen, buried and forgotten, so many White markers at Arlington, were gong ho at the beginning, attitudes quickly turned to wonderment. Why am I spilling blood in a foreign land. Am I a policeman, or a soldier sent to take a stand. Doing what I was trained to do, not spilling blood in the sand. Are the policy makers, putting their sons and daughters in harms way? Thinking twice about committing their assets to the fray. Probably not but I could be wrong, probably stay that way. Until leaders of the world pay some price, with veterans lives they will roll the dice.

Adjustment

the steady hand of concerned people
gifted folk who have studied
how to treat and cure

they labor to remedy the
sickness
they quarantine, isolate and explore.
they in harms way are
puzzled
then break through
guides their path
comparison studies the researcher
to guide them down
the right path
might they prayers of every releigon
stop to thank God
for these women and men
they ajust and readjust
to help many
so we might stand to labor again

ODE TO OUR FLAG

The Flag of the Great Nation of America consists of seven stripes of crimson red which stand for all the blood that's been shed. Mingled with six stripes of brilliant white denoting the purity that lead each fight. Backed by a vivid field of blue with fifty stars belonging to the fifty states that compile this small piece of God's big earth, it should be flown in a solemn manner. Often referred to as the Star Spangled Banner and stately names such as Old Glory, it goes before the men and women who are in harms way on foreign soil defending what we, as Americans, believe so strongly in --- FREEDOM! This flag is the most noted flag the world has known. Wherever it flies, it fills our hearts with patriotic pride. No matter where it is unfurled, we should stand tall and proud to have such a beautiful relic show the world that we will forever fight to keep it flying as the symbol of freedom that it stands for. God Bless America!

At Any Cost

Symptomatic folly,
the tail now wags the dog

Whose bark, it whimper’s drolly,
all teeth removed and gone

Reacting, never acting,
new victims every day

All courage has retracted
—the future in harms way

Jailed speech unto the warden,
mere words may not contend

Our patriotic burden,
its truth we must defend

With cowards grabbing power,
a swamp that we must cross

Lies from ivory towers
—to fell at any cost

Premium Member She Puts Us Through Our Paces

She can hear a candy wrapper being opened a mile away.
She races home, and tears through her dog door,
Stares at us accusingly, gets on our laps, to smell our breaths.
We always save her a piece.

She has fallen into heaven, my girlfriend laughs.
Not really, as we are no angels, but we love her,
And would probably put our lives in harms way to save her
from the murderers and thieves she warns us about hourly.

We live in the country, and Sophie dog despises a truck on the road.
When one goes by, which is rarely, she bares her teeth, and
wails as if the murderers and thieves are about to steal her candy.
She guards us daily, whether we like it or not.

We have no doubt she would throw herself in front of truck
to save us, and we feel exactly the same way about her.

Now I can look in the eyes of veterans who served in country, without shame or guilt. Giving some blood to heal unseen wounds of mind and body, can they possibly be mended and rebuilt? These words, like my others, will be read looking in their eyes. So they can feel it’s not a scam, but really my stuff. Doing it in hopes it can touch them somewhere inside, want it to be enough. To overcome the wall now inside, distrust of this country and all us not like them, that put them in harms way, without batting an eye. Going to be tough, without them telling me bye bye.

Premium Member Pets

Animals are basic, they give unconditional love, and in return, only ask for Safeharbor and food, using meows rubs, and barks. Cats who are independent, teach us to honor their boundaries, maybe we will learn to do as much to humankind? Dogs, territorial and fierce,Whether small or large, willing to give their lives without thought. Only comparison I know,Is the veterans put in harms way, their unit now their family.

Reality Check

My president does not believe
that terror, is Islam based
Without the courage to say the words
he struggles to save face

Can't bring himself to say the words
what's in his heart won't die
The veil of ignorance (he assumes)
the world knows it's a lie

Pretending there is nothing wrong
we are put in peril each day
His ties to countries (not our friends)
just keep us in harms way

Golf and Dancing, TV shows
Baseball games and such
Take a front seat in his life
terrorism? not as much

The people that he entertains
have his back (his way)
White House quests are radical pests
they divide us every day

The welfare of America
gathers dust on a back shelf
While he works hard on his legacy
just to satisfy himself

He has no worries, he feels safe
and knows when he is gone
He will be over looked by those
with the coming of the dawn.....
