I’m leaving now

I'm sorry
 I'm mental
I'm sorry
 I'm gone
I'm sorry I'm stupid
I'm sorry I'm scared when the lights turn off
I'm scared to be alone due to the lack of attention and- lack of life
I'm sorry for all the dumb things I do especially when all I want is to mean something to you
I'm sorry I've been through years of sexual physical and emotional abuse
I'm sorry I'm ed
Ik I am
Im sorry I really am
I'm sorry I can't be the girl that you want
I'm sorry I'm mentally lost
I'm sorry I'm so alone that even though Someone's using me I Still want there validation
I wish I was there for you
 I wish I wasn't gone
I wish I was the lee that you need me to be
I wish I knew who Lee was at all
Just don't leave your all I have
I know I ed up
I ed up real bad
I'm sorry for all the rhyming
it's what I do when I get scared
especially when I might lose the only person who ever really cared

Acronyms and Mom

Mom says she doesn't text in letters, I answer IK
She says she isn't going to learn whatever is IDK

When she is waiting for me I tell her BRB
And she asks me what is a GIF or a JPG

I will try to show her how to use them ASAP
When I get the text back later that its NYOB

So I send back an uplifting LMAO
I plan to tell her why its IMO

She replies with understanding: IK now what IDK
Is that a PIC is a JPG and asks if maybe IDK

Skin To Skin

Can you feel me
watching you
from across
the room
from the shadows.

I see you
your absinthe eyes
smoky windows
your essence
in the dark
your form
body of my body

guarded
by a silent moon.

Come to me
bring me
your worlds
your divinities
your essence
that I may
protect them
bring me
your calamities
your tragedies
your heartaches
that I may
eviscerate them

cast them
into oblivion.

Embrace me
touch my body
feel how my
skin burns
for you
how my
heart pounds
for you
how I sweat
for you

cling to me
clutch me.

Let me taste you
taste your lips
upon mine
feel how they
quiver
for you
feel how our
breath
escapes us
a hurricane
of need
of want
of desire
in our kiss

the sweet nectar
of our longing.

As the
crescent moon
casts his
jealous gaze
upon your
rapturous face
I am undone
as we tremble
skin to skin
panting sighing
pulling you
tightly to me
I think to myself

“Ik ben thuis, (I am home)
Ik ben thuis!” (I am home!)

Fish Tale

Scales hardened over her skin
a condition called ichthyosis vulgaris

ik-thee-O-sis vul-Ga-ris

fish disease

(the ‘vulgar’ means ordinary
but at its worst
it is far from common).

She bled where the plaques chipped and cracked,
she leaked oils, but could not sweat enough.

She existed on her own sunbaked beach
gasping for breath.

She was a salmon fisher once
before she was encased in Piscean plates.

(The root of the word salmon
is ‘salvo’ meaning, to ‘leap’),
and indeed
for years she had tried to jump out of her skin.

One night
an easterly wind
brought a silver-eyed fisherman
to her breach.

In the swaying dark
he laid her down.
She suffered him to scrape
the arid scabs from her
with his skinning blade, hooked like a gaff.
He was exquisitely skilled,
gentle even.

Slowly he skived her sheath,
left her
glowing and wet,
beautiful and supple
on a heap of husks.
There beside the pitching surf
they made love.

Later,
he watched
as she swam away.

(The ichthys fish symbol
is older than history,
sea goddesses
claim it
as a symbol
of sexuality and rebirth).

The Lost Soul

As I stare out the window
A tear comes in place
Nobody knows my pain
It hurts inside noone asks why
It's the lost soul I can't describe
I ant skinny like others
But I'm beautiful like my mother
Noone asks what I hide
I cry everyday inside
I've been bullied all my life
But I'm strong on the inside
I got called names,
Pushed around
Called ugly but I can't frown
There's a lost soul in my heart
Waiting to find and heal that scar
I lost my father so young
It's hard to find the sun
I know he's here when noone is
I write down every tear
My mother is my hero I never fear
I'm blessed everyday she's here
I'm an average girl who has a heart
But inside my soul is torn apart
I'm the lost soul who's far apart
I know it's far as the snow glows
Noone should judge someone for the wrong
Every person in this world is beautiful no matter what ik it's hard to be sad
But smile it's not so bad
People may judge me I don't care
Everyone is beautiful anywhere

Better To Have Loved and Lost

Have you no tongue? So faint of heart?
Go tell her there's no other
so wonderful, and that apart,
so very like her mother!
Declare your hand, say it out loud
and never mind the lingo.
Why hide your ardor in a cloud?
She'll be yours, by jingo!

"Ich liebe dich!," "O, je t'adore!"
"ik hou van jou!," " b'hubuk!"
But when you're prostrate on the floor?
And when she shows you to the door?
Don't lose your nerve, or run amuck,
read Tennyson for better luck.

Premium MemberIk Zie Jou - I See You

I am not going to send this in for a contest, but I still wanted to post this. It's a poem I wrote in Dutch a few years ago. I lost most of my poetry in Dutch, only a few remain.

The fun is that the notes here are in the Poetry window, the poem itself is in the notes window. That's because you can use tables there, and not here :)
