Premium MemberThe Return of Beauty

I knew you would come back
because you were always there.
My mind begins to wonder;
seeing you made me stare.

The beauty you have is
a display edition; it needs no light.
It illuminates the room
with perfection in the darkest of night.

It strikes the chord for deep love,
sending out perfect harmony.
The beauty you have shown me
made me accept my insecurities.

When I reach back at the memory
of when our love was great,
it makes me thankful for the moment
when I held your warm embrace.

Premium MemberFood for Indigestion

   Was it the food
     or my indigestion

   When I’m fully recovered
I’ll ask my wife a burning question

Premium MemberA Proposal Poem

O lassie, I were loving you far longer than I knew,
And I would have you know of it, before the eve were through.
Through fair and feisty weather,
We shall face it all together,
And our hearts shall be our tether,
If you will but say "I do".

Premium MemberAugust 24th

One of my greatest days
I've experienced in my life
Would easily be August 24th
The day you became my wife

You walked down the aisle
As a music begin to play
I stood waiting at the altar
For so long I dreamed this day

I was so full of happiness and joy
And I was standing there with you
All my dreams prayers and wishes
At that moment were coming true

Together we stood in front of that church
For God and are friends and family to see
Joining are two lives together as one
In a simple and beautiful ceremony

Looking at you with your hand in mine
We vowed to love each other forever
And to always be at by each others side
Believing that our love nothing could sever you

Premium MemberBundle of Joy

A baby will be born; I don't know when.
I'll take care of them the best that I can.
I'll give them love and affection beyond tomorrow,
So I won't have to say, "Baby, I'm sorry."
I'll take care of them and give them everything
That the virtues of the world cannot bring.
Make every moment special so life brings them joy.
I will love every moment spent with them, whether it's a girl or a boy.
I’ll be able to raise them to not have any doubts
And teach them the truth of what life is all about.
So when they are married and living on their own,
It lets me know that we did everything right with the blessing from "The Father and The Son."

Premium MemberDon Juan's Wife Gets Her Wish

                Don Juan believed in reincarnation
                Thought he’d return as 'collaboration'

Sure enough, when he came back
A sight stopped him in his tracks

His wife smiled, said: “I chose procreation”

Premium MemberI Think You Know What I Mean

              There is no justice
                 Of course there isn’t
Why would anyone think there is

               No person is truly color-blind
                  How could anyone be
Even Stevie Wonder isn’t – and he’s blind

There is no such thing as the perfect spouse
                   The very notion is ludicrous
Only a fool would think there is (or pretend to be one)

Is there anyone alive who’s never gotten angry
Is there anyone who’s never made a mistake

Is there anyone who is totally selfless
If there is, then he’s a big pain-in-the-ache

Premium MemberLipstick on Fred's Collar

Fred’s wife found lipstick on his collar
Boy, did she ever scream and holler
                 Fred said, Sorry dear
                 I won’t live in fear
Guess who, and I’ll give you a dollar

Premium MemberFEELING OF TIREDNESS

I can't stop this feeling—where did it go?
Can I be sick of the stuff going on?
An angry attitude keeps feeding my mind.
Words can be annoying to the soul.
This is an everyday indecent conversation.
My heart is beginning to just fade.
Should I just let it go,
Or should my feet walk the street?
The answer is minimal, but I need the max.
Let me just leave with happiness to be on my own.

Premium MemberA MATTER OF THE HEART--

Hey, hey, hey
I am the Daughter, of Our Father
Everything He's got for me is promised
A matter of the heart
For my heart matters to God

You giving me life and love
A king after your own heart
I thank you Father
For mine covenant one
My own beloved husband

I am the wife, of the man whose found a good thing
(I am his good thing Hallelujah)
Everything He's got for me is promised so I sing
My Father matters to me as I matter
A matter of the heart
For my heart matters to God

I am a matter of the heart
I am a matter of the heart
To my Father God and His son
Hallelujah

Premium MemberNancys Wonderful Husband Mike

Nancy was thrilled with her boyfriend, Mike
She followed him as he moved from town to town
There were things about him her relatives did not like
Mike was in the habit of putting Nancy's ideas down

He said if she got pregnant, he would leave her
She was his wife for twenty-three years, maybe
Her dream of being a morn squelched by this insolent cur
He left her to marry his girlfriend who was having his baby.

Nancy’s depression was expected by some.
She wasted her life doing things for this buffoon.
Many of us recognized Mike was a selfish bum.
For us, he could not leave too soon.

Premium MemberThese Ladies Address Him as 'Mister Ed'

Ed tried to write a poem
for the first time in his life
              However, in so doing
                 he scared away his wife

              She read it once
                 and thought him mad
               And though her reaction
                 made Ed sad

He posted it on a website
                 where many fillies view it
Who think that Ed has good horse-sense
~ He’s no longer cause to rue it

Premium MemberMarriage vs Freedom, Husband vs Wife

Nobody told me ‘the world was my oyster’
I never knew they were the best years of my life
Years of freedom, driving around, without a wife

There I was, feeling pressured and pressed
To want what others had, nice house, social standing
Goals that only compounded the stress

Why couldn’t I play ball anymore, eat junk food
What made me want to grow up
                When I wasn’t sure I could…

And now here I am in old age
Vainly trying to recapture a life
Where I hop in the car and go
~ free from the grip of a controlling wife
