We were born in a time where we cannot
Ever afford to break the rules
Taught unto us by different schools...
Different trains of thought...

Being the starving artist I am, as the fruit will rot,
I continue to observe and paint what I see:
The fruits of the old love you had for me,
The basket of grapes we had once bought.

Rhyme and reason no longer in how I love
The one whom I daydream about.
The one whom I want to shout
In tears of joy for the one I have always dreamt of.

Grapes become raisins as I steep every vine,
Stepdancing upon them with moves of my own,
I fill the barrel with a lovely liquid, reddest in tone.
A painting and wine for my love so divine.

Hedonism

In this Equinoctial Splendor,
Around us cebelean surrender.
Nature’s love doth abound,
Leaping out of the ground.
So why’s my son still glued to Tinder?

Glad,hedonistic lad;
Delighting in delectations,
Amusing affectations,
Posturing pretension
with ogling ostentation!

Professing pleasure seeking
Confessing,leisure leaning.
Reputation so revealing,
Passe peer appealing!

Performing,extroverting,
Showcasing,demonstrating,
Superficial and artificial;
Pleasure without measure.

Sad,sad,so sad !

Charlatan

Hedonism echoed
every pore of charlatan
bleeding illusion
mirage of grooves of magic
rode hollow soul to the black hole.

Hedonism

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah biblical sense
The inability of repentance

Turned to a statue of stone
The truth as it was shown

America may suffer the same fate
Evangelicals at the pearly gate

Lust, greed and debauchery
A government in the troughs of tyranny

Vulgar and uncouth pronouncement of discourse
A divided nation without remorse

Plotting tax break for the most wealthy
Eliminating healthcare for the poor and unhealthy

America calls itself a Christian nation
Christ called for the lest of you participation

Hedonism in the land of the free
God have mercy

Hedonism

bare hedonism

anesthetizes the mind,

then the soul goes blind!
