Do the eyes see, or does the mind perceive
What shadows creep warily upon the eve
What forgotten past horde our gainful years
What winged doom bearers rouse our darkest fears
While doubts fester in the fields of the failed legionnaire
And fallen angels flock about thy desperate prayer
Know, aback the world dreaming dragon, I'll be there
Arisen from the dust and decay of The One's, promise broken
I am all that, of which mean, "power", awoken
The wailing grief of shadows fallen where darkness dare
Cleaved in twain by the righteous sword's gleaming glare
Nigh falls the last darkling felled to the abysmal deep
Goeth now from fretful slumbers to restful sleep
For, nor even death himself may reap
thy mortal soul
Whilst I stand guardian; the sacred fold
When the setting sun settles
Upon the weeping western skies
That's when I earn my medals
Hearth fires from smoldering eyes
Crystalline orbs glow like rare art
Gemstones shine light on my eyes
Mining ore from cast-iron heart
Molten metal melts the skies
Smelting, my weeping western eyes
Gemstones spark life in my heart
Heavy metal forged from her skies
Casts raw iron into art
Villanelle of a Metal Queen (c) 2025 by Russ Dodson
I just don't know where else to start
to tell you of this love of mine
she is the beating of my heart
these feelings that I must decline
I just don't know where else to start
the memories both sweet and tart
hold feelings that I would enshrine
she is the beating of my heart
I wonder can I play that part
to make these treasures glow and shine
I just don't know where else to start
so soon again she must depart
to let her skills and soul entwine
She is the beating of my heart
She is a rockstar, and a large part
of the sound she helped refine
I just don't know where else to start
She is the beating of my heart
Old School Cool (c) 2025 by the Entangled Pair
She's hot, yes, but she's also cool
she is a gem, she is a jewel
I think she's great (and I'm no fool)
she beats those drums like she's old school
she pounds those skins, sometimes it's funny
she hits them like they owe her money
and one thing more I'll tell you honey
she's on that kit whether cloudy or sunny
She's been that way right from the start
plays from the the soul, plays from the heart
she always does more than her part
it's not just passion, it's her art
looking back I am that fool
dug in like a Missouri mule
and if this doesn't break some rule
she's not just cool - she's old school cool
word
Politics has swallowed his laughter and smile.
He's become deaf to any other point of view.
Head-banging like a heavy-metal crocodile.
While stroking a harp from his pristine pew.
His bitterness is like a pissed-off tarantula.
Fangs raised high above star-spangled heads.
Of those with a different colored mantra.
He labels all of them "the living dead".
In another time and circumstance,
we could have become best friends.
But his demon has always been politics.
That head demon never-never rests.

The heavy metal guy looked perfect
With his long black girl like hair
With his round black John Lennon shades
With his black SpecFor combat trousers
With his black Doc Martin boots
With his phone’s black metal music
With his black heavy metal band t-shirt
With his long black sleeve shirt
With his ring with a black stone
With his black snake medallion
Heavy metal guy all in black
Very similar to myself in all ways

Ghost brother moaning away.
Head bobbing psychopath.
Come closer you! Come closer!
Shak’n those shoulders.
Like some weird demon.
Head bobb’n. Nodd’n psychopath you.
Ghost brother, we’re coming.
Stand back, I warn.
We’re closing in. We’ll laugh and watch.
We’re bringing the fire.
Devil is along for the ride.
Shak’n those shoulders.
Stomp. Stomp Stomp.
Head bobb’n Nodd’n psychopath you!
Be afraid you eerie prancing, dancing fool.
Death march is here.
Grim reaper is laughing.
Time is almost over.
Danger ghost brother.
Bobbin’ that head.
Psychopath central.
This is the only warning.
Mama can’t help you.
Nod it off.
No more head bobb’n.
No more prancing for you!
Heavy Metal Sunshine.
My Heavy Metal Sun shines alight,
Up above me in the morning light.
Tequila sunrise, burns my eyes;
Another wonderful day to wake up in paradise.
My beautiful bride, captures my heart,
As she shimmers in the Heavy Metal Sun’s rays.
Her beautiful mind, shines as bright as the son;
In the darkness, the sun lights up her face.
Her dress of the night, so soft to the touch,
Gently blows with the breeze of the morning’s air.
She opens the curtains and welcomes the sun,
Then turns to me and smiles, as the light seeks everywhere!
The dark angel of the night, has clearly arisen,
An angel of the light, now released from her prison.
The sad woman has gone, to be replaced with a smile;
She floats out of the glass door, to go and swim for a while.
So I bring down some drinks,
To watch the water discover my love.
Then I lay in the sunshine
And thank you all for my Heavy Metal Sun.

heavy metal lives
The stage will be filled with a lot of heavy metal music bands and a lot of fireworks. If
I were a heavy metal maestro, I'd go on a world tour, that includes Canada. I'd also make
a life-changing performance in the United Kingdom. For the props for a heavy metal opera,
I'll have actors and actresses portray as dark angels, demons, and blood-sucking vampires.
As for the bands, they'll be playing a lot of heavy metal music for 7 hours non-stop. I
will have been the first-ever heavy metal maestro and I'll make a life-changing
performance for a worldwide audience. If the crowd loves the entire show, then I'll
consider giving them an encore or two. We, as music fans, love heavy metal music because
we all can feel the adrenaline rushing through our veins. And when I retire, after all of
my would-be operas are successful, I'll always be a heavy metal maestro in my own right.
Listening to heavy metal music is so awesome, it's like I'm in a mosh pit. It's also as if
I'm at an underground concert in New york City, on Saturday nights. When I'm listening to
a lot of metal music, it's like being in a giant pit of inferno. I can feel the adrenaline
through my brainwaves. And when I listen to the music, I also feel the rush throughout my
veins. If there's a heavy metal concert was in town, this is going to be like an
underground concert for all of the underdogs where the mayhem is really happening. The
guitars, the amps, drums, and the bands; they're all very entertaining. I put in a heavy
metal music CD in a CD player, I press "play," and when the music plays, it will be like a
headbangers festival in North Hollywood, California. And with a lot of heavy metal albums
that I were to own, this will be like a real house party.
