Premium Member Heartaches Fade Away

Yesterday's heartaches fade away,
although memories tend to stay.
And though time cannot guarantee
to unlock feelings, it's the key.

Clinging to unreconciled fears,
you blame fate for your years of tears.
And erect emotional walls;
discouraging love when it calls.

Your heart choreographs each move;
as if love has something to prove.
And when doubt devastates your mood,
you get defensive and unglued.

Lovers give, as well as receive,
Hope's goal is to share, not deceive.
And you'll find your soulmate someday:
for love's out there heading your way.

  One's heart, One's soul was entrusted, dispensed on a platter with
  good intentions.

  Some say love should hurt because love is pain, Love shouldn't hurt
   it's an expression of actions and not words.

   For what purposes? Ego, Deceit, Double Dealings, Manipulations.

   Is Love on a two-way street? Triangles, guards, denials, and heartaches
   all are Complicated.

   Healing amidst all the heartaches ingresses comebacks, self defense and
   divine protection of healing one's inner being.

Some broken hearts will never mend
for souls are swept by varied storms-
loss of sweet love and lives that end-
heartache comes in different forms.

Along my way today I found
some broken hearts will never mend;
everywhere fractured lives abound
with grief we cannot comprehend.

They struggle to the bitter end
wearing their happy disguises;
some broken hearts will never mend
and they come in many sizes.

It could be you, it could be me,
the soul whose heartache does not end
so let kindness your watchword be;
some broken hearts will never mend.

December Heartaches

Everlasting…you and I were both from two different worlds
Meeting you was my biggest regret yet
Involving you in my life was another
True to your words you left without a single word

Evening came and so did storm and rain
Hard to let go – I called your name out three times
Terrific! I just lost the love of my life

Looking through past memories, I saw you sitting there
Lamenting sorrowful scenes
A call from you was all I need

Rumor has it that you went to abroad. Far away. In search for space.
Every day was torment
Beautiful memories sprung from here to there
Managing well was far from reality
Enough to blow a whole house down
Creating walls around me
Even family members couldn’t get in
Doom awaited me and so, I came late

Out to college, I’ve always had my fantasies about men
True enough that I was lying, I gave up space.

Knowledge of you coming back had me back up my feet.
Caring for you was all I realized
About to give in
But then reality settled in

Trust No One

I am a poet, not a hero with great noble’s qualities,
The rivers and sea communication
is all about love and happiness the sea refuses no river
Yet they taught us how to hide our feelings.

You taught me well Mother Nature.

As innocent folks how much more can we take
From the outside world,
From the politicians, and our leaders

What are we really fighting for?
I always flick back to the Pied Piper Poem
What does it really mean personal charm?
Entices people to follow his/hers ways usually
End up disappointments or misfortunes

And if you owed the devil, you will lived to regrets
I will go out on a limb and asked
Did the world owed China?
 Were innocent folks like myself at the bargaining table?
The river and sea communication
Is all about love and happiness the sea refuses no river:

Couplets, Of Rhymes And Repeated Heartaches

Deep, lonely and darkened,
Life so goes with withering hands of Time,

Gasping, harsh, slow drying winds,
Blowing to create a most morose clime,

Shivering, aching, and cold,
Oft as lost as a river tumbled stone,

Caring, sharing oft despairing,
Listing dark deeds to now have to atone,

Recall, repeat and rephrasing,
Verses that somehow this poet's heart mends,

Inspiring, expiring, firing,
Ink words that predicts what future portends,

Waiting, skating, and baiting,
Fate to admit we're enemies not friends,

Sifting, shifting and crying,
That if love fails, life another one sends.

R.J. Lindley, June 3rd, 1983
Couplets, ( of rhymes and repeated heartaches )
( As Fate, chooses its victims with deep, and sadistic glee )

Note:
Woe unto man and all of his sweet dreams
Fate, deciding differently, laughs and scoffs
tho' one may wade awhile, cool flowing streams
such Life may with a Fated curse cut off.

Still, Nothing but Heartaches

     Still, Nothing but Heartaches, Still, Nothing but Heartaches, Will these

     heartaches ever leave me? All my life, I live my life true; Giving you the

     best in life the best way I know how; Still, I receive nothing but

     heartaches, nothing but heartaches; Will you ever make me happy by

     relieving these heartaches that my heart can not bear alone?

     Will you continue to be cruel, and harsh! I wonder, will I still have

     Nothing but Heartaches?

Cold Night

the hussle of leaves and wispers of my tears
the chirp of birds are prayers to stop the fears
as the moon peep to see my teary eye
it will smile to let me stop to cry

But how could the cold
can pamper my feelings?
when i feel the savage hurt
that keeps my soul burning!

I am dying in pain
I am buried with grief
I am pearced with heartaches
I am thrown to abyss

so cold like in limbo
all i see is suffering.
I know I cannot elevate
in pain
and its telling that I am not gonna be happy, never again.

A Misunderstood Series of Ten Heartaches

seems like ten
i had nine million thoughts of you
8,999,999,000 of them were daggers to my heart
the one thought that i held on to was recycled and turned into a message from God
it took me 3,650 days to realize that quality time with you was a sneeze in a thrift store full of ripoffs
now for seven days a week, i move on like a turtle intentionally constipated
i always carry that small wonder like a 15 year old butterscotch disc
at least butterscotch is still a friend of mine....
did you ever read that poem and hip yourself to the internal message
now my heart is on a temperamental conveyor belt
the surgical tools used to fix it have all decided to become animate and retire
the tears from my heart make black roses grow and inspire an odd senility to the whole of me
yes, it feels like another ten....and i thank you from the bottom....
....that i will never get over....

Let It Rise

I remember the times we had was like the best laughs
  I remember the mistakes we wore it made us last
   I remember the hard times could put us past
     you could only be you in a presence of mass
  less complications when we had each others back
         last but not least we walked in a pack.

                 -Quateria Greene

Chivary Is Dead

Man is Fearful and unapologetic
Oh yes chivalry is dead
Fair ladies and noble chivalry
Is a thing of the past?
As men board buses and trains
And small passageway
they boorishly, yelled to the ladies
Even on the freeway
To move out of the way
They had a long hard day.
the fair ladies are not timid
Or Wall flowers anymore,
They retaliate and never exhibit ladylike qualities
Therefore, men referred to them as bores , whores.
es and witches

Women!
Let us never bow and apologize
To please the non-gentlemen let them please us.
Chivalry is dead,

Let them stand on the tiptoes to foresee their future
Knowingly, it’s all there in front of them
Because most men are broken giant in all they mishaps:
Weakness by nature in all they arrogates ways.
Whom Do They Think They Are ?

My Dream

O my goodness, my dream! I dreamed that you were here
Your photograph hung above the mantel
You in your favorite suit: black and white
Your boyish haircut: like little boy blue tights:

In the background stood your old guitar, montel
Yorkie, your best friend watched with curious eyes:
I long to be with you: I long to hold you
I long for us to be whole again:

Ocean can only separate us, for a short time
I am not yours and you are not mind,
My worn out heart this old thing, have been
control, misunderstood and influence:

It remember, those who love it, and those
Who pretended to understand it:

Even If the Heartaches Stay

N-ever will we lose hope
E-ven if the heartaches stay;
P-repared to accept things
T-ill the very end of day.
H-eartaches and sorrow
A-re both becoming trends;
L-et our minds think otherwise
I-n spite of pain that never
E-nds.

D-espite the hurt inside,
A-llow ourselves to feel better;
P-ut on the solid faith
I-n day first November.
T-rials and tribulations
A-re part of human life;
N-ever can they be avoided by anyone who hates strife.

P-roper place and right time
A-re the loss of blue and gray;
N-ever will we surrender
E-ven if the heartaches
S-tay.

Autumnal Heartaches

Summer fade and passes away
Just like our love wasn't meant to stay
The sound of rustling leaves
So cool to hear
Like music of the season
Whispering your name.

Soft frosty wind blew gently
To the sunbathed fields
Carpeted with the collision of red and gold.
Walking past the withered hedges
Reminiscing our Autumn history
Tears falling, fogging the view
Of misty valleys filled with smoke-blue.

'Tis the season of goodbyes
The year's last smile
Just like you and me
Of once upon an Autumnal sunrise.

Heartaches Will Never Last

Heartaches will never last nor will they ever stay;
sorrow shall go so fast in the passing of day.
Once in a little while, one’s heart may break and bleed;
abandoned by the smile, his teardrops want to plead.

The colors of life’s way are not just pink and bright
but also dark and gray for the day and the night.
The pain and hopelessness are just in someone's mind;
causing some mental stress, better leave them behind.

Nobody else can cure your wound but you alone;
self-confidence for sure takes you from your cry zone.
The sweet smile of your own makes the whole world laugh too;
yes, the sadder you moan, the more it's only you.

Getting out of deep well of severe depression
is easier to tell than to show in action.
If forgiveness will rise and will forget the past,
then you shall realize, heartaches will never last.
