In a world of noise where the distractions reign,  
Amidst the proliferation of mobile phones,  
You find your haven, a refuge from the din,  
In the depths of quiet, where your spirit roams.  

While parties surge like waves upon the shore,  
And social media dances, a fickle flame,

My private haven

i found the perfect little table
in the perfect cozy corner
in the perfect quirky bistro
in the perfect part of town

as i head out on my merry way
they may as well cordon off the area
'cause when i get there ~ god help
anyone who may be sitting in that spot

Haven

Sitting in my favorite place,
A smile upon my face,
I embrace being,
Seeing me in everything,
My eyes are projecting,
Perfecting a design,
I create with my mind,
In the silence I find,
My connection is Divine,
It's time to rise and shine,
This projection is mine,
Its parameters I define,
Within a set of guidelines,
Equations using time,
Situations in conservation,
Energy in constant transformation,

Water is pouring heavily.
Yet it feels warm and free.
The raindrops fall gently on my skin, washing away all worries and empathy.
As I embrace you under the stormy sky pleasantly.

Shivering at the coldness of the rain,

Lured by East Rock

Alex Honnold free soloed up Half Dome
I watched the video from the comfort of my home
I marveled at Catherine Destivelle, when Verdon's edge she trod,
But in New Haven, East Rock lures the unskilled clod.

That rock was made before the continents split
Dinosaurs once munched the plants that grew on top of it

my sanctuary
my mood saver
my joy

my love for it cannot be conveyed in words
the right ones have not been invented
I adore creating something out of my imagination
there is such joy in playing!

I like making swirls, curves, hearts and stars
drawing pixies, gnomes, pirates, witches and more
I pooh pooh rulers and straight lines
I measure nothing

my bed is cozy
no one tells me what to do
what to think or what to say

I cuddle down into my blankets
surrounded by warm fuzzy pillows
feeling calm

I am safe here
it is my haven
no interruptions or disturbances

no one talking religion or politics
the silence welcomes me
envelops me

makes me feel sane

When deluge hap
Come freely to
My little hut.

A lovers dream

I seek a spot,
in paradise.
Where love is hot,
just like a spice.
A place of dream,
where hearts are won,
without a scheme,
when words are done.

Where burning hearts,
become a whole,
not just a piece,
of burning coal.
A lovers nest,
beside the sea,
a place designed,
for you and me.

Where night is day,
and day is night.
A vivid play,
That brings delight.
So when I find,
my precious prize,

A Place To Go

Hammer and nails
And pine and paint,
Made by hands ...
Earns no complaint 

A roof and walls
Not much more,
A hole in the wall
Is my front door 

Put there for me

Just to get out of
The rain and snow

red lines

Sunrise was just a red line in the inky void, as Lisa and I reached the harbor decking stairs,
but at once, the brazen slash began widening, like a silent, slow motion explosion,  
thin, smoky wisps of cloud, like flammable tissue, prismed the stage light ignition.

The Haven of Love

In moments of limerence my heart does long, for the haven of love where potions are strong. A land of passion and rosy dreams, purple roses and milky streams. 

Where lovers are welcomed with open arms, and the trees of passion glitter with charm. In their blueish shades the virgins sing, and the fairy maidens
