WONDER IF HEAVEN'S GOT A GHETTO
Wonder if Heaven's got a ghetto,
Where sinners & saints mellow,
And unite with shinning hallow.
The street glows golden yellow
As we pray more grease to our elbow.
Wonder if Heaven's got a ghetto,
Where a villian turns a hero
And becomes a new fellow.
Wonder if Heaven's got a ghetto
Where sinners & saints mellow.¹°
Death's short notice served it's memo.
The slained welcomes a fellow,
And the stained does same; ditto.
To the golden gate, they trove into.
Seated in a haven above below,
Their faces shines bright like an Albino,
Setting the sanctuary aglow,
Peering through Heaven's window.
Wonder if Heaven's got a ghetto.
The old world detain'd incommunicado,²°
Having being in limbo,
They reminisce their deathblow,
The taste of their cappuccino,
Serenized inside their luxurious limo.
But their life's dips in each Kilo,
Their highs began to feel low
And inexplicably downthrow.
Wonder if Heaven's got a ghetto;
Walking past the road that's narrow,
Swerving past the daunting arrow,³°
Shaded-off the shrouded shadow,
In order to escape the deep shallow.
Wonder if Heaven's got a ghetto??

Sparse eerie green clouds camouflage
A harvest-time full moon
Creating quiet illusion
Crescent moon open strewn
Dragger shaped twinkling diamond stars
Slide across silver back
Lending a quiet essence there
'Pon silhouetted pitch black
Alluring moon drew sleepy eyes
Come circle sunset lake
Grip a lovers strong hand caress
Kiss love, there's no mistake
Moon reflected 'pon sunset lake
Created atmosphere
An euphoric lover's haven
Thinking very unclear
The moon in its silvery essence
Spoke of amorous mood
Bequiling scene set, engaged thoughts
Forgot you're shrewd and crude
It's the harvest moon's total fault
Engrossing was its hold
No matter how handsome was he
My lips shouldn't have been bold
Winter Cabin Reality
by Odin Roark
The storm door
Improperly closed
Bangs violently
The clapboard shedding
White paint chips
Wounds without first aid
Flecks of age
Mixing with the drifting snow
Walls shudder with the gusts
Windowpanes rattle their death threat
Should one shatter
Beware flood gates of frozen forever
When will guardians arrive
The stewards of their weary retreat
Providing solace for this place
We so willing endure
Harsh punishment
This loneliness of disuse
The fear of abandonment
Looming
Looming
Always looming
Such anxiety for...
In order...
In order to...
Appease elements restless
Unhappy
Feeling forsaken
The stove sad
Laboring for no one
The refrigerator longing
Waiting like a giant petri dish
Anxious to be opened and examined
Bed covers squirm amidst
Nature's innate seekers of shelter
Six-leggers pass four-leggers in the night
Perplexed
Wondering
Where is everyone?
Field mice
The basements fortress of faith
Anticipate the happy slogging
Of drunken feet above
The excess food celebrated not
Falling through spaces of beamed flooring
Affording reserves for future seasons of need
Thus awaits the wilderness shelter
Determined to remain creative
As temperatures drop even lower
On this little respected life-saver
Multiple-soul make-over haven
Urban's satellite arbiter for sanity
Earnestly it awaits yesterday's loyally
Its generational-visitor relay
Its reason to hold on
Its inducement
To stay whole
Just one more year
Crunching snow outside raises hope
Two mice
Three spiders
One gentle squirrel share
"Got to be more than a bear"
It exists, without a doubt, a slew of violence in our society.
The cops, who are supposed to enforce the laws,
Are committing countless abuses and atrocities. What a pity!
It is apparent that we are embedded in deep flaws,
However, the violence must stop. We are tired
Of the unnecessary bloodsheds. Enough is enough.
We are all parts of the problems. It is tough
To accept the truth. We have a slew of violence in our head,
In our thoughts, in our dreams, and in our way of living.
It is hard to admit that we are living in a violent society.
We play and fight violently. We are always preparing
For wars, to fight the enemies, the devils of the sea,
The strangers in our mind, and the aliens of nowhere.
At times, we are our own enemies. We have created
The elements of fear in our psychic haven, and unconsciousness.
We have seen too much violence. We are tired and exhausted
Of this terrible environment of selfishness, lawlessness,
Intolerance, discrimination, hate, cruelty and terror.
This world is infested of sadness; we are conquered by fear,
And uneasiness. We all can sense or feel the horror,
Which is ruining our future. We are breathing the contaminated air
Of violence and oppression. We need to stop right here, right there,
Right now, at this very moment. We need to stop the flow of sorrow,
We need to dream, and be inspired of a more amicable tomorrow.
Brothers and sisters must stop fighting each other, husband and wife
Must stop destroying each other. We all yearn for and need a better life:
Follow the rules of a better living, the rules with more conciliatory terms
Of better communicating and understanding each other and our environment.
Let's practice the art of loving, and stop spreading the noxious germs
Of hate. For once, let's do our best to stop this violent disenchantment.

A. Hatta asked
Q.”...why is the Raven like a writing desk?...”
because
it’s a.haven
Artemis
and not a fowl quill
he said... ah!
x
...
more regulus
then romulus
and brighter
then remus
i’d say
but not quite
so famous
the heart of a lion
called a raven
shameless
ah!
but distinctly
i remember
once upon a knight
in a dreamy september
flying embers knotting
quaint surrenders tapping
i nodded into nearly
and almost gently napping
when satin robes rustled
and i awoke wondering
“tis some visitor”
i uttered almost laughing
with and not at
his gentle naughty tapping
pleased
and shyly grinning
in the decor of my room
he was quite inviting
“couldnt find the door
so i came through the floor”
“ive come to remember
and perhaps to forget
that ive read the forgotten
on the ecliptics lip”
then a howling wolf
made a growling sound
but the raven stayed quiet
in the eyes of time
and 32 flights
became 33 rhymes
so do tell a soul
if with sorrows laden
that there is a palm
and a caring maiden
serving fresh
her cups of malt
with talons cut
upon a falcons deck
and even if
raven speaks knot
many have lived
tHere without
a trace

My love for you is like a star that shines in the sky,
It guides my idle steps and lights my path.
You are the glow that brightens my life, the warmth that stirs my heart.
I love you for your beauty, your kindness, your strength and your tenderness.
You are my refuge, my haven of peace.
I love you more than words could ever say.
You are the melody that soothes my troubled soul,
The symphony that makes me tremble, even amid the ravenous chains of desolation.
Your smiles are rays of sunlight that brighten my somber days,
Your tears are drops of rain that nourish my wounded soul.
I love you for all that you are, for all that you make me feel.
You are my love, my friend, my confidante, my other self, my soulmate.
I love you now and forever.
In your eyes, I find peace, clarity, safety, and love.
You are my refuge, my sanctuary, my drug, my elixir.
I love you for your gift to understand me, to support me, and to make me laugh.
You are the light that leads my will, the compass that steadies my restless heart.
I love you for eternity, for all the fleeting moments we share
And for those yet to come,
Should providence grant us the grace of its mercy.
You are my love, my everything.

S pring in her steps she wanders in wonder
R ecoils in amazement retraces the year
I gnites the haven the Persians call ‘bunder’
N o regrets but resilience beyond graffiti of fear
G ive me hope she exclaims I will not go under
I n the semi desert one forgotten Iris blooms
S urpassing the ruins and shackles of tombs
C risp early morning she takes shelter in beauty
O h Allah protect me while my husband is gone
M y children are hungry for them it’s my duty
I nstil all the love past seasons have foregone

30th March 2017
This site is da bomb my haven so to speak
It's where I go to mellow out
Away from the ugly news of the day
That we constantly hear about
Without this site my life would be boring
I'd walk around mumbling away
Oblivious to the big old world passing by
Whatta great way to start the day
So many great people call P-Soup their home
Scattered throughout this big planet
Personalities as varied as the fish in the ocean
So many they run the damn gamut
From witty, to clever intellectual or romantic
We all call it home sweet home
A retreat a getaway from all of life's hassles
A place to let our true hearts roam
So let's hear some of that thunderous applause
Because here's the inside scoop
All of us would probably fade into oblivion
Instead we're just happy as poop
“You try to be faithful
And sometimes you're cruel.
You are mine. Then, you leave.
Without you, I can't cope."
Rumi
in the kingdom of love,
nothing is simple,
not even musings,
so tell me:
in your annoyance
do you still think of me
or am i just another
common cliché
in Rumi's philosophies
for cosmic connections,
must we be a
contradiction of circumstance
when our story has been sung
beyond the reach of stars,
so despite the dystopian demons,
i keep hope in the invisible
golden harp strings,
yet to compose our swansong
oh mistress of medusa
in splitting seasons,
when serpents spit venom,
your British horizon soul,
coupled with your
climate change heart,
procreate porcelain patience,
where rhythms of rage
lead to breathless silence,
but i never forget you
it can be tiresome
battling against
ebony lashes from
metaphorical daggers
when vertigo eyes
hunt for their prey
and i wonder if i
was at shooting distance
would you pull the
trigger to rip my
heart like shredding
secretive documents
but despite bonfire breaths,
my samurai spirit has
become immune to
momentary flames,
adopting a mermaid mind,
finding sanctuary in
deep waters until
the last ember dies,
as at the end of each storm,
when rainbows reappear,
i resurface upon your
ivory shores,
for what am i,
but a sea urchin and
you the empress of the sea,
so each time you are cruel,
i wait for the return of
tender gestures,
as i know it is your
veil of vulnerability
you hide from the world,
but in the intricacies of conflict,
i am still the moonlight
glowing upon your ripples,
as i know the code to
your handcrafted heart,
floating in wandering waves,
as you still ignite intimate spiritual
sparks of soothing sensuality,
so never abandon me - forever
in the imperfections of love,
in my abundance of flaws
i know you adore me
internally and externally,
for we are refuge and
safe haven for the broken,
like a masterpiece of
alliterative adjectives
glowing like gems
in topaz textures upon
mookaite mosaics
I know I'm no
Leonardo Di Caprio,
I've never been as
romantic as Romeo,
so love me for
what I am today,
I am not your past
of wasted sunsets,
so ascend with me like
tomorrow's sunrise
