Harking Poems

For instance

After may be the advent of democracy war could grunt
or groan, raising it's smokes or names for instance.
Once more again it may not be the only thing so harking
   to show,
when like already new diseases are found everyday
everywhere here wew gingering further to a gloom
  grotesque.
Nigeria is under intranet humor emergency:
Maybe a cool war to see the world now through itself,
maybe a cool war to welcome the something whole
  heatedly,
maybe a cool war to enjoy a thing of clit and clat.
Why like democracy is also the government of these
machines, they are cool but on me- thought noses,
water is nature and fish and mermaid and stone
    and a lot more?.

What are these Roman Africaaaaaaaaan?

May be guns are self-explanatory
    for already something is something
or cute cutlass and one local farmer
    hoe or digger?
 or somehow a carpenter hammer
    or nail?.
The reason may be still self-
  explanatory- can we only
    rely on contemporary or sometimes
   harking?, the west woke up
  in the morning and born
    the west said nothing except
a passion for memory and joy
how should we then smother and smother?.

Discover Your Void

No more prayers.
No more loser layers of faith.
Sweep away thoughts of here, after.
Now know it's just me.
Maybe you, too.
Seek a way. Weigh what, a future?
Gospel folly pick your crutch.
Deluded religious mumbos join jumbos,
Scamper to seduce other fools:
"Embrace me",
"Embrace me".
"Save me from myself!"
Fair no longer counts,
No standard measures life.
I am all there is...but not alone.
Welcome, share my finite infinity.
Come, let us gaze upon a Sonless world.
A place devoid of sanctimonious codes.
Enrich us now as we author odes
Harking back to stone clashing stone.
Hail blessed atom!
Arise High Igneous!
Who are you petitioning?
Limitless ooze lurking, expanding,
Walking out of itself.
No wonder, no poetry, poet-less.
I seek fulfillment for my...
Bone deep yearning...
Who does Gravity believe?
Why do Orbits behave?
Where does breeze begin?

In Dylan Thomas's word play is read,
That hunched houses, blind as moles, are spread,
Like covers, feather-downed,
To hush and muffle any sound,
The moon dares make, sneaking overhead.

Town named 'Bugger All' backwards, parades
Its hang-over from late night charades,
Not a voice can be heard,
Not a breath, not a word,
As the moonlight creeps in, wearing shades.

In Under Milk Wood it's black as black.
It's crow-black, bluesy black, harking back,
To times long gone, dispelled,
When tiny towns were spelled,
For one to reconsider its quack.

Seas are fishing boat bobbled to rage.
Boys dream bad, on jolly roger stage.
Shops in mourning do moan.
Dumbfound town folks do groan.
Too late cock, morning's long up on page.

"To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles."
                         ~ Mary Davis

A garden walk planted with trees,
Where blows the pleasant, balmy breeze,
It suits me for my evening walk,
Where Nature and I have a talk,

In cheerful tones, the birds tweet tweet,
Harking to them, I feel upbeat,
Colourful flowers peek at me,
And my heart overflows with glee,

I spy a little hummingbird,
Passionate emotions are stirred,
I recall it's a "good luck" sign,
And thank God for His grace divine,

Many butterflies flutter by,
Their painted wings captures my eye,
Daily with Nature, I've a tryst
In my blooming, breathtaking xyst.

Premium MemberFig Leaf

Flimsy fig leaf camouflage,
subterfuge reveals montage,
mind games at play everyday,
as conscience to rest we lay.

Enacting oneupmanship,
demons of mind we worship,
anchored in hypnotic trance,
enticed by dark desire’s dance.

Engaging in acts feral,
we find our soul’s in peril,
yet we wear the fig leaf mask,
making weary earth life task.

Naked one day before God,
our lower mind’s overawed,
for the web of deceit spun,
needs by us, to be undone.

By our hand, committed theft,
we find ourselves love bereft,
thus reincarnate again,
to erase our soul’s dark stain.

Harking to the divine call,
seeds of love sown, we stand tall,
same inside out, transparent,
vibrant in the bliss current.

Premium MemberLead Us From Darkness To Light

Roots of prejudice run in deep
Negative thoughts we choose to keep
Monster created by our hand
Truly, as we sow, so we reap

This clear truth, when we understand
Frees us from our narrow thought band
Shifting into void of silence
Joy unending, our heart’s demand

Harking to voice of our conscience
Rekindles soul’s luminescence
Sans ego din, we’re free from sin
In vibrant, childlike innocence

No sooner we choose to begin
Heart beckons, so we go therein
Bliss ignition’s continual
Revealing God in-dwells within

Premium MemberSanta Is Coming

The choir is singing a spirited cantata
About the angels harking the herald
Shepherds are grazing flocks by night
And three wise men are traveling afar
While my brother, my sister, and me
Can hardly wait to get home to bed
For Santa is coming with loads of toys
For all the good little girls and boys
We know Christmas is so much more
But it’s impossible to focus on it now

Ghost Train

Oh station , station

Yee of intermittent locomotive
thoroughfare

Once standing proud now
sadly scheduled surplus to
moderna

Redundant made it's ticket
booth , collector and so to
it's master

Resigned and destined for
graffiti spray to patch it's
walls

With it's clock battery powered
down

It's fate a clubhouse for tomorrows
youth to wreck and frequent gather
in and under

Smoke and try initial cigarette
plume cough and alcoholic
spirit drunken after shock
hangover

It's track's to be repatriated back
to nature 6 foot overgrown by
scrub , weed and bush

No click no clack no whisper
harking back

Visitation only by means of
historical scholastic dissertation

It's final lesson thus if willing to
accept

Everything once valued once
it has seved it's purpose and
past it's exasperation date

Will in fact so to in future be
cast aside and face this
exact fate

And maybe if nothing else
but for death will be saved from

Seeing all the things we
treasure and keep as memories
most dear

Disappearing before us and
and so to point out

That the light at the end of the
tunnel is fast becoming dimmed
by the milli-second

I Can'T Breathe: a Tribute To George Floyd

Privileged and lily white, my skin.
Complicit from silence, my shame.
All lives matter, but in this moment, in this uneasy time,
Black lives should matter, not more but equally
So much more equally.
Historically harassed, my brothers and sisters matter because my white privilege
Kept me in the dark,
Kept me from seeing,
Kept me from hearing,
Kept me from understanding the desperate cries of souls harking from history…
“I can’t breathe.”
“I can’t breathe.”
“I can’t breathe.”
Hear me from your rightful place among the angels, George.
I can’t breathe either.

Premium MemberShould Doors Close

Should doors close, you'll find me awaiting
Harking to aeolian whispers,
Watching the windows for your return,
Sitting in crepuscular stillness,
Should doors close, balconies will open,
Creating new possibilities
Of our passionate love reunion,
Look for marked jalousies, should doors close.

In the high lands
a stone angel sings water
creating fluid melodies
and flowers gather round
eternally watching and listening
to his performance
coins are tossed from good souls
who appreciate the arts
people wish blessings from the saint
to be a light
when one is lost at night
Harking onto the sounds
of flowing hope,
this is the hero of the town

In the north,
every sunrise at the ninth hour,
I create angels on the snow
and bring them to life with my harp.
Door to door, we sing and play
for those who can't have a blissful day.
Travelling through town, celebrating snowflakes falling down,
notes and tempo light all harking candles from within
uniting all to follow hope.
After a while, comes Christmas time.
I receive the greatest gift to exist,
your gentle smile.

The Soldiers' March

They marched past my lane warriors all
Smart green fatigues, mirthful soldiers tall,
Hats inclined, their buttons shining bright
Boots drumming into a warming light,
Young hearts harking to their nation’s call.

I laud mother’s who have given birth
To lads seeking a heavenly berth,
Spurning their tomorrows’ for others
Courting death for sake of their brothers,
They are but heavens’ glory on earth.

They melted into that day of June
Unsung heroes in a blazing noon,
Cheered by townsfolk bidding them goodbye
Packing them to battle fields to die,
Their wreaths being readied as festoon.

Their bravery in battles I read
On alien soil they lay and bled,
Spilling pure blood of mothers’ somewhere –
Whose tears of valour only pride can bear,
Their flesh ceded to the land of dead.

O’ History on your pages I smote
That heavens’ pen this bloodied note,
Of unsung heroes who gave their breath
Quartered their flesh at altars of death,
Patriots for whom praises it quote.
