Xyst

"To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles." ~ Mary Davis A garden walk planted with trees, Where blows the pleasant, balmy breeze, It suits me for my evening walk, Where Nature and I have a talk, In cheerful tones, the birds tweet tweet, Harking to them, I feel upbeat, Colourful flowers peek at me, And my heart overflows with glee, I spy a little hummingbird, Passionate emotions are stirred, I recall it's a "good luck" sign, And thank God for His grace divine, Many butterflies flutter by, Their painted wings captures my eye, Daily with Nature, I've a tryst In my blooming, breathtaking xyst.

This is extremely gorgeous. I often think that the solution to many a malady, apart from well crafted words such as these, is to be transported to nature and be present in the surrounding moments. Thank you for this lovely contribution :-)

Everyone can relate with your experience. Rambling through a garden or a shady avenue lined with tall growing trees and enjoying the serenity of nature is so rewarding. Lovely entry for the contest !

Ok...I'll be honest, Joanna...I did look up the meaning of "Xyst"! I like both the quote and the content of your poem. Nature has often been my inspiration, and my trysts with her have always been pleasurable! ~ Regards // paul
