Time is always long as I sing this ten-minute song.
It goes on and on-feeling good all along.
These days are always long.
During them everything goes wrong-
still I sing this song called time is always long.
Time is always long. Time is always long.
In time, I can and will be strong.
Be strong now-why does time have to be so long?
Time is always long. Time is always long.
Waiting so long! While waiting everything is going wrong.
Praying to hang in there and be strong.
Why is time always long?
The world is weary,
weary of the fear but
afraid for the future.
Political campaigns
ugly and growing uglier,
airwaves choked with
insults and outright lies.
Hate thrives and turns
friend against friend.
Covid lurks in wait
outside our doorstep,
invisible, threatening health
and possible death.
Masked people shy away
from one another in stores.
People isolated and lonely,
visitors often limited for seniors.
for many, one bleak day
passes blindly into another.
The only recourse
from television news
strangled by political infighting -
The Animal Planet,
The Great British Baking Show,
old movies, perhaps a Zoom meeting.
The world is weary, but
this, too, shall pass and
become part of our history,
and we will survive with the
hope of creating a better world.
Just hang in there.
HEH WORLD YOU KNOW WHAT, IF YOU ARE RELENTLESSLY PERSISTENT WITH HOPE,
IT MEANS THAT AS TIME GOES BY, YOUR OLD SPARK WILL RETURN
We have been poked, jabbed, starved, locked up, clipped and segregated
our hospitals have been packed, racked and attacked, but now
we are slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel;
Hold out your arms to each other my brothers and sisters
feed each other compassion and empathy, we are all trying to stay afloat
One day this virus will be a thing of the past,
it will be put to pasture like an old goat
and we will dance, romance, glance at each other and read
each others beautiful lips...
Take heart dear world family, God has promised us a sweet eternity
so when your feeling sad and think no one cares,
remember I care, I dare say,
things are going to be, OK !

I know it's uneasy, but you've got to keep trying.
No matter how long you've been loosing,
maybe someday you'll be a winner.
So you've got to keep loving,
no matter how many times you've been heart broken,
maybe one day you'll find that person for you,
or maybe not,
but you can't give up, believing.
Just hang in there
Things will get better
Rise through those hazardous storms
And make yourself sharper
Take advantage of every opportunity
Just reach higher
You can always be better
Continue to inspire
Hope is the greatest gift that I could give,
And I pray that I can give you some hope.
Nurture the thought that all of you will live,
Giving yourselves thoughts that will help you cope.
I can imagine what you will all face,
Not knowing the day when you will get out.
Try to keep your focus in the right place,
Holding on to hope without any doubts.
Encourage each other to remain strong,
Recognizing how close you will become.
Eventually, you will sing your songs,
Making a joyful noise for your freedom.
Each day I will keep you in my prayers.
