Hero's

It's wonderful all the people that are willing to come together,
No matter how big or small the disaster, Man made or mother nature,
They're always a lending hand to rebuild lives, We all need to keep our hero's
of the world in mind, They never had to be this kind, They're present in your life for
your relief,
Thank you search and rescue teams, Thank you anyone who is just a volunteer
willing to help,
I can't imagine How all those families felt,All the people lost there homes, Loved
ones lost too,
I feel for these people in knowing what they've been through, All in shock , Not
knowing where to
go, After getting stuck in the path of an EF5 tornado,

Inspired by a true story in Joplin Missouri. I was born in Joplin then moved away.
Once I graduated high school. I returned. I lived In Joplin for 6 years after
returning. Then moved out of state. The day
I was coming to visit my family in Joplin is the day that the storm came through
producing this mass
destruction. That day Was the 22 of may 2011..

My Prints

i pour out joys and pains from heart
and mix it with my thought
tho chained and caged right from the start
my whole is what i've brought
I let my life be writen down
and share it openly
to show im no monster or clown
and one day ill be free
perhaps that day will never come
perhaps its all in vane
but no regrets, no doubts in sum
release this from my brain
to keep it locked seems to abstract
to share it makes no sence?
while most react with little tact
i'll keep on leaving prints

"ladies of Soup"'

Poet Destroyer is such a good friend...
On and off with chatting and e mails we send...
Each day I check for all the new entries..
Thanking all for comments that are always friendly..
Raising stakes each day by such talent shown..
Your site has helped, for this poet has grown...

So to my friend Wilma across the pond...
Our partnership in crime has formed a nice bond...
Until my Jersey Girl stops her sweet ways...
Poems shall continue to roll all of my days...

Hang In There Men (Dedicated To the Miners In Chile)

Hope is the greatest gift that I could give,
And I pray that I can give you some hope.
Nurture the thought that all of you will live,
Giving yourselves thoughts that will help you cope.
I can imagine what you will all face,
Not knowing the day when you will get out.
Try to keep your focus in the right place,
Holding on to hope without any doubts.
Encourage each other to remain strong,
Recognizing how close you will become.
Eventually, you will sing your songs,
Making a joyful noise for your freedom.
Each day I will keep you in my prayers.
Nothing will keep my thoughts from being there!

"soulmate"

My love for him is as deep as the day is long.
Our life together is like a beautiful love song.
He's my reason for living he gives me his all.
When my day is bad he's there to catch me before I fall.
With all that I have I couldn't ask for more.
He's filled my life with his love to my very core.
He's my love my soulmate my husband my friend.
I will always love him until my very end.

And Nature Was Happy

On the day she was born
Fields of wheat danced joyously,
like sailors coming home.
Skies hued in pink to
announce a newborn female to the world
The beasts of the wood ran exalting
All of nature celebrated the birth
of this extraordinary girl
God sent down a smile-
dancing birds in a feted swirl.

6th place in the "Heaven Sent Smiles" contest by Carolyn Devonshire.
A tribute to the day of her birth.

"i Miss My Mom"

You've been gone almost two years now.
There's no answer's for why or how.
You left this world for a better place.
When we dream at night we see your face.
We've cried for you since the day you left.
Our memories of you we'll never forget.
Days,months,years have passed us by.
Our tears have fell since the day you died.
Oh mommy we wish you were still here.
Just knowing that would stop the fear.
Someday my life will come to an end.
Thats the day we'll be together again.

On This Day...

Here is a toast to Franshae on the day of her graduation, a day we have all been
anticipating! With your head held high and a new degree in your hand, as you throw your
cap into the air and celebrate this day with great hope of your future expectations. As I
reflect back to when your were just a little girl and the light that I saw in your eye's as
they explored the world with hopes and dreams of what treasures and things that they
might someday find. As I watched you bloom into a beautiful rose, so now before me here
stands a beautiful woman, who is well mannered and a fine example of what any mother
or father who had a daughter would want them to be...a Kind hearted woman and beautiful
lady and so very smart too. What an honor it has been for me, to be called your
godmother and your friend as well. It is with great pride and admiration that I say
congratulation to you on this day of your great graduation!

I sing this morn of England's day
they say it's not the thing to do
for we're English ,through and through,
not needed,when red on the map,held sway;
Though this short verse is not a lot,
penned to show England is not forgot;
Of one achievement only,I will boast
and give you this day a toast:
In this fair land you may never alight,
each day in its 'mongrel tongue' we write.

I will toast it with a glass or two
and hope that you may do so too.

England's National day is this week 23rd and this is
an example of the kind of theme for my new contest' SONNET ME'

"lennon & Mccartney"

On a long walk through life I have had my ups and downs
and some not so long..
After a long day out in the sun I look foward to singing
 to my favorite beatle songs...
Words like a day in the life and fixing a hole..
Change my lonely thoughts and let my mind roll..
A strawberry field thats so like my Garden, takes
this new poet to a place where my love is not hardened..
Two poets of a generation that there music and words carry on..
Has imspired me to write and share my thoughts and in spirit
we shall bond..

Never was into poetry before so
The Beatles are my Favorite..

"if I Fall Tonight Will You Be There To Catch Me!!!!"

U say ur in love wit me, that u'll never leave me.
It took me awhile to realize how much u loved me.

I always thought that no matter wat u said u were like all he rest of the guys n gurls i
have dated.
Till the day i got very ill n u were still by my side, day by day night by night.
U never gave up on me, always by my side to hold my hand to let me cry on ur shoulder....

Now the day has come that i am falling hard core,
Today is the day that i finally say "I LOVE U BABE" but for some reason when i say it i
dont get a response back.

"So if i fall tonight will u be there to catch me or let me die with a heart break"
i will always love u alex r.i.p. my love

Valentines Day

I don't want flowers or candy like most people do
All I want is my teddy bear and honey that's you

Valentines day is only one day a year
But it's everyday for you because my love's not going anywhere

I know how much you love me I can see it in your eyes
It's written all over your face that I will always be your first prize

On valentines day our love being stronger will be the only difference
As long as our love keep growing longer it will never be an end to it

So on this valentines day I just want to hold you tight and near my bear
Because my love will be here forever and even better next year.

Suffered Deliverance

The latter day saints
Their unwanted exodus
Had brought them many trials

Their biggest downfall
When Joseph Smith was martyred
It was a catastrophe

Despite their losses
Their legacy continues
The Church is their example

Holy Day of India

Holy Day of India

He was sent to this earth

To spread His mercy as love

He was tested in this earth

to show the power of truth

He was kept in prison

to remove the bondages of his mother

He gave his life with blood

to prove the power of Love

He came as a child and

Went from this land as a sage

He gave his weapons to us

to correct this world from it’s errors

It is the day of our great soul

To pray and to recollect His memories

Premium Member A Graduation Day Poem

(Acrostic poem)

Happy Graduation Day to you!
At last you've completed this journey.
Preparing for a long time you've
Pursued what you've dreamed for and now
You are going on your way up

Greater things are waiting for you and
Really you are on your way now
And there's a more in the future for you to do and your
Dad and your mom must be very proud of you
Use your talents well and be the best you can be, remember
All that you have done to get where you're now
This is not the end but it's just the beginning for you so
Inspire others you meet on your way out to do the same and
Open the door of your heart and
Never quit dreaming but hold on tight to your hopes 'cause

Day after day there are more things to do and learn
And remember to be honest and true to you because...
You can make all your dreams come true one day too

Happy Graduation Day to you!

:)
