Voracious Appetite

Around the kitchen
I was bumbling
with pots and pans
see me fumbling
for something yummy
with an empty tummy
it was rumbling
took a long hard look
and now I'm mumbling
as there's not a lot to cook
but bread crusts crumbling
long past their sell-by date
it's ever-so humbling
but there's no point at all
this late in grumbling
about standing the heat
or beating a retreat
but better yet

I sing of having gratitude, 
But then, what is my attitude? 
I murmur and complain
For not receiving rain;
Oh LORD, transform my grumbling heart!

I write of having thankfulness, 
But then, I drown in anxiousness, 
I lament, whine and mourn
And make my life forlorn;

The old clogs
Retreating
From outdoor
To be worn
Only
In a bathroom
Make a loud nouse
As though crying
At the shoes' revolution
Of the young generation
Sometimes a clumsy old man resembles
The old clogs
Grumbling loudly and helplessly
At the young generation
For any differences
In life style or ideology

The Unattended

The old man
Slow and tumbling
Always grumbling for nothing
Has an insanitary habit of finger-licking 
Always enjoys digging mucus in the nose
Saliva always being used to flip a page
Always bites to open a knot
Water tap always being left turning on
Always a careless choking on food or water
Resembling a big baby on care 
But always being left alone

AN OLD MAN'S GRUMBLING 

How quickly does our time go. 
The days run by, the years fly. 
If the young men only know, 
That old age is to defy.  

Aging is a long, long road, 
And comes when you do not wait. 
Aging means a new abode  
Onto which you will go straight.

Shabby Temple 
O' the tavern is; 

Inn for the loneliness; 

but alone I’m in crowded,

On these lonely and forlorn days,
the word past,
more than the word future,
grew and piled high as the castle wall.
