Transform My Grumbling Heart

I sing of having gratitude, But then, what is my attitude? I murmur and complain For not receiving rain; Oh LORD, transform my grumbling heart! I write of having thankfulness, But then, I drown in anxiousness, I lament, whine and mourn And make my life forlorn; Oh LORD, transform my grumbling heart! I pen of having gratefulness, But then, am filled with hatefulness, I whimper, moan and groan 'bout problems still unknown; Oh LORD, transform my grumbling heart! I teach of having thanksgiving, But then, how am I still living? I mutter, cry and grunt When troubles come upfront; Oh LORD, transform my grumbling heart!

True words Jo, we do need God's spirit to change our hearts treacherous leanings. Enjoyed the read.
