Your colour, Green
You are a Belter
Sunny side up
A helter-skelter
Of emotions

My soul recharged
From brighter skies
Bubble of joy
From the prickly lies
Of the world

Our hearts and minds
You fondly nourish
Circadian reset
Love with a flourish
Of colour

Intense in tents
Intent on intimate
Introspection
Delivering deliberate
Conversation

Above all
A high beauty yield
Back home to a
Beloved Boughton field
In August

Under the blue sky,
The mountain peak is reminiscing quietly,
Volcanoes from past slumbering quietly,
Sometime awakened, sends tremors all around rapidly.

On the mountain peak, no one lives,
No church, temple or huge mansion exists,
Birds and animals live there freely, trees and forest exist,
Sometimes deer and fauna come to drink the water in the flowing creek.

Behind the houses, greenbelt exists,
Big trees make me feel so little,
The tree leaves dance in mild winds,
Heart feels peace and tranquility looking at this scene.

The willow tree looks beautiful in my garden,
Blue jays nest there, don’t know where hummingbirds live,
Roses, jasmine, petunias adorn my garden,
I spend my days looking at this charming scenario.

Easter-Wester and Resurrection

I
A few hours after April 9th began
My puppies yelping woke me, helping
Me be thankful for this holiday -
Easter day! Better yet: Resurrection Day
For Easter was pagan, named for Oestre
A Persian goddess (?) Yet Persia had early Christ-ians galore
In earlier daylight the further East we are
I'm grateful for my Family, a Friend in Africa,
And all of America (a Maryland lake, Artemesia)
And my kids' friend called Grandma Aurelia
As I celebrate the Resurrection hopes
"Old" writer-college friends Grady Dorset, Jim Link ...
Gone too soon, Jim being missed in Greenbelt
A town begun by the Roosevelts (Elanor had graced it)
But God, Creator Love, gave us this idea:
Eternal Spring with Thy Maker - Jesus, for me - resurrection : death and life in perfect intimacy
I'm so glad Nelson Mandela forgave - Jesus then became real for me

II
I sent out Resurrection Day messages, pics
Already in these wee hours. I bless you all

Jim Link - 3 Years On

I
Jim was the archetypal Mensch
We loved writing, Greenbelt MD, Jesus

II
At the edge of my tears
I could sit, daydream, make monuments with words
The Hindu soul within my Soul
Had adored weaving flowers for Jaggan
Whose mom died while he was the driver
Our ancestors will gladly bequeath garlands
Tropical and exotic strelitzia and protea
But you and I are forever in another lineage
The eternal family through a lamb, Jesus

Sedoka 577 For Jim Link of Greenbelt Maryland Usa

is it goodbye too?
Jim Link fought the valiant fight
in and for poems, and friends (me);
first Grady Dorsett
and now it is Christmastime
So tarry, 'til I fly "home"

Word Hobo and Heroes In Poetry Especially Prof Jim Link

A Peace Poem for Jim Link and Word Hobo:
This close to CHRISTmas what may I say
You two have seen so much, fought so well ...
And for the underdog, Prof. Jim Link, you and I
Travelled the Maryland trails of poetry and "News"
As in Greenbelt News Review (OLDest community paper,
in the Grand Old United States. An honor I wrote with Thee)
And now, you are both uttering "So Long, Adios, Alvida"
I could cry, and hold onto your hand; but the pain
Is what you know intimately, almost as Jesus did
On THAT Cross at Calvary to reconcile rebellious,
Ingrates, and egregious law-breakers (me) with Abba Father -
As in John 14, or even in John 8: "You cannot come with me!"
Echoes of Jesus --- in the good times, foretelling & teaching
As only He could do. I must go so better things will come:
THE HOLY SPIRIT: parakletos, a Helper of the Same Kind!
May the Spirit heal Thee in Jesus' Name, or take over
The driving ... with the celestial wings. Or is it Holy Breath?

Much Love this and EVERY CHRISTMAS I will celebrate without Thy wishes

Greenish Love

It's spring and the sun is waking up so take my hand let's walk down the green fields. For this is where our love began. It's still young, fresh like green leaves, and I pray there wouldn't be drought seasons. Give me the green light and forget the green flies. On this field I plant our love with my green thumb and it will grow making you a greengage and I will be the greengrocer. I see you greenery my love, in a way that the world calls me a greenhorn. So let's guard our love like a greenbelt, and I promise you will stay evergreen.

Premium MemberThe New Bypass

Clinging to sunny Bognors regal
skirts
At his Majesties most royal verges
The readied hand thrusts upon the
lever,
And, shuddering, She forward lurches.

Clanking ominously over diesel fueled
growls,
Expediency, they said, was driven
to ignore:
The raised up objections and anguished
frowns,
And track them under tracked-over
ground.

For by unanimous vote they did smugly
decide,
Albeit tales of backhanders hotly denied,
That poor clymping Parish could no longer
abide
The daily through fare of the popular ride.

So when you next travel upon the new
Bypass
Think of the local residents you no longer
harass;
Dwell on the advantages you formerly
decried,
Whilst ripping through the greenbelt
to the jolly seaside.

Think of their tearooms, and the little
stone bridge,
Think of the old fort just beyond the sharp
ridge;
Think of their gift shops decked out with
festoons,
With bright little trinkets, plates and silver
spoons.

For over and beyond the ancient on-looking
hills
Creeps an old warming wind that carefully
steals:
To gently gather up the wretched mechanical
sounds -
And bear them away above the pale, distant
Downs!
