Struggling parents skipping meals so their children
can eat,
good Samaritans pulling someone from a burning
vehicle by a highway or street.
Police, military, some fallen in a firefight saving
other's lives,
firefighters going into an inferno rescuing people
out of a high rise,
that's a hero.
A work-weary single parent rewarded with their
small children's love,
praying for a raise gazing out the window
far above.
Blood donors answering the call to step up
during a critical need,
environmentalists' earth honoring creed,
that's a hero.
Two elderly men in 2023 quietly standing
up for unborn babies in front of a Baltimore
Planned Parenthood beaten up by a hater,
with their broken bones and bruises came
back to the abortion clinic four days later.
A lone swimmer saves two drowning people,
so brave,
barely makes it back to shore, but silently
watches EMTs give care to those he saved.
People standing tall for what is right,
can sleep well under God in the night.
Heroes don't hesitate-
their adrenaline surges, then they go,
that's a hero. ~
What defines Queen?
A question in my mind supreme;
No subject to betitled Kings;
A regality not bestowed by bling.
A Queen will match a King in strength;
But intelligence gives that subtle edge;
I mean this not to cause offense;
I look to natural evidence.
What inner strength must Queens possess;
To be unbending faced with this:
A world were men dictate and stress;
Where Nature constant screams "REDRESS!"
What worlds were saved as Queens engaged;
In lands so ravaged after plague;
War and disease unleash evil;
Which Queens both nurse and fight with skill.
As man's injustice cracks man's law;
Our Queens stand firm and shout "NO MORE!
I bore you life, through me you are,
My stake in life is to give care"
A Queen protects that nuclear;
For fickle males do disappear;
A Queen remains to bring repair;
Engender values we hold dear.
My Queen: my mother, sister, aunt;
You are a light where darkness haunts;
Take up your leading role and know;
That as a man I bow down low.
bird comes by and gives a caw
a magpie or a jack-a-daw?
annoying sound in the night air.
Loud barking dog doth not give care.
charcoal smell wafts past my keen nose.
neighbor cookout, do you suppose?
Hilary A Corona Birthday
Gown, mask, gloves, only eyes showing,
Intent in her task as Hopkins nurse,
Covid 19 victims owing,
Their repair, escaping fate serious,
To Hill-Bill types not "Status Quo-ing",
Risking danger, putting care first,
Huddle of "1st Class" providers "Pow Wowing",
Pooling talents, to forestall the worst,
Keeping life flowing, families knowing,
Nurses give care in earnest,
Corona row can be tough hoeing,
We're alive to splash not be a tourist,
Hil's pals keep vital signs glowing,
So be "Heroist" in losses "Zeroist"!
Life
tends to
give you back
the life you give
to the life you live.
Therefore, it pays
to give care

Ctest, Say it in nine, Joseph May. 1P
pomegranate days with a twilit moon at night,
never parting ways even when a silly fight-
staying up late and laughing over tea,
for love is everything...he is to me
our racing hearts connected
sweet passion collected
never being neglected
my defects accepted
the center of a universe when sweet adoration is needed,
weak walls fallen down and a strong castle completed-
when i give care, appreciated beyond compare,
always knowing his affection will be there
needs so intense
fever with chills
take no offence
embrace love’s thrills
love is a moment lasted in time,
proven through metered rhythm and rhyme-
i’ve seen much love in my adoring short-lived life,
but no love compares...to being his wife

"He was the most wanted baby, a perfect boy except he was flawed."
He had sweet chubby cheeks and eyes so bright,
and he laughed and blew bubbles all the time.
And my mother said he was a delight,
I thought my little brother was sublime.
All was fine till the age of nine did chime,
then, we noticed he seemed confused and lost.
we sent him here and there and spared no cost,
soon, it was clear he was mentally ill.
Father cried at night and in his bed tossed,
he is a grown man now and is lost still.
We kids try somehow to give care,
as mom and dad are in heaven now;
I am scared as he will just stare,
we kids try somehow.
Often help he will not allow,
when we try he will just glare;
and we struggle to find the how.
It takes a tear and a prayer,
determination and a vow;
of love- though he is unaware,
we kids try somehow.

Silver women with fragile spines
Lonely during the week, they must be doing something right
The loneliness doesn’t affect them, and they don’t want to scream and shout
Daily feelings of sadness, sometimes are beautiful and sometimes are loud
These women transformed themselves in statues made of seam and dreams
So they can stay in their days willing to give, care and redeem
Time isn’t the problem, but let there be courage to move forward old days of resembling habits
Make them brave, and they would be the Sea Lion Woman of their own credits
he is the light
am just the night
he put here
and there
to give care
and am aware
in his plan
he gave me these
HEALNG HANDS
A long, lost dream lay dormant for many years
Beneath a constant sea of delays and indecision
Stuck in a routine so unappealing to my spirit
Hours spent in self indulgence became the norm of each day
It did promote team spirit however, did nothing for my famished soul
At break of dawn, the alarm clock would sound,
Anger stirred deep in my soul; hindering my commune with God
Then along came Holy Matrimony, or so I thought it was
Graciously, light revealed the cobwebs that draped my life
It was then, at that crossroad where clarity and strength revived
My inspiration, one consolation, an angel sent from above
In defining ways, she would teach me what it means to truly love
With no expectations, no remuneration, observing in awe and pure joy
It was no accident that I found my lost dream in yesterday’s ruins
These gentle hands are blessed to heal, love and give care
lift an angel to the sky.grief angel,grieve out tunnels of fortune and grab.sap
sucker,routine affair,sap sucker,give care and thanks,i dont own a tank.
Such, such great blessings
For me, with all my writings
Thou, a year ago, my heart
Had no idea where to start
I really wanted to give care
Yet, I was too shy to share
My part, thou, I already met
Two left paws, in a tiny set
A serious type petite haiku
And, his twin sibling senryu
I did learn their cute names
O yes! I played the games
Still, I scrambled in my spell
Thinking they were from hell
Write....write, until I learned
To learn is to burn is to earn
My inspiration’s from Above
I finally explore my true love
I love you…O, love me, too!
As, I open my heart, for you!
Thou, I may not be the best
Read me, while having rest
For a thing or two, you gain
‘Cos this isn’t all about vain
There is, a joy, to be found
Like me, I heard the sound
Of happiness, when I saw
Strangers, I even not know
They were united in singing
Songs, of my great blessing
At times, when moon is fool
Is enough, to be….thankful!
