"He was the most wanted baby, a perfect boy except he was flawed."
He had sweet chubby cheeks and eyes so bright,
and he laughed and blew bubbles all the time.
And my mother said he was a delight,
I thought my little brother was sublime.
All was fine till the age of nine did chime,
then, we noticed he seemed confused and lost.
we sent him here and there and spared no cost,
soon, it was clear he was mentally ill.
Father cried at night and in his bed tossed,
he is a grown man now and is lost still.
We kids try somehow to give care,
as mom and dad are in heaven now;
I am scared as he will just stare,
we kids try somehow.
Often help he will not allow,
when we try he will just glare;
and we struggle to find the how.
It takes a tear and a prayer,
determination and a vow;
of love- though he is unaware,
we kids try somehow.
