Gath Poems | Examples

Premium Member Giant Goliath Smitten

Goliath*, mighty giant

Against young David he was defiant

With God’s strength triumphantly prevailing

Goliath, smitten by David; forever in defeat, ailing.

*1Samuel 17:4 And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

Train For Goliath

Six cubits and a span high from Gath
Bronze brazened head, legs and arm-rest
Jacket plates heavier than heavyweight
A spear standing firmly like a free pillar

He stands fiercely between now and there
His breath blows strong shivers through each spine
His words makes bones rattle and faces hide.
He spits on everything you once thought true.

It seems the end already at the very start.
How does one surpass such impossibility?
Where does one turn with such narrow close?
Sit and sleep seems the best freedom ‘mong none.

Biting your naked nails won’t make Gath bow.
Learn to fix your eyes on the better view:
The God-thus-far against the Gath-of-now.
A little peek out then your fears become real.

It takes more than a sling to stand over him.
It takes strength drawn from the lion and bear.
It takes the growing intimacy of yesteryears.
It takes bold shouts and a race towards Goliath.

Pentapolis Revision 2

PENTAPOLIS

GAZA.
From this small clearing he won’t move
into the ligneous shades of dark,
fixed stillness in his day’s aubade,
all circled there by timber spars.
ASHKELON
At times a bright lit path appears
so then he’s tempted to explore.
ASHDOD
Yet just one brush against those spars
and then small folk come tumbling down.
EKRON
Hate filled, from stilts they fall to ground.
GATH.
Here their delusions lose the light,
around them only spars they see
bearing the clan with tunnelled sight
that trample virtuosity into a pulp
where arts confined to narrow paths this
modish time.

King David and the Lady Godiva

Inspired from the first chapter of the prophet Esaias....

Among the Living and among the remnant you are...

No , the people don't need other heroes.....
The fury road has led to this moment
Where the Giant of Gath....GOG himself
And MAGOG ....the Norman's of France stand to assert.
Stand to assail....ride as triumphant and humble...
Seize the moment, the moment is here and God Christ
Who you have trusted as Master has placed the moment before you.
In His Eternal Name March forward to the victors crown
Yea, the fury road goes on for thee, for thou art amongst the remnant.
Yet Christ be the Master and Leader...victory THROUGH HIM
is thine, o servant remnamt

Step Out

STEP OUT

There is a frequency we cannot connect with except we step out
There is a frequency that we can only connect with when we step out
Every step births illumination and grandparents another greater step
Legacy footsteps emerging from years and years of search and prep
The path of innovation is a lonely path darkened by ignorance
Till light dawns and never been done before becomes a chance
Only those who step out can encounter this virgin path
Growing to Indelible foot prints like the ancient legendary Gath
Therein is the higher waive beyond this terrestrial vibes
A greater level of knowing far beyond the learned scribes
There is a frequency we cannot connect with until we step out
There is a frequency that we can only connect with after we’ve stepped out
Like the spider begin to habitat higher heights with your web
The harvest will be bounty but the seed is in a step
Step out!!!
