The empty house is silent, I can't see
Blinded by grief, it has overcome me
Your voice is not heard, dawn to the sunset
The loss of your strength has overcome me
Tears won't bring you back, I love and I lost
Heartbreak melancholy overcomes me
I'm broken, but your memories will heal
Through gaping pain that has overcome me

Do you yawn more when tired
than when you've just woken up?
This is the gaping gap of yawn's yolk
in 'chasmology', the study of yawning!
Why you do it, when, and what brings it on?
One quirk is that all vertebrates
reptiles, sharks, lions, kittens, and their babies
all yawn and its highly contagious.
It spreads in a room and a zoo.
One yawn can make all others yawn
when seeing a yawn in their face.
It's simply irresistible!
You can't stop it,
even if you wanted to!
Strangely, the stress from overexertion,
pent-up expectation,
and the quiet stagnation of boredom
can all trigger a yawn, even if quashed!
Bored babies even yawn in the womb.
Close friends yawn in unison.
Much more often than strangers jointly gape together!
Interesting stuff. Huh!
Have you yawned yet?

When you entice me
stare at
steadfast
you will ponder
what I project
too many males
relentlessly own
or terrible pattern
Untrusted
stand tall
I agnize this feeling
Outside the rules
the truth is the last
your shine
caught me ignorant
too defenseless gaping
interrogate
if I quit
dedication.

I walk this life's line
a gaping space over waters host
While above me a dove
Holding this a landscape plug
terrain placement temporarily in spaced
Granting me passage
Such a long right of passage found
Once I cross in line graced
I rest I sit down

Gaping open wounds that never heal
Is this what is for each of us is the real deal
Sometimes it’s the pain
That in the end remains
You may think your heart will break
For what in the end will you make
Of this world of bitter tears
Look to ante up you may be in arrears.

Gaping Hole In Budget
Went on trip when from reality was escaping,
And to do it up some money was scraping
Finally after I had saved enough and a lot
As usual again ended up getting caught
With bug whole in budget terribly gaping.

Promised that I would send this to
Kathleen McDonald. She and I go
to St. James Episcopal and she
used to be an English teacher.
We were together doing grounds
cleanup over the weekend. I also
wrote my tree poem for her. Don't
have her email address so am
forwarding this to Father Dave so
he can forward it.

Talk aloud
To the air
To a ghost
No one
Listens
A breath
A moment
A minute
To be heard
All the time
People nod
Like they know
But empty
Like gourds
Are the depths
Of the words
Long ago
You stopped
Telling
Teaching
Speaking
Yelling
But they
Still nod
Never noticing
Your silence
