Spill the tea, tipped up spout, stirred
    Friction mixes fiction into fructose
    Whispers pull expectant ears close
Muffled message can barely be heard

Listen where truth and lies intertwine
Hot off the press, a hopscotch
    Pebble thrown, trending watch
    Manoeuvred over as squares 3- 6- 9

    Folded inside last week’s newspaper
    Transfer blur, ink bleed injury
    Tear away band-aid gingerly
    Atrocities reduced to peculiar caper

Shrine to memory melts fact, flimsy
    Shadows spread black plague
    Smokey mirror, images vague
    Cloak and dagger funhouse whimsy

Pressed for truth, tea bags shrivel
Leaking last drips of drunk dribble

My Senses

The sun is shining. Rays of light shine upon my skin, and my inner light within assists me in me being incandescent. I emit light. I am luminescent. Reminiscent of the morning star I shine bright, and brighter than light itself. I know myself and it is important to know thyself. I breath in the Earth's air, and I yearn for the sweet taste of my favorite fruit , a pear. The taste of the fruit tickles my tongue, and I hear myself giggle. The juice from my pear trickles down my chin, and I see I have eaten every part of the fleshy fruit, once a beaute, and now all that is left if the core. The core of me, the part of me that is central to my existence, is living. I can smell the fructose on my breath. My appetite is not pacified, but it is close.

WHAT NO SUGAR MEANS

What no sugar means
Is that it’s sugar free
For a diabetic
It’s very important
But when something
That’s supposed to be
Sugar free has sweetener
Inside, like fructose or
Sweet and low, it’s
A misrepresentation of
A sugar free product, plus
It’s bad for diabetics

HEALTHY EATING

The food that supposed to be
Healthy, has underline
Plus, damaging
Chemicals inside that’s not
Good for your body
Sugar free supposed to be
Sugar free but it’s loaded with
Fructose that’s harmful
For people with diabetes

Errosia

I swung my mini fridge door wide
Revealing tiny porridge pops and coke
They puddled the shelfs dripping down,
Sticky little oats and fructose

The mess muddied my socks
Soaking my bow and sole
Like a beach of sweaty skittles
Carried by the melting rocks

I raised my knee to my shoulder
To watch sludge fall and splat
Ingraining my mess in the carpet
Compelling my toes to stretch

Not Nutella

US americans
spending weeks
camping on a beach
in Greece breaks the body

down to where
we've gathered one
by one collecting each
and everyone's drachmas

we need
peanut
butter
the

real stuff we saw
on the local grocers'
shelf we all willing and
young to eat Skippy with

all the heart
attack ingredients
especially high fructose
corn syrup because after all

it was only
an eight ounce
jar so how could
we go too far down

one
more
level of
damnation

Have You Got Gas?
By: Tom Wright
8/1/2006

I power your mowers and propel your cars
One of many derivatives from a barrel of oil,
Pushing three stage rockets past the stars
I’m used to power machines that work the soil.

From our Electrical Grids to Co-generation
There isn’t a locality where I’m not seen needed.
I push, pull, and propel this great nation
While signs of my shortage go relatively unheeded.

Were experiment with solar and fructose the beet
We make ethanol from corn, and if It’s so keen.
Lets go one step further to something really neat
Why not harness our gas from the lowly bean?

Premium MemberSugar Sarcophagus

Squatting in the insouciant syrup of a somber solid sucrose,
I’m cemented in a molasses morose and its lipogenic fructose.

The glucose gathers as regurgitated nectar barfed by a buzzing swarm,
And what’s inside is fossilized into a saccharine sticky form.

Alas, an amber chamber for a saprophagous future,
Entombs me in my own sarcophagus sealed with a sugar suture.

In this honeycomb crumbling catacomb that captures those who enter,
I’m licked away like a lollipop with a parasitic center.

For all that’s left inside of me has soured into a rotten pile of litter,
As all that’s sweat outside my skin conceals the inner bitter.

ROSES ARE RED

The flower’s crimson cerise hue
creates the petal’s grand debut
of love and memories to recall
my florid sanguine gift of all

VIOLETS ARE BLUE

Azalea breath with foxglove tones
embellish with an azure clone
herbaceous with a petal white
where insects set and birds alight

SUGAR IS SWEET

Bright butterflies on zephyr breeze
sip nectar from Sakura trees
I watch them dance from break of dawn
on flowers where their wings adorn

AND SO ARE YOU

You sent me a bouquet of love
drifting down from heaven above
Candy kisses sweet as fructose
on bended knee you now propose

Premium MemberI Am So Sweet

How can I live without sugar, fructose, glucose,
I love cookies, candies, pies, and pastries and cake;
oh that sweet, sweet lactose, dextrose and cellulose,
grandma's cherry jam and her cupcakes and cheesecake.

I love cookies, candies, pies, and pastries and cake,
that lovely white crystalline substance I love;
grandma's cherry jam and her cupcakes and cheesecake,
I am so sweet, my love calls me his sugar dove.

That lovely white crystalline substance I love,
I start with candy - coated honey cereal;
I am so sweet, my love calls me his sugar dove,
in the afternoon, coca cola ethereal.

I start with candy-coated honey cereal,
never, ever, no "SUGAR" -  that illegal drug;
in the afternoon, coca cola ethereal,
yes, I should change my name to Sugar Lady Bug.

Never, ever, no "SUGAR"- that illegal drug,
oh that sweet, sweet lactose, dextrose and cellulose;
yes, I should change my name to Sugar Lady Bug,
how can I live without sugar, fructose, glucose!

Holy Matrimony

This day I have much to say
To say “I do” is long over due,
Pressure has turned to treasure,
As relegation transformed into relaxation,
Gossip is now a floral of roses, which
Makes our foes to swallow shame as hexoses.

Her necklace glitters like corundum
which is a beautified addendum,
After waiting for four seasons
before going to the altar,
This union is going to be better,
For deep love is observed to the latter.

Pain has turned to gain,
and tears to ‘cheers!’ ,
Loneliness of the past is now blessing at last,
Being a groom today makes me bloom with joy,
As my bride walks towards me with pride,
Couple we are, couple we will be!,
From ages to ages without rage.

*Hexoses-six carbon sugars e.g glucose,fructose and galactose…

Premium MemberMexican Coke

After receiving approval from the FDA,
high fructose corn syrup replaced cane sugar one day.
The world market price of sugar went sky high.
The company thought they would give it a try.
The move significantly lowered the production cost.
However, the most ardent fans thought something was lost.
The world’s most popular soft drink earned a lot of fame.
Somehow, many thought the taste was not quite the same.
They still use cane sugar at production plants in Mexico.
Their soft drink today is the same as it was years ago.
So some people import the stuff from below the border in the south.
It’s the only kind that will ever enter their mouth.

Food of the Gods

The deadly comet is coming
Earth stands in its way
Like a splice between Armageddon
And Independence Day
Spaceships above our cities
Breaking new, "We're not alone"
Like a new Dunkirk evacuation
To take us to a new home

Trusting my intuition
I elect not to leave
Everyone I know boards a craft
To the 'Come Sail Away' theme
My heart in desperate turmoil
As the ships are flying away
Never has "alone" been so real
As on this heart-wrenching day

I watch the coming comet
Knowing my time is almost gone
Then to my utter amazement
It comes to a complete stop
And then it dawns on me
This was all a gigantic ruse
Our separation from our birthplace
Was something we had to choose

Soon after the evacuation
Wondrous plants begin to grow
Mother Earth was ready to evolve
Now vegetation with a pulsating glow
Feeling like Adam reborn
I slowly take a bite
And then I'm suddenly aware
As my mind grows toward the sky

I feel myself transcending
From limitations always believed
That concept is losing its meaning
As god fructose enters my bloodstream
And I suddenly know everything
As my shell breaks like a dam
It's my birthright to ask, "Who am I?"
And I finally realize that "I Am"
