ROSES ARE RED
The flower’s crimson cerise hue
creates the petal’s grand debut
of love and memories to recall
my florid sanguine gift of all
VIOLETS ARE BLUE
Azalea breath with foxglove tones
embellish with an azure clone
herbaceous with a petal white
where insects set and birds alight
SUGAR IS SWEET
Bright butterflies on zephyr breeze
sip nectar from Sakura trees
I watch them dance from break of dawn
on flowers where their wings adorn
AND SO ARE YOU
You sent me a bouquet of love
drifting down from heaven above
Candy kisses sweet as fructose
on bended knee you now propose

Bio
This day I have much to say
To say “I do” is long over due,
Pressure has turned to treasure,
As relegation transformed into relaxation,
Gossip is now a floral of roses, which
Makes our foes to swallow shame as hexoses.
Her necklace glitters like corundum
which is a beautified addendum,
After waiting for four seasons
before going to the altar,
This union is going to be better,
For deep love is observed to the latter.
Pain has turned to gain,
and tears to ‘cheers!’ ,
Loneliness of the past is now blessing at last,
Being a groom today makes me bloom with joy,
As my bride walks towards me with pride,
Couple we are, couple we will be!,
From ages to ages without rage.

How can I live without sugar, fructose, glucose,
I love cookies, candies, pies, and pastries and cake;
oh that sweet, sweet lactose, dextrose and cellulose,
grandma's cherry jam and her cupcakes and cheesecake.
I love cookies, candies, pies, and pastries and cake,
that lovely white crystalline substance I love;
grandma's cherry jam and her cupcakes and cheesecake,
I am so sweet, my love calls me his sugar dove.
That lovely white crystalline substance I love,
I start with candy - coated honey cereal;
I am so sweet, my love calls me his sugar dove,
in the afternoon, coca cola ethereal.
I start with candy-coated honey cereal,
never, ever, no "SUGAR" - that illegal drug;
in the afternoon, coca cola ethereal,
yes, I should change my name to Sugar Lady Bug.
Never, ever, no "SUGAR"- that illegal drug,
oh that sweet, sweet lactose, dextrose and cellulose;
yes, I should change my name to Sugar Lady Bug,
how can I live without sugar, fructose, glucose!

Ignore my friend, ignore
work, work, work, hard,
40 hours to the corp,
20 hours to the family
and 40 to the drugs
you house is so nice
your car is better
40 to the corp
ignore the abuse,
slave labor in another country....
the blood, sweat, and tears....
You didnt do it, its the CEO
who makes those decisions.
Lobbyists supporting the war
wow, the profits, bonus for all..
Evil, abuse, pollution, war.
Make that check and run home.
20 to the family
Oh my beautiful children,
that hate me, but at least their fed well.
They dont value me, such stupid children
I work so hard for them,
My wife who doesnt like sex,
does that mean she doesnt love me?
I like it when we pretend,
we actually get along then,
please pretend some more,
that we love each other, please.
40 to the drugs
Television, Sports, video games, high fructose corn syrup,
chlorinated, flouridated water tastes so nice.
Caffiene, sugar, alcohol, nicotine
I still can't cope, anybody got some dope?
Damnit where is that rope?
The pharmacy can cure your pain,
and if not we can shock your brain.
This is my culture. I am sad for it, but am addicted to it.

Squatting in the insouciant syrup of a somber solid sucrose,
I’m cemented in a molasses morose and its lipogenic fructose.
The glucose gathers as regurgitated nectar barfed by a buzzing swarm,
And what’s inside is fossilized into a saccharine sticky form.
Alas, an amber chamber for a saprophagous future,
Entombs me in my own sarcophagus sealed with a sugar suture.
In this honeycomb crumbling catacomb that captures those who enter,
I’m licked away like a lollipop with a parasitic center.
For all that’s left inside of me has soured into a rotten pile of litter,
As all that’s sweat outside my skin conceals the inner bitter.

Couplet
Cumuli
October 24, 2013 at 12:56pm
The contents of my head empty into my stomach
Where nonsense meets yesterday’s frozen Styrofoam spinach cheese pesto ravioli dinner
And a mix of fake pepperoni pizza from lunch
Chocolate topped pink and yellow striped butterscotch and vanilla flavored jelly beans
In plasticized wrappers
And fluorescent day-glow blue caffeinated high fructose sugar beverages
In clear polyethylene terephthalate containers
Pretty and poisonous pollutants ingested and partially digested
We are what we eat and what we throw away
And either way it all sinks to the lowest of places
I had a lofty idea once and spelled out the word, “c u m u l u s”, in my alphabet soup
“Cumuli” means, “heap”, or “pile”, in Latin
Root for the word, “accumulate”
This from a culture that also gives us the word, “vomitorium”, which I think appropriate
So I then gulped down the cloud word of canned hydrogenated processed letters
And chemically enhanced perfectly machine squared orange and green vegetables
Submerged in a reddish brown sodium infused steaming bath
I imagine my bowels are a colorful syrupy serpentine garbage train
Of half eaten scrambled letters, eggs, saturated fats and other gastronomical delights
Where some is vice versa absorbed
To eventually feed my mind again with an endless supply of junk food sludge debris
As the remainder rumbles off in an overlapping “S” shaped extrusion
And or a foregone voluminous towering land fill conclusion
Sometimes it’s all about voiding one hole and filling another

After receiving approval from the FDA,
high fructose corn syrup replaced cane sugar one day.
The world market price of sugar went sky high.
The company thought they would give it a try.
The move significantly lowered the production cost.
However, the most ardent fans thought something was lost.
The world’s most popular soft drink earned a lot of fame.
Somehow, many thought the taste was not quite the same.
They still use cane sugar at production plants in Mexico.
Their soft drink today is the same as it was years ago.
So some people import the stuff from below the border in the south.
It’s the only kind that will ever enter their mouth.

The deadly comet is coming
Earth stands in its way
Like a splice between Armageddon
And Independence Day
Spaceships above our cities
Breaking new, "We're not alone"
Like a new Dunkirk evacuation
To take us to a new home
Trusting my intuition
I elect not to leave
Everyone I know boards a craft
To the 'Come Sail Away' theme
My heart in desperate turmoil
As the ships are flying away
Never has "alone" been so real
As on this heart-wrenching day
I watch the coming comet
Knowing my time is almost gone
Then to my utter amazement
It comes to a complete stop
And then it dawns on me
This was all a gigantic ruse
Our separation from our birthplace
Was something we had to choose
Soon after the evacuation
Wondrous plants begin to grow
Mother Earth was ready to evolve
Now vegetation with a pulsating glow
Feeling like Adam reborn
I slowly take a bite
And then I'm suddenly aware
As my mind grows toward the sky
I feel myself transcending
From limitations always believed
That concept is losing its meaning
As god fructose enters my bloodstream
And I suddenly know everything
As my shell breaks like a dam
It's my birthright to ask, "Who am I?"
And I finally realize that "I Am"

Have You Got Gas?
By: Tom Wright
8/1/2006
I power your mowers and propel your cars
One of many derivatives from a barrel of oil,
Pushing three stage rockets past the stars
I’m used to power machines that work the soil.
From our Electrical Grids to Co-generation
There isn’t a locality where I’m not seen needed.
I push, pull, and propel this great nation
While signs of my shortage go relatively unheeded.
Were experiment with solar and fructose the beet
We make ethanol from corn, and if It’s so keen.
Lets go one step further to something really neat
Why not harness our gas from the lowly bean?

Lyric
I tripped upon a dream rock inside motor head
stepped upon the perfect stare while i ran
fall out to take the blame and ate the fruit
against the night -- to be fructose inside my veins
i don't like how you see me any more
i don't like how you say you love me
i love no less and what is more i love less
then if love is a reason to become winter
we will walk a winter's night in day
and hail flowers that grow where our sighs are dry
oh well oh well oh oh
did our love then, in spring be green and healthy?
It's fairly simple as you know.
i trust it as our autumn will be dark and desperate,
but if our summer is warm we do love in spring,
and our autumn loves in summer
like a bullet for all bullets metaphorically
god directs our well-fed flowers of autumn
i'm falling
ah oh right
falling
it comes to a final spring
my love and yours
i've been think and writing too much
seeing seeds that are ripe and the ripening fruit
now are mine to pluck and your sweetness
is perfect scented nature trembling in joy that has
soon lost the raw innocence of spring.
We race by light leaving trails of sweet-scented jasmine that
smiles for all romantic lovers.

being treated for fructose spasms
during one of the last movies on Earth
after the great Enema of 2012
when the heaters were on high
the authorities were called in
but his claims were all backed up
by the logic of chimes and daggers
creatures of comfort unite
you have nothing to lose but
your milk mouth and baby spoon
I went chatty and personal
diving from couch to chair
on a sponge mop broomstick
the room remained a mess
but the leaps were longer
what but imagination is boundless
so he stamped and splashed singing
through the sewers of ideology
and carnival freaks with wings
made all my dynamos hum again
thanks to the exponential growth rate
of an adequate knowledge base
but then contemplating death
can make you crazy enough
to assassinate your biology instructor
and succumb to the lure of bland abjection
and an archaic tidal wave of pessimism
and the hedonist's morphological pedigree
a prized quality among the really sage
and their many colored appendages
we all know more than we let on
it's a conspiracy of noise and silence
attained through bribery and deceit
where substitutions screech and skid
where sugar cane machetes dance in the rain
and the Moon weeps with a broken heart
made me write on her blackboard 100 times
cognition is not possession
until his soul jumped out his eyeballs
caught trafficking in non-essentials
with its lures and scuffles
but then it is a nasty game
played by hungry cartoon caricatures
tricking children out of their food
where every day and night is Halloween
until the euphoric chameleons
in a herpes garden of delight
of decadence infantilism and sleep
whistle through their nose hairs
beauty is tenuous who is to protect her
awaken her choirs bloom her lilacs
and rainbow tresses and panting mamaries and
oh dear impale me dead where was I
the suction had his mind in a spin
with each gust of wind his forehead
began its evocative dans mort
don't try this at home kids
just kidding its OK to pantomime
ancient actors before their campfire
as you can well imagine

Spill the tea, tipped up spout, stirred
Friction mixes fiction into fructose
Whispers pull expectant ears close
Muffled message can barely be heard
Listen where truth and lies intertwine
Hot off the press, a hopscotch
Pebble thrown, trending watch
Manoeuvred over as squares 3- 6- 9
Folded inside last week’s newspaper
Transfer blur, ink bleed injury
Tear away band-aid gingerly
Atrocities reduced to peculiar caper
Shrine to memory melts fact, flimsy
Shadows spread black plague
Smokey mirror, images vague
Cloak and dagger funhouse whimsy
Pressed for truth, tea bags shrivel
Leaking last drips of drunk dribble

Enclosed Rhyme
Oh pretty pretty fruit cup
with all your pretty colors,
your fructose-rich flavors
ensnare all my druthers
Yellow is for peaches
and chunky pineapples
Opaque is for pears
And red is for the cherries
that nobody wants to share
Oh, I love to eat you with a spoon
You give me energy in late afternoon
You make my palate happy
I think I’ll eat another one of you
after I take a nappy
