You know how much I love you
I've told you many times
In many different formats
In music and in rhymes
The question never whether
The answer was I do
And that love will not sever
Until my days are through

Writing is my freedom

I don't expect many to understand my voiced words,
they are from my experience, journey, and lifetime.
I enjoy voicing somethings that were held deep inside
writing in ways, formats, rules, or decency just to release.
My tone and use of words are decided carefully for respect;
no matter what social media platform, you will be censored
with such subtlety without grace, due to others disagreement
which is not written for agreement, but one's own point of view.

Self expression seem as if it has to be accepted to be valid
I strongly disagree; knowing everyone experience is different.
Majority of individuals are programmed for the same experiences
even though the processing would be different emotionally.
We are born as expressive beings no matter your claim for religion,
culture, politics, planet, nation, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality; live.
Many focus on legacy, destiny, mission, or purpose; experiences molds the
path to reach those targeted goals. Words are a form of expression.

Don't keep things bottled up, express yourself through projects
of any kind you feel fit that best describe your freedom!

Attempts to defraud my
poetic values via
the varied poetic
formats

My eyes were drawn to a perfect one
yet 'Im' turned out as a mere prefix-
seeing my error, I was in need
of a third eye

I thought this was it
but it was another
mistake, so I tried
to correct it

But I created a
problem that I
tried to fix

But it turned
into a mess
and as all

lead, to
a trial

And in truth
on the stand
Bible in hand
I lied and on

Shades Of Winter

white flakes blow on air
leaving mists on window pane
like frozen gray smoke
while the ground shines in silver
and trees are capped in white

white lights hang at night
and Christmas trees glow in red ~
blue shuns every door

white Christmas spirit fills the air~
blue feelings loiter everywhere

Forms: tanka, haiku, monoku

*There's no winter season in our country so I used my imagination*
*I wrote this originally as entry in a contest, only to find out later that the formats I used did not fit the contest criteria. I share it anyway.*

Treasury of candles
imagined reawakening the exemplars who campaigns
their coalescing.

Prayer resurrecting
unkept promises that fault mistiness veils of affections
deeply confessed.

Sweetly progressed
a sinless tinkering of ifs and or buts, realizing an
overdue quietus.

Deja vu changes us,
with sweeping preparations from make-ups to do-overs and cuts to
that's a wrap.

Formats gap
of not to be awry and to prefer an alternate perspective as the
dreamer awakes.

Ducks and drakes
in the ability for the agile to skim and glide the distance o'er the calm and become a

Go-getter version

Beyond Compare

good morning

the entry below is a "goshi" format
before anyone makes a comment on the format
for all of us who have posted on various sites
know each site has their own definition guideline and rule
it should be universal but we all know it isn't
it escapes me from which site I found the format
more than one stanza would make it a goshi suite
just as a tanka suite or haiku and senyru suite

I would further like to say
I'm certain we have all joined in on the format challenges
writing an entry from a to z with every format
the two hardest for me will always be the chant royal and sonnet
for those of you who continuously write in the formats
blessings to you and you have my truest respect and admiration
thank you

with all this being said
here is my "goshi" format
one stanza with rhyming optional
and with no rule of meter or unmeter
I listed my entry under light verse poetry

"beyond compare"

have I told you the worth of your open arms
have I showed you my love and the all of it
not because of your smile or sparkling eyes
and not because we express dress to undress
with illumination you move me beyond compare

Premium MemberOn Poems I Cannot Understand

Poems come in all shapes and sizes
Forms and formats, types, and themes
Comes a question that invariably arises
What about mere consciousness streams?

Must all poems have rhythm and rhyme?
I’ve seen collections of words appearing
Which require inordinate study over time,
Never revealing any message endearing.

I asked the poet, “What does this mean?”
“What are you saying?” --worthy of space?
Precisely what is the lesson I can glean?
And the poet will tell me, to save face,

“A brand-new form, I call it ‘modernistic’”
Poetry, to be sure, but incredibly obscure
I would not hesitate to label it anachronistic,
For I’ve never seen anything like it before!

Premium MemberOn Authenticity

Requirements, or strictures, often stifle creativity
Thus, I tend to avoid forms with strict syllable count,
I appreciate a suggested topic, but I may not feel it,
And the message of any poem should be paramount.
Best expressed in the poet’s unique choice of phrases
Its origins are necessarily found in the poet’s psyche,
Blossoming with rhythm reads with robust originality
Prepared themes often cripple the poet’s authenticity.

The great poets of yesteryear allowed clear departures
Which accounts for the proliferation of poetry forms,
Today, our mutations of the long-accepted sonnets,
Variations on old French formats, are accepted norms.
So, none of the aforementioned are revealing secrets,
But giving credence to the diversity of poetic outlets.

Details About What We Are

What do we have here
It's the twenty-four impure hours
that precede this exact moment
in which we realize that the past day
once again had no qualities
and it was just and again
the amorphous happening of empty facts
repeating the constant tonic
of the previous countless hours
in which our accounting demonstrated
that is not only wild
but also cruel in the essence of its meaning
because the extract of everything is a gigantic nothing
that accumulated formats what we are:
the tasteless layers of recurring thoughts
the monotonous routine of deficient organisms
the outlandish bet on a losing run
the unnecessary accumulation of obsolete items
the incessant search for the essential but non-existent
logical sense to our incoherent lives.

Poetry soothes the hurting wounded soul
Opens up the broken heart, makes it whole.
Each line one reads bringing joy or pain
Touches the spirit like gentle rain,
Replenishes your yearning to write
Your verses and rhymes, your muse’s delight.

Sonnets, shapes, sijo, sestina, too
Our formats not limited...a few
Uplifting the depressed, take up the scroll
Poetry soothes the hurting, wounded soul.

Eternal Thoughts

My eternal thoughts only belongs to me, for what destiny is, only thoughts for what life is or was, only with thoughts for the life of what things can be for my thought to live for possibilities. The thoughts in mine, is the thoughts of the mind, life in a bind, only to find, for the thoughts that been processed along and thru time. For the way you must live, is the life on the hill, only to look down in life for what's real, only for mankind with a mind to just kill, military war in life the mind's real for thoughts only can heal, life over time to suffer to build, to only conceled, the process of thoughts, for how you live, for what you bought, only have brought, the thoughts for the formats of life. For only words clear my thoughts, but only eternal thoughts belongs to me, only way to see, is up in heaven with me, for the thoughts of today my enternal thoughts, will never be known only in my dieing day's.

Relative

Man isn't this scary?
"No" answered Larry, "Fee-fi-fo-fum"
Let the story begin,
how it has been carried out!
By men tied up in trees and cuff-links-
for those charmers in boxed formats,
the irony behind black cats and crawls,

Dogs chasing mice:
Cops losing disguises to hackers!...
The Aliens have landed,
Werewolves versus Martians:
Midnight party and all jamming;
Lights so bright, one might think they god!
Souls on the dance floor;
Giants as superior minors,
O that's funny goblins laughing-
at their masters! Junior leagues and no Caesar,
"Head knocks and bangs"!
heard by the clergy:
Roman men, denying proof-
but accepting written stories.

Greek gods forming manuscripts
"Lights, Camera and action"
The millennia: sculpted out of life and lessons,
forming liberty the finest colossal,
The great tool called art,
The architectural site and its complexity;
Marcus explained the theory of relativity,
But we all said, "that's Einstein's"...!
Marcus replied "exactly".
