The aging street mourns its faded splendor.
It remembers having red tulips and roses
in manicured, fertilized, emerald lawns
in community yards lining its borders.
But neighborhoods gradually decayed,
and nobody’s planted flowers in years.
The asphalt’s once-black fresh-tar patina
is now gray and chockfull of countless cracks.
In those rifts grow rows of feral weeds
that no person planted or wanted.
Rooted in forgotten fissures of the world,
weeds lift their hearts and heads toward the sky.
Survivors of severe environments,
baked by blazing sun, infrequently watered,
deprived of easy access to nourishing soil,
and squashed by droves of mutilating tires.
Yet, still the stalwart weeds survive,
paragons of beautiful resilience.
Glamorous, fragile flowers are transient.
Plain, ordinary weeds are forever.
For humans who feel our messy lives
are more like run-over weeds than roses,
weeds’ wild fortitude foreshadows
an unexpected, untamed eternity.

Fire
Anger burns in me when not satisfied
My blood rushes to my head
Unhappy, I light a fire deep down
I can’t extinguish what I create
Satisfaction is a necessity
I turn into an uncontrollable force
Furious I see flames
Which have no light but scorch
My eyes turn melancholiac
With the cinders left in me
I can’t distinguish between right and wrong
An uneasy dread creeps in and draws confusion
Weight arrives on my shoulders
I can never cool down from the anguish
That foreshadows me secretly
Curiosity fills itself around
Questions begin to unravel
There conspires the evil
Doubt mocks the innocent
Igniting the fire and flames

MYSTCAL MOONLIGHT
Intoxicating, breathtaking.
Silvery foreshadows of innocence
The birthplace of my poetry.
It's starlight, of tides and times.
Moonlight and God are spinning
The perfect poetic chrysalis,
Of dreams and peace.
As His existence always is.
Above the clouds He does not sleep.
But love and miracles does He keep.
Alas, to many, He is but a joke.
Lonely,ill and confused, they grumble,
Deaf to His help and eternal
whisperings,
The Creator of this universe and
our eternal King,

Sensuous allures float in pulchritude of white swan
Upon your lotus pond, arousing visions of romance
As I see you there where pink blossoms dance
And kiss your presence in ambiance of golden dawn.
Nary a cloud foreshadows my blue sky of tomorrow
As primrose emotions evoke blossoms of meadows;
In emerald green terrain, there are no dark shadows
For memories of yesteryear bear no hints of sorrow.
You entice ruby moods applauding crimson hues
Cheering for our love in chrysanthemum flowers,
Bright red tulips, soft pink roses, and spring rain showers
As ode of desires muses love-verses you schmooze.
And you sparkle gemstones from prisms of tinted dew
Igniting passions within whiffs of scented breeze
Caressing my wishes in embrace of seductive tease,
Instinctively aware: how these arms long to hold you!

The moon bears the brunt of a dying storm that
foreshadows lovers who once shone bright with promise.
Sea waves fold over their affections as their lives rush to shore
unfolding as their love unravels at the water’s edge.
Love may be ephemeral but can be recaptured they say
I will accept whatever morsel of affection you dole out
but you should know I love you now and will until forever
YOU AND ONLY YOU.
Oh, but that I could, I'd take us back to prolong
those close intimate moments we swore were eternal.
Moments we enjoyed and my lingering in your matted forest
basking in my good fortune, appreciating every second.
Not so long ago we made glorious memories
what a joy it would be to recapture them again
but time is cruel, my love, it keeps slipping away
and I can't make time heel and behave.
Lover's beginnings are full of hope
In the end withering with regrets
Love does make cowards of us all, my sweet one,
and feelings die like waves on the beach.
But go pursue your illusion of love elsewhere, my love
Leave me with my feelings naked, alone
and my love decimated with heart exposed
dying before my time.

TIMELY DISH
Vanilla creme and pearls - foreshadows sway.
Romantic candlelight, bliss-scented wish.
She twirls her necklace, perfume of salt spray.
Vanilla creme and pearls, foreshadows sway.
His rugged face, upturned, she makes his day.
He glances, helpless, at this timely dish.
Romantic candlelight, bliss-scented wish.
Vanilla creme and pearls, foreshadows sway.

My shadow to me is like
fragrance to the flower,
Moon to the sun,
Like the shade to the tree--
As it tells not what fruits it bears,
My shadow reflects not
the matters of my heart,
It foreshadows not
the dark side of my mind;
Tread not on my shadow
Nor shadow the whims
of my sly heart...
It will lead you astray!

Green is more than a color it’s true;
In viridescence there’s the promise
Of life springing anew,
Or maybe that’s found
In hues vibrant chartreuse.
Pea is the eyes of a jaundice and spite
It’s a virulent shade
Which foreshadows a fight
That’s driven by envy—
An emotional blight.
And once March is near
Let’s not forget Shamrock--
To the Irish it’s dear
For old countries remembrance,
They even color rivers and beer.
And the list could go with endless zeal
Shades of green with names
Like Moss, Mint and Teal.
Pear, Avocado, and Apple
Each have their own a-peel.

The sun has set upon the hills
The moonlight glares as my body
Awaits the embrace of dreams.
My mind wanders, my thoughts drift
A noise stirs in the silence,
The crash foreshadows more.
A scream—is it my mother?
A boom, more yelling too,
A thud, is that my brother?
The men invade my room
I follow them and do as I’m told,
Kill them, they say, and hand me a knife.
I feel the fear in my family’s eyes,
My chance for life rests in their destruction
I give into my captors’ demand,
Coating my hands in unwashable stains.
My leaders delight in my compliance,
The tallest one turns to me
He motions to leave.
I step into the cold night,
I’m alone and shaking, my eyes leak,
My masters join me; both grinning
The stinging in my head is a joy.

It foreshadows me, the night, the darkness
It falls upon me to whisper some words
They are faint poretentous words
What may they mean, those words
"the darkness will be your fall"
What may they mean?
A dark figure falls upon the alley
Infront of me is darkness and eyes
A gunshot is heard and pain writhing
It forshadows me, the night, the darkness
It foreshadows my death
