Focus

a ray of hope

stings the tale

feathers the tar of life

to grow once more

no illusion without sunshine

a prism abandoned

broken mirror of

headlights in a tunnel

canary breathing afresh

in the mines of her mind

the curtain opens again

for a round of applause

as new dawn avails

spheres of transient change

her spotlight beams

bounces its focus

examines doubts of darkness

with a critical lens

foreshadows dew drops

melts the poet

emotes waning blindness

moulds acceptance of dusk

narrates the core

performance art from the heart

a spectral kaleidoscope

with realms of intent

Loved your poem! You see many angles and arrays of movement in a kaleidoscope, but the real deal is the amount of time it takes to focus in on what's important in life before it passes you by!!

Thanks Karen. A lot of time and effort and eventually matters flow on their own, 'even if they don't'. Kind wishes to you, Kai
