With ACME’s ludicrous gadgets galore, in the desert Wile E. Coyote plots
Builds rockets and traps that his nemesis, the Roadrunner, inevitably spots.
*“Beep! Beep!” Road Runner zips past with a dare, and with a tumble and crash
Wile onto the desert does splat; undaunted, he sends ACME more cash.

Save vanishing species

The save vanishing species USPS stamp -

Hillborn river, gentle Amur flows east
Embracing enroute a score of besties
Enriching diverse lives, some so unique
She sways towards the ocean Pacific

Warm orange bright Siberian tigers
Left in cold, threatened, dispossessed drifters
Settle along serene flowing Amur
Takes her name, huddle along her, survive

Sad eyes with Blake's immortal symmetry
An Amur cub stamped on clear envelope
Stares at cruel human eyes with pity
Asks for mercy, for marked territory

Divine Fantasy Toward Reality

Awesome imagination midst freedom delight
Blooms along my dream of divine light      
Creatively ruled by wisdom’s insight
Directing me toward heavenly flight
Enthralled by fantasy venture flight
Featuring faith’s reverie of wondrous sight
Grandeur and perfection, devoid of whimsy blight
Hoisting up hope, defying hallucination plight
Inspired upon radiating illumination might
Jubilantly revealing reality of truth and right
Kindness of the King Almighty beaming day and night
Love so great magnified yon visualization height.

Santorini

Santorini, a stand out beauty, a splendor in the sea, a semicircular
Cycladic island in the Southern Aegean Sea with dramatic caldera
landscape so unique, crescent shaped, offering breathtaking views. 
The famous whitewashed homes, structures with some featuring
glowing blue domes, cliffs falling into the blue crystal clear waters
of Aegean Sea, spectacular sunsets of dazzling kaleidoscope of colors.
Sadly, located at a fault zone with tectonic activity causing tremors.

 he didn’t like city buses spouting black smoke,
 park benches overtaken by pigeons,
 or towns with straight, one-way streets.
 
 he didn’t care for department stores featuring girls
 with plastic smiles
 or big-nosed politicians smoking short, fat cigars. 

 he was raised in the south
 and chewed words longer than originally intended.
 
 he didn’t like lemons
 or the purple bowl in the window of the hardware store.
 
 monday through friday was sufficient
 and then the weekend came—
 complete with the quiet of silence. 

 he could hear the void in his heart
 like a glass of undisturbed water…
 or the sound of the sun rising in the east.
 
 barren and hushed—
 the purple bowl in the window reminded him of his life—
 yet he could not hear the melody of the carnival.
 
 sometimes he dreamed of squeezing yellow lemons
 into the purple bowl but that would be fruitless;
 
 the bowl was hollow, the lemons bitter…just like tomorrow.

For the stories which

Make up knowing and doing..

For the most part 

Few arguments are posed

To threaten these assumptions

And an argument would 

Be another story featuring

Time and space..

Words seem to map what

We know and can know

A prison of words..

However..there may be

Another story never told...

Nature
Is the totality
Featuring life and death
As peeks of sameness...

One For Mulder and Scully

Dazzling, synthetic lights emanate from polished silver,
Penetrating my deep, chemically induced sleep. 
Blinking sensitive eyes, I raise my swirling head.
 I sit up and walk into a corridor of glass display cases.
  

Rustic farm tools, mannequins wearing clothing from the past and present fashions, pottery from long ago…
A collection of some kind, featuring timeless treasures and ordinary items of little to no monetary value. 

A discombobulated hoard of flea market finds? 
I came to another display difficult to make sense of…another display of mannequins except these wore no clothing and floated in some viscous liquid. 

A chill went up my spine and I knew not why until…one opened their eyes and looked at me!
I awaken. Bright sunlight streams into my bedroom windows. I recall everything in a moment of time. 

Sitting up, pain and horror, a poisonous flower blossom opening red petals in my mind…
 A nightmare or mad illusion? I see nothing but my   room, and hear nothing now but… 
… silence.

OLD MOVIES

I’m almost embarrassed to admit
A feeling deep down in my gut
Some may identify as patriotism
Now considered to be old school
From an old black and white film
Featuring events before I was born
Yet somehow, they still resonate
Perhaps it is now that certain age 
When one’s memory is to the fore
Having much greater significance
To me than back then, I suppose
It could just be the music, I guess
But also, those blurry street scenes
That seems as if it was all my own
Cars I owned, and much less bustle
Styles of course, and all those hats
Younger viewers just seeing history
Impersonal, and almost a fantasy
As they will merely nod and smile
But it’s just a movie, and artificial
Taking me back to then and there
But, do I really need to apologise
Because it is and was, my world

Rocky and Bullwinkle Show

One of my favorite shows as a child 
Was the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.

Featuring Rocky the squirrel.
Bulwinkle the Moose
And associated bad guys.

Including Boris Badnioff
And Natasha Fatale
Vaguely Eastern European communists.

Rocky and Bullwinkle 
Like the Simpsons, Futurama, 
American Dad and Family Guy

Were children’s show
They were also quite subversive 
Satire on modern life.

But Bulwinkle remains my favorite
Years ago I binged watched episodes

And remember every episode 
Even though I had last seen them
Almost 50 years before.
