Hush, Be Quiet

Hush, be quiet you old familiar voice of negativity.
The one that is full of doubt, fault finding and self
     sabatoge.
There is no mercy, no kindness or love in you, only
     dislike and distrust.
Complete silence of the mind is much better than your noise.
But sometimes the future unknown, is more fearful
   than the known misery.
However just when the loud voice of poison vents
to almost drown out any future hope, it happens.
A flicker of light, from small twigs of long ago
embers restores memories of a different voice.
A voice not beat up by accounts of life's failures,
  loses, disappointments and deaths.
It holds out tender love, forgiveness and a balanced
reality in learning to express a new voice.
This voice will nurtue the one carrying it and
those it meets on the journey of life .

ME
Me: By Oladeji aka Vicki Acquah

Because I am only
ONE of my Kind.
And refuse
to Abort my mission..I ask..
Could I have been a little more
religious
patient
tolerant
willing
agreeable
softer
sweeter
easier
diplomatic
could I have gone along to get along,
be a softer place for hard asses to land.
Could I have been a little less
Difficult
Opinionated
forgiving
fault finding
expressive
extreme
Blunt
Truthful
Yes... I could have...
But then where would that leave you?
That would not have been me,
And as you can see
There's enough of them
Carbon Copies....
....And they are not changing a damn-thing.
And then there's me...

Six Things Satan Did To Get the Boot Out of the High Place

1. When Satan was an Angel:

He discovered fault finding easy in the Heavenly Society.

No reason to put forth an effort to improve,

    Just dis.

2. When the Sky-Boss wasn't around

He would slip memos to hes fellow workers,

    "There is no union,

Nothing to coordinate the wants of the Winged Servants.

3. He claimed the Heavenly Chorus sang off key:

And sounded like it was suffering

From a case of group herpes.

4. He reminded everyone:

    As often as possible,

That the Holy He created women as a lesser species,

:After all, Eve did come along as a side issue."

5. Wherever God asked,

    "Are you working?"

Mr. D. would always answer in the affirmative,

Gut, his task was too often centered on group diffusion.

6. The final straw in his disposition:

Occurred after he had constantly complained to the Almighty

That the thermostat was set too low,

"I can't stand the cold up here! Why don't you do something about it!:

Our Creator

WHY ARE YOU CRYING?
WHY AREN'T YOU MOVING?
WHERE IS THE POWER THAT I GAVE YOU?
WHY ARE YOU NOT CHOOSING?
WHY ARE YOU NOT WINNING?
WHY ARE YOU LOSING?
WHY ARE YOU COMPARING,WHEN I MADE YOU JUST RIGHT?
WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE LIGHT,AND SETTLE FOR DARK NIGHTS?
WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING AND FAULT FINDING?
WHY ARE YOU LIVING UNDERNEATH THIS ROCK,WHEN YOU CAN BE ROCK CLIMBING??
WHERE IS THE LOVE I TOLD YOU TO RELEASE AND GIVE?
WHY AREN'T YOU LIVING THE BEST LIFE
THAT I DIED FOR YOU TO LIVE?
WHY EXACTLY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH ABOUT OTHER'S OPINIONS?
WHEN I GAVE YOU POWER OF CHOICE I WAS GIVING YOU DOMININON
WHY DO YOU READ THIS AND DON'T ALLOW IT TO TAKE ROOT?
HOW CAN YOU FIX A TOOTHACHE
BY ONLY FOCUSING ON THE SURFACE OF THE TOOTH?
WHY DON'T YOU STOP WORRYING;
AND JUST SURRENDER TO ME?
WHY DON'T YOU LET GO OF YOUR PAST SELF
AND JUST BECOME WHO YOU SHALL BE?

Premium MemberTwenty Percent

If I had a sad broken heart
Not because you died dear
But that you chose another bride
Who's so limited I fear

She posseses only twenty
Percent and I eighty
Chosen in my youth gifted blessed
God prepared me for thee

Now that I'm aged unable to work
Not able to serve you
You seek a twenty percent girl
Unintelligent shrew

Wish you well in your endeavor
You're getting just desserts
Twenty percent's offerings small
So small just miniskirt

This one is based on 80/20 principle
This is not an original idea
I heard it in a sermon by T.D.Jakes
When a person marries, gets a new job,
or a new home, etc.., everything is great.
Then the new wears off and fault finding
begins..Nothing is a hundred percent
usually about twenty percent imperfections..

The nagging,
The pushing,
The constant prodding.

You try,
You work,
You make headway,

But it's ignored,
It's not enough,
It's never enough.

You become bitter,
You're angry,
You become morose.

Your will is strong,
You've done your best,
You're clearing hurdles,

But you aren't fast enough,
You aren't strong enough,
YOU are not enough.

The nagging is back,
The fault finding is back,
The blaming is back.

The berating,
The name calling,
Pushing you to the edge.

You won't break,
You refuse to break,
You lash out,

You scream,
You cry,
You fight back.

He stares at you,
He says there's something wrong with you.
You're insane.

You're crazy alright. Crazy to stay in that mud bath.

Animal People

The welfare advocates
pick on human frailty,
comparing
sending children to orphanages
 to sheltering kittens.

They wonder about our
inherent bad-ness,
go fault finding and
interpret themselves above the pale,
flesh-eating disease that attacks
their selfsame skin, and
cannot feel it burning away to hate.

Your affection spreads infection:
Love kills.

I think I may have cancer.
Well, ain’t life just a *****!
