Father

The most amazing thing about this man,
Is what most of you can't see,
As I stand before his casket and,
Play back every memory...
Thru the tears that gather in my eyes,
That will try and find my cheek,
I can see his spirit pass me by,
In the ones I choose to keep...
You know a father is what we all have ,
By a birth and given right,
But when another man accepts this task,
It's a love you're given twice...
To replace the one you never had,
Or stand by the one you have,
Just in case the one that you called dad,
Isn't near to hear your laugh...
But I know he's in a better place,
So I thanks the Lord above,
For allowing me to see his face,
Through my fathers lasting love...

As my tears roll down my cheeks, i
see all the times u roughened me
up; realizing forgiveness is more
than jus words we speak, so i try to
toughen up.
As i write my middle name, i hear ya
voice; i finally understand u loved
me jus not more than the game, but
jus like me He gives us all a choice.
As i think bout my childhood, i used
to see all the bad; but God used it
for the good, n I'm no longer sad.
As i look up at the sky, i let go all
hurt anger n pain; i no longer
wonder why, but instead i except
that i do Love You n this time I'm
not saying it in vain!

Oh My Daddy

One day I realized a potter, who nurtured me with a slight jack,

And I found a jotter, which was plain some years back,

Now I felt why he hates the flying kites,

Why he stopped me trying bikes,

Why I fought to get a ride,

Why I brought to play at sight,

Everything is so clear now,

Why so lately have I vision to see a dhow,

One day I found a shade, that was bigger than I ever had,

And I felt it is on me since my birth, It bind me like a girth,

Now I felt why I am stable still,

Who always check me to be an istle,

This is not a mystery to be said,

This is a history to be made,

This is not my sorrow not my guilt,

Oh my dad you make me built,

I am far but I can feel how you love me always to heal,

Oh my daddy I was a fool, I will ever be your lovely pool,

I never let you lose your meld; I never allow my love to mend, .

Simple Mottoes For Life

-

My Father used to say:

A shot to the mouth often offends

also

You can lead me by a silk but dont drive me with a stick

also only many issues e.g.

Don't say you worked down the coal mines for 27 years
when you had 25 years off in the middle.

also

Nothings bad that could that could not be worse

also

They'll eat them dry next time.

You, My Father

All those memorable times
When your masterful insight was all I needed
To get me back on track;
Vicariously using your lessons,
Making them my own.
They made you my father.
All those teachings
That made me me;
That showed me the right way to treat others.
To stand up and defend the defenseless.
To lend my strength to those who need it.
Never to hide my thoughts;
To speak plainly and with conviction.
These made you my father.
Your voice, your face, your ideas;
These you freely gave.
Anything I accomplish, every last moment
Is yours;
I bow my head to you in praise.
You, my father.

My Best Friend

Today, I want to tell you something dad,
Which makes me feel very glad!
You are my best friend,
On whom I can always depend.
I remember,
The times we have spent together.
Talking and arguing,
Laughing and fighting,
Singing and dancing,
Reading and cracking jokes,
Also teasing our folks.
Commenting on new advertisement,
Was our favourite form of entertainment.
Sometimes we would watch weird movies,
And enjoy trying new pastries at Monginis.
You were and are a wonderful cashier,
Who always supported me in studies and career.
You have faced a lot of trouble,
To make me independent and able.
I am proud to be your daughter,
And I know I can never return your favour.
Today I understood,
Since I am in this phase of motherhood,
How my husband takes care of me,
Actually, indirectly for his child to be.

Like me, my child will also be fortunate,
To have you as grandfather is something very great.
I sincerely pray my wish comes true,
That my husband should also become a ‘father’ like you!

Father's Day

violet pansies with silly faces
ask me about truth
it's Sunday morning and old hurts
return to kick me in the guts and i'm
already down for the count

when your father is dead there's nothing
but silence between you and his grave
absence has sixty-four scorpion stings,
but you keep
on walking

my children will always remind you that
Father's Day is not about men with selfish
inclinations, it's about a mother's child,
loving you with their always-children hearts--

love that chains melodies of forgiveness
to little heels that will never crush you.

Father, where are you?
Please come dry my tears
There is no one to hear me
And erase all my fears.

Father, where are you?
It's been far too long
That your arms held me
Tightly,safely,and strong

Father, where are you?
When I turn off the light
Can you tuck me into bed
And kiss me good night.

Father,where are you?
I held your photo today
And hoped your smile
Would brighten my day

Father, where are you?
Did you hear me today?
As I whispered your name
And wept from the pain

Father, where are you?
I hope you found joy
In Gods home in heaven
with Mom and the Lord.

Father, Where are you?
Are you watching me write?
Are you filled with pride
As I kiss my kids goodnight?

Father, Where are you?
I've been very blessed
My husband is a good man
And our children are the best

Father, where are you?
I just want you to see
The wonderful foundation
That you helped build for me

Father, where are you?
I want to know that you know
You are with me every moment
And with me everywhere I go.

Father, where are you?
You are in my kids faces,
And in love that we share.
Every day I feel you so near.

I Love you Dad.

Dad

Our relationship is like a great treasure,
Listening to me so patiently is your best feature,
Your company gives me immense pleasure,
How happy I become no one can measure!

You’re a stress reliever,
I get new hopes and life becomes even brighter,
Our stupid talks fill the air with laughter,
How fortunate I feel to be your darling daughter!

Daddy

You always inspire,
To get the things I desire.
You support me to struggle,
Whenever I am in trouble.
You always have time,
To listen to thoughts of mine.
You taught me not to shed a tear,
When I was in fear.
You always showered love selflessly,
And gave me things endlessly,
How do I thank Almighty?
To bless me as your child, ‘Daddy!’

Baba - Dad

You made me feel like a Princess
Fulfilling my stupid wishes...
From my baby steps to my big success
I found you standing with me always...
I slept on your lap every night
Urging you to hold me tight...
On every mistake you scolded me
But the next moment......
You shower your love on me...
While chasing my dreams you never let me go astray
Like a guiding star you showed me the way...
Every child mumble first word as "Maa"
I am the only one who uttered " Baba"
I am proud to be your daughter
Yeah!!! Its true you are world's Best father

To Be There

To be a father is to be there
as you've always been for me
You were there when I fell
 to pick me up
You were there when I got a little
 too sure of myself
 to keep me grounded
You were there when I won
 to cheer me on
You were there when I lost
 to keep me going
Your care and support throughout the years
 has been unlimited
and has certainly not gone unnoticed
I am reminded every day
 through my own actions
that I learned from you what it means
to be a kind and loving person

Thank you for always being there

A Letter To Dad In Heaven

How are things in ‘heaven’?
    Is it like they say?
Is it awesomely wonderful?
If I were to imagine, would it blow me away’?

Do you remember...the old rope swing you made for me?
You pushed me to the sky,
The fishing pole you bought for me
      The trout stream...you and I?

Do you remember… special times, like Christmas?
    Family dinners we’d enjoy
Chicken & noodles…your favorite
    Topped off with blueberry pie

I feel you driving for me,
    When roads are snowy cold
I feel you reassuring me,
As I know I’m growing old

When I ache from missing you,
I think of where you are
It’s then your comfort calms me,
I know you are not far

I feel your watchful presence,
    Tending to your kin
One day we’ll be together,
    To love and live again

All I Ever Wanted

All I ever wanted,
was to be loved by you.
Whenever I had a problem. .
just knowing that you were here,
always got me through.

When I was younger,
it never bothered me that I didn't
have some things that the other kids had;
because I had something that they didn't . .
I got to have you for a dad.

Since I've had time to think,
I suppose you loved me from the start.
After all, I was the baby you had chosen,
and had welcomed into your heart.

Life Without My Hero

Imagine for one moment
That nothing could go wrong
Everything so perfect
Family ties so strong

That’s when it shreds you
From inwards way out
Happiness is your weakness
Doom will find you, no doubt

It will outcast your loved ones
As quick as a “how are ya, hi”
Strike, their out, so quickly
You don’t even get to say goodbye

Then the question lingers
In a swelling part of your brain
“Is my life worth living…
Without them helping me refrain?”

He promised me a promise
He would protect me all my life
Well now he’s gone, and left me.
Go ahead, and unsheathe your knife.

I have to endure life without him now
My Dad, My Superman
If only he knew the pain I’m suffering
He would hold my small face in his big hand

OH Dad, I need that nurture,
Some thoughts I must exclude
Suppress the darkness where I’ve been
For, I can’t stand it without you
