I met a fallen angel on a bus ride to L.A.
At first he demurred, having little to say

After a while he loosened up a bit
spinning tales full of heavenly wit

I was bold to inquire, “Do angels play the lyre?”
“Oh no,” came the reply. “We don’t even fib, sire.”

Premium Member All the reasons why

Everyone has a place they are coming from
Don't goad the horse when it won't run.
I detect sorrow in your eyes
Because there were no alibis.

(chorus)
All the reasons why
You gave it your last try
The only way to forgive yourself
is to take the past off the shelf
It's worthwhile when you pause
Trace the roots, trace the cause
Find a peace under God's sky:
When you know the reasons why.

Our mind is a spectator, but we're also on the stage
We adlib the lines, when we can't find the page.
There's a gap between who we are and who we wish to be.
Who we are is how we deal with that discrepancy.

Some blame others for that gap
Some blame it on fortunes mishap
Some say they meant it all along
Convince themselves there's nothing wrong.

You can replay the movie in your mind
Facing facts can feel unkind
Still, tracing causes breaks the chain,
So you won't show that side again.

All the reasons why,
The thoughts we hide, the truths we deny.
And if your heart can heal again,
It starts with seeing where it’s been.
We’re all just travelers on our own
Kicking ourselves for what we should have known.
At least we have to try.
To find out the reasons why.

Fallen angel

You were laughter in the morning sun,
A gentle warmth when the day begun.
Your hands gave comfort, your heart gave grace,
A light of love no one could replace.
Through storms and shadows, you held me near,
A voice of calm, a soul sincere.
You forgave the faults of those who strayed,
And showed the lost the gentlest way.
The world grew dim when you were gone,
Yet in my heart, your spirit shone.
A fallen angel, yet still you gleam,
Guiding my steps through every dream.
Though I cannot touch your face,
I feel your love in every space.
The brightest star, my heart’s refrain,
Your memory turns my grief to gain.
You gave me wings, though you took flight,
A guardian angel in endless night.
Fallen you are, but rise you still,
Forever in my heart, your light will fill.

   outcast
            faith deficient
falls out of heaven
            crashes with thunderous thud;
grounded
             broken wings
mocked by Icarus
             a just fate

Fallen Angel

Why did a cauldron of bedeviled bats fly right
into the grim windows splattering their blood
on the shards of glass strewn all over the floor…
What drove them to their gruesome death?
These nocturnal creatures that can navigate
a labyrinth of caves skillfully.
I leaned ruefully against the darkened wall
of this abandoned house, pondering;
Alas, if only these broken windows can
tell the tale of that foreboding night.

Ensnared, entangled, entrapped, entwined by life…
Venturing to escape is to embrace death!
Hugging the shadows of incarceration I wait
for the light of liberating death to shine upon me
and wrap me in its ethereal grace.
Cast out of Paradise, and a stranger in the mortal world,
I am cursed with an angelic beauty
like a rose blooming in the desert only to wither
in its scorching heat—unnoticed, unsung!
Like a fallen warrior seeking deliverance
like a wayward soul seeking salvation,
Unable to reconcile with either world.

Fallen Angel

Too many Worlds collide when
(street echoes)
Too many dancers appear
yet she moves fair to show
Shes just a fallen Angel
with a certain spark
Too many people have
tried to change her
Shes not a Saint Joan
they have failed
Shes tries to keep the moment flowing
for the man who would be King
She likes to go too far
Don't blame her for turning out the night
The wound is for real

The Fallen Angel

In my dream, I saw an angel, Whose smile lit up the room. As the figure walked toward me, I noticed a dagger embedded in its chest, slowly bleeding.

The angel began to cry in pain, And the suffering grew worse. Blood flooded the scene, As the angel's cries turned into desperate screams.

The pain was so unbearable, The angel didn't know what to do.

It wept uncontrollably, Tearing at its own face and clawing at its skin, blood covering its once-pure form.

Slowly, the angel began to transform, Its radiant features fading into something dark and sinister. An evil presence emerged from the torture, As the angel's innocence was consumed by the agony.

While staring at the manger.
Cat decided to summit the Christmas tree.
Corkscrewing around a string of red lights.
Chewing some tinsel on the way up.
Eyes as big as antique ornaments.
Clawing her way up to the summit.
Replacing a fallen angel.
That night, the cat snuggled on my lap
as if nothing ever happened.
Cat had the best day of her life.

Fallen Angel

When you lost your faith
You will fight with Him; become
A fallen angel.

Fallen Angel

Fallen angel, fallen from grace
Fell from the touch of his embrace
He's left to stray, he's left to roam
When will he find his way back home

Scourge in silence, in dark of night
He shuns the gleam of glowing light
The pointed tongue, its piercing blade
Howls hard to wish his glow to fade

Fallen

I fell from the sky.
   A bird with broken wings,
   Who can’t fly.
   Humans are my prey,
   In them, I hide.
Steal their souls when they die.

I don’t care if they are rich or poor.
I know they always asked for more.
And I love to fulfill their desires,
To become addicts, politicians, or deceptive liars.

   My gifts are free.
All you have to do is asked me.
And in return, I asked only one favor.
To make me a resident in your house,
I don’t care to sleep on your couch.

From here I have a perfect view.
While I watch how you deceived,
   Exploit, betrayed, and abuse,
   Your friends, family, and spouse.

And when my work is done,
I will find a new home.
   Where I will be welcome.

Hell

Demon screams
Shadow of darkness
Thirst adrift
It's endless madness
Dead agony
Drowns his cries
It's brutal laughter
With suffering eyes
Slavery of hell
He is bound
This to be his rooted ground
This rotten demon
Confined to his existence
Bones and blood
Roots and stones
Fill his veins of burning blackness
His silence trickles
Alone his sorrow
His haunting thoughts
Evil exists
His venom
Forever sick
Your suffering soul
Death won't be quick.

Morals of a Fallen Angel, Divine

If done the shackles, fated to be,
If dusted the fates, bound to thee,
Past them, gleaned, prayers to see,
If downed, glorious, of the, fleeing me,
If pained, glamorous, with the hand plea,
And if gleeful, generous, to up and agree,
That if dated to be the fates, be it and free,
Self from creases and folds of the world as is.

If minding, the spirit of the blinds, then,
Slowly surging, the viciousness from them,
If shaken by the surge, the energy from men,
Stricken down to a point zero, if timed again,
To the core, if goggled and gazed at, till when,
Up and home, and finding strength in them gone,
And scripted, as morals of a fallen angel, divine.

If shrugged, the sanity, severed in the winds,
Find truce, safest in the sacred caches within,
If foregoing, settled, and forfeited the destined,
Find peace, truest to ties and as heavenly ordained.

Everything you've loved before
Disappears like those wings of yours
The feathers you always believed helped you soar
Fall away through a cloud which pours.

Everyone you thought you knew
Move on cause they've all long replaced you
Not even memories matter, for they're nothing new
Slowly truth seeps into your wounds so blue.

Everything you've loved before
Betrays you like dreams with how they come & go.
Those angels you thought helped you soar
Show their true natures you hoped you'd never know.

Everything you ever have been and are
Simple as bright & glowing
Like a shooting star that has come so far.
You see now, it was never them, it was just you shining.
