*******************
the light shines in the eye of the whirlwind
whipping vanilla meringue through the clouds
swinging, the swamp lawn shoots over the shore
casting an apricot glow from the shrouds
butterscotch hues lace the periwinkle sky
peach, tangerine, and lavender stripes, too
caramel waves ripple across the lakebed
illuminating the lemon in the zircon view
In lush glades on a cypress-lined isle
pink flamingos find shelter by the trees
blue herons weave twig nests in the boughs
swaying in the warm, tropical-scented breeze
as dusk draws the brightness down to the horizon
Mother Earth downpours on the cornflowers
nourishing buttercups, milkweed, and daisies
while people describe the sprinklers as April showers
August holds its breath
humidity stills the leaves
as July explodes

Hawaii Explodes
A calendar marking succeeds
Absence time textures
Epic life, episodic love, eulogized loss
Enigma nailed to vacancy
The urbane explodes
Hark ambitions, "Carpe Diem"
2023 January 01
Your love explodes in me
your touch lights the fuse
together our hearts fly free
your love explodes in me
tomorrow our love will see
our affair will never lose
your love explodes in me
your touch lights the fuse
Ghoul exploded from his coffin with an enormous boom.
Two virtual students caught the sight on Zoom.
It was weird that this knave escaped his dank grave.
Dead in a cave, but now an internet fave.
But who would hire this ghostly flier?
Lincolnshire Illinois fears a dead vampire.
Which expert knows the most about hiring a ghost?
The Zoom host did, but he hated to boast.
What about Mad Mummy who plays wicked rummy?
Her teeth are gummy, but she is no dummy.
Ghoul got bored and climbed back into his grave.
A wet tomb now. Still, his personal fave.
he hungered
a fierce fervor.
slowly
an arousal
rise of her sunshine.
enraptured
by dim
flitter of
bister
untamed eyes.
a wan breath
briefly abandoned
by the vision and taste
of
a single being.

Listen your way out of the problem,
when language goes awry
Each word that’s heard, a fuse unlit,
whose primer never lies
To think the pieces wholly,
as new structure comes in view
With time and space in servitude
—your voice explodes anew
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2019)
Her eyes were on fire,
she saw in the shadows
her love with someone else,
their bodies naked in the night
glorious, glowing, entwined
loving in secret together.
Her wrath grew in thunderous
clouds, black pitch black...
lightning blazing blue
the sky explodes
into tears blinded
unable to see
the moon ever again.
Three neighbors litter on our street
buzzing along as I stroll past their gates;
and they jiggle like vicious wasps
while a silent howl drills on my head.
Yeah…all that drama, women of farce,
greeting me coyly with pretentious smiles…
I hear them cussing behind my back
those verbal bacteria infecting my night.
So why not face me , confront your self-disgust
thrown at my now distorted eye-to-eye stare?
Maggots! Low-life drones who thrive
on cheap thrills weaving vile intrigues
just to get some flipped attention…
I close my eyes for a moment to grab
some air, but the noise yells without restraint.
Well, it’s my time to get back ,after I let a blade
of screech hit the asphalt ground.
Under a reddened sky, a fuse explodes,
“Hey, get off my cloud or you all will be squashed!”

Earth Shimmers, Life Explodes
Calming clouds float into my dream
fish flop happily onto my grill
Ducks quacking loudly taking to wing
Nature yawns and begins it's daily thrill
Forest fights the coming mist
night owls hourly call
Flowers groan and silently twist
woodpeckers hear it all
Cool streams flow on wet earth
bees gather for all they are worth
Snakes slither into the weeds
earth's beauty serves man's greater needs
Night sky glows like a hot candle
treasures, more than one man can handle
Moon sheds it's glittering skin
life explodes in the heart of men
Earth shimmers dancing in perfect time
poets sing rejoicing deeply in rhyme...........

Looking out our bay window at this glorious night. Wife enters, sweet kisses me good night.
Inspiration suddenly strikes!!!
A joy to be so very alive....
Propaganda and force fed lies
The controlled governments blind our eyes
Watching as societies corrode
Warring and hating my mind implodes
You tell us it’s all for peace
All I see is nations built on war after war
If my blood ran red
They would leave me for dead
A world that spends more to kill than cure
Creating something so impure
I’d like to believe someone could take their hands across the lands
Create peace and unity, respect and loyalty
So what’s our option but to watch our world explode?
And do our own small good from our humble home
heart swells and explodes
with love
but then i fall
its chaos and death from above
