The libido falls -
Like many of the great walls -
As performance stalls.
The rain drops sporadically
hitting every pain of glass
till all is wet to touch
the rain pours down deeply now
splattering up on the grass
till it's too much
the rain runs a steady stream along the driveway crease washing away the leaves of winter's past
filling the drain
A man
with excess of money
IS not exactly lucky...
But a wretch of fortune !
Or hazard...
with enormous aplomb
to agony and unhappiness...!
He set no limit to his ‘always’,
His ‘never’ was strewn all over ways,
Man of excess he was,
To blow up, his pet cause,
For molehills, mount of price he now pays.

something must be wrong...
Never deviate from you goal my dear
Always pursue it with maximum cheer
Concentrate showing fullest attention
Give not room for possible diversion
Only by chasing your goal you can win
Your hope and faith must not be thin
Let your mind be filled with determination
All fears and doubts must get elimination
Progress must be your golden principle
Scope for optimism alone is really ample
Chase the goal and try to do the best
Work hard taking the required rest
Just by dreaming we can never excel
Often we must perform a rehearsal
Only by practice we stand to gain
We must toil by bearing severe pain
We must not put a limit to our ambition
Our approach must be full of fore vision
Think, plan, act and realize your goal

of yesterday's anger
and the events
that triggered it
have softened
with the night.
As far as the
excess baggage
is concerned,
I refuse to carry it
into tomorrow;
it only weighs me down.

A rich man gathering much from his land
decided to build more barns very grand.
“I have plenty of stuff,
indeed more than enough.
My wine vats and my barns are now crammed.
“I'll make merry in all this splendour.”
“You fool, now your life you'll surrender,
what then of your excess?
just who will it impress?”
Said God, “without a generous agenda.”
Luke 12.16-21
It can't have been the scallops
Or the rump of Islay lamb,
Washed down with white Rioja
Followed by sweet meringue.
It wasn't the skate au poivre
Or smoked salmon canapes
Nor garlic stuffed green olives
Or the double chocolate glaze.
The ruby red barolo
Is surely not to blame
(It was so very very good,
We had some more of the same).
The piquant piccalilli
That came with the ham terrine
Was absolutely to die for,
In French, "Cuisine Sublime".
The roasted veg in garlic,
The rich redcurrant sauce,
All perfectly delicious -
And then we passed the port.
Replete, we left the table
Of coffee to partake,
With a couple of Glenlivets
To sup for old times' sake.
A perfect evening, then off to bed
To dream of happy days.
'Twas not to be, a sudden waking
With a screeching shout of pain,
The hounds of hell were gnawing
At a foot now sore inflamed
And throbbing, throbbing, throbbing,
In purgatory now moaning,
In agony exclaiming,as,
Tormented, he writhes about,
"Must be a change in the weather
Has caused this devilish gout !"
