Premium Member Ever Changing Sky

Here
peaceful
together
we’ll share sunsets;
Ever changing sky
we relish the seasons,
each one of a kind color;
Now sparkling with the sunrise,
home.

This Ever Changing River

The Ohio wipes its face every few miles.
A bend in the river
forgets the wharfs, the gravel silos
and power plants,
only occasional coal barges
push an industrial past before them.

Here cattails gather herons
into measured dominions.
The river gallops under placid waves,
fish-eyed currents dip and toggle
in the ripple.

It is possible to watch yourself
in this new bend in the stream,
possible to wash your face
anew also -

there to see your own rivering.

Ever Changing Mind

The wind sweeps my soft soul away
A prayer and a kiss couldn’t prepare me to stay.
My silence impedes so loudly, with no end.
A lifetime of making amends could be my only friend.
A fault and a flaw are the results of my ever changing mind,
To live sensibly, leaving my troublesome wits behind.
I will pick the scarlet roses in the garden at sunrise,
Bury them in my soul while the coldness in me dies

Ever Changing Soul

I would hallucinate instead of slumber.

Because this tiredness is churning in me, more than I remember.

I am entering a sleepless cycle.

Each night turns more fickle.

I tried to wait for the crisis to end.

Each day I would have to sacrifice a piece of hope so that the world would not upend.

It is like I am creating new problems that I am unable to control.

To survive, I must be an ever changing soul.

Ever Changing

Music can only be heard one way,
words have a different refrain

Melody imprisoned by note and score,
what’s written when read apt to change

The ear a prisoner to the composer’s delight,
to listen—a captive within

But reading the lines that a poet inscribes
ever changing—each time you begin

Premium Member Ever-Changing Fall

"And all the lives we ever lived and all the lives to be are full of trees and changing leaves..." - Virginia Woolf

When sun grows stingy in the sky
melancholy wilts happy flowers

summer’s long days will be fading away
when trees announce fall’s coming
in their brightest attire

Gold and Crimson waltz
in autumn’s cooling breezes.
Pumpkins wear strange grins!
Summer’s obituary
by this time has been planted.

when rivers and lakes
solidify into ice . . .
december skates in

Premium Member Weather Ever Changing

white cotton ball clouds
waltzing along deep blue skies-
ill wind steps on toes

summer showers
heat and humidity reign-
sunlight lingers

bold rolling thunder
lightning quickly strikes twelve times-
perfect 300

fall’s first killing frost
season of melancholy-
cold of winter near

snowfall melts
winter gives way to spring-
first mosquito bite

Life Ever Changing

Life Ever Changing

As I set beside the shoreline
Remembering my yesterdays
Some with regret of course
Shaping how I have changed my ways

There is nothing I can change
Looking back is all I can do
I have some wonderful memories
Of which I find are way too few

I am captain of my fate
A fact unknown by me for years
But truth finally came to light
After shedding so many tears

I let go of all the pain
I harbored within my heart
And I slowly began to heal
Even making a new start

Life is ever changing
And I’ve learned a simple thing
Take the first step and then another
Believing the honest joy it can bring.

An Ever Changing Tide

Stretching and pulling,
  the Universe goes on

Cosmology’s wonderment,
  each day a new dawn

The Spacetime Continuum,
  today’s Top 40 hit

Tomorrow inherent,
  unless we’ve been misled

The deeper the probing,
  the ‘Bigger the Bang’

What Einstein, Godel,
  and Penrose began

The good news for knowledge
  as we err and refute

Like a tide ever changing
  —to immerse in its truth

There was a snowman standing on his head. He was not dead and no tear did he shed. He reminds me of our world, seemingly happy, unfurled; projecting things ominous, filled with dread

Premium Member Our Love Is Ever Changing

Our Love is Ever Changing
To Barbara with love
on our 48th anniversary
By Franklin Price
11/21/2017

Our love is ever changing
Yet somehow stays the same
As on that night in '69
When you vowed and took my name

We'd both been through some tough times
Times that could have made us cold
Yet the knot we tied still binds us
Even as we're growing old

The years we've spent together
I would not change for anything
You're as lovely as you were that night
 I placed the wedding ring

That never ending sign of love
Still remains upon your hand
 God in Heaven told me
I should place that wedding band

I'm so thankful that I found you
And you share this life with me
That our ever changing love is real
Not some longed for fantasy

Premium Member An Ever-Changing World

The world around us is constantly changing.
It’s being destroyed on a daily basis.
There must be a way to help a planet that’s aging,
And teach people how to prevent a crisis.

All I see around me are people who don’t care.
They’re so wrapped up in their daily routines.
No one seems to notice and it seems so unfair.
This isn’t the world that I see in my dreams.

So many people are willing to blame others,
Rather than stand up and accept what they’ve done.
Maybe one day they’ll see that we’re all brothers,
And understand that the world should be one.

I ‘standeth’ in awe
It warms by day, yet cools at night
Of the ocean, of the lake, and from thy wet ground
N-o-w evaporate
As though still, but invisible

Water vapour now a
Rendered cool, droplets form, liquid water born
N-o-w condensate
Form thy clouds, form thy rain
Through winter ‘formeth’ snow again
Your varied forms, ever-changing face
Whilst humid, vapour in the air contained
Exceed beyond thy limit, thy air cannot hold
Let the misty atmosphere unfold
The tropics of dew
Ever condensing from morning air
In the cool clear night, quietly escape
Cool droplets of dew, morning grass made new

Soft crystals n-o-w form
Conditions suffice, ‘turneth’ to ice
Ever-changing, rendered new

Ever Changing Tunes

Melodies such that remind me of my past,
Of whatever done , left behind or simply lost.
Slowly getting into trance of what was deep buried,
Tunes act like a shovel , trying to dig out all those horrid memories.
In the depth of my memory , those moments still laugh back.
How do I escape ?
These thoughts in my head.
Constantly racing , running.
I cannot decide.
So,I sat there
With all the upheaval suppressed inside,
Sipped coffee and changed the soundtrack.
