"And all the lives we ever lived and all the lives to be are full of trees and changing leaves..." - Virginia Woolf

When sun grows stingy in the sky
melancholy wilts happy flowers

summer’s long days will be fading away
when trees announce fall’s coming
in their brightest attire

Gold and Crimson waltz
in autumn’s cooling breezes.
Pumpkins wear strange grins!
Summer’s obituary
by this time has been planted.

when rivers and lakes
solidify into ice . . .
december skates in

An Ever-Changing Universe

Notice how the stars
are pulling away from us,
and their light is less luminous?
I remember seeing them closer
than the flickering lightning bugs;
now even they fly to another universe...

An ever-changing universe
is an admonition of events
coming to an awful conclusion,
and as it extends further into infinity,
our fears grow too real to dispel mystery;
nights without stars
is a sea without sails,
pity the lonely moon staring in confusion...

The eclipse of the effulgent moon,in mid-winter,
covered the solar surface with obscurity,
even momentarily,we felt its density
and leaned on the edge of despair;
when light returned, hope was restored
in an ever-changing universe so vast and cold...

Only astronomy sees the changes
to enforce this belief on us,
and elucidates them with exact details;
and if we are deprived of perception:
we must tap our intuition
and flee with an ever-changing universe,
before every star disappears from our skies...

"At times when you feel just like a distant memory...
Embrace the unforgettable moments - just smile and move on"
'you are still alive create new ones'

Life is ever-changing
People change
Your needs change
Sometimes the person you started
Your dream with,
Might end that journey abruptly

Then you feel lost
Alone
Like a distant memory
At times, you want to give up

And clinging to old memories is your only beacon of hope

 It is good to embrace
The unforgettable moments

Smiles can lift a downhearted spirit
We can't always live in that moments though

We need to move on and create new ones

Taking it one breath at a time...

Ever Changing

life is ever changing
full of obstacles and rearraning
life is like a roller coaster ride
it's like an ocean of ever changing tides

sometimes you have no time

life's ever changing just beware

Ever Changing

…Nothing Stays the Same…

Five billion years of age has our planet
And it has changed each and every year.
Atmospheres have enveloped the Earth
And three times…have disappeared.
…changes…!
First came Helium and Hydrogen
Then came Volcanic steam and Carbon Dioxide
Which lingered awhile and then condensed
Into rains that fell worldwide
…more changes…!
Oceans, oceans! Endless seas!
Water, water Everywhere!
H2O is all to see
There’s naught but water there
…Then changes cold and drear...
Two billion years ago came the cold…
With a world wide Winter Wrap
Advancing, retreating, meek, then bold
Slow motion, sub zero trap
…More changes still…
We are living now in a glacial recession
Which happens every twenty thousand years (or so)
But nothing will stop this Wintry progression
At the very best, perhaps it might slow
…And the changes will keep coming!...
For our planet is a living thing
A being that evolves and thrives
On silence and violence: It can grumble…it can sing
But it cares not (and knows not) of mere human lives
…A short list of ongoing changes…
At least one volcanic eruption every two weeks…
Millions of earthquakes that quake without stop…
Tsunamis every three months…
Eleven lightning bolts striking the Earth (every second!)
Tornadoes rampaging every six hours…
Giant Cyclones every four days…
…Can we truly change any of this?...
Not one iota!
All one can do is endure and abide
For when the Earth decides to change
…There’s no place to hide….

Premium Member Mother Nature's Ever-Changing Moods

At times, she is pleasant. Other times, she broods.
Mother Nature has many, ever-changing moods.
How will the lady be acting today?
What can we expect on this summer day?
Will she bless us with sunshine, or inveigh?
As a mere mortal, I cannot say.
There may be weather as pleasant as can be.
Things can start being hot and sultry.
Without warning, she unleashes her fury.
The wind kicks up to a ferocious velocity.
Some dark, ominous clouds stretch across the sky.
Loud thunder I hear, lightning I see with my eye.
Anytime, a vehement summer storm can begin.
Is the lady paying us back for our sin?

Life Ever Changing

Life Ever Changing

As I set beside the shoreline
Remembering my yesterdays
Some with regret of course
Shaping how I have changed my ways

There is nothing I can change
Looking back is all I can do
I have some wonderful memories
Of which I find are way too few

I am captain of my fate
A fact unknown by me for years
But truth finally came to light
After shedding so many tears

I let go of all the pain
I harbored within my heart
And I slowly began to heal
Even making a new start

Life is ever changing
And I’ve learned a simple thing
Take the first step and then another
Believing the honest joy it can bring.

The Ever Changing, Sands of Time

You came to be the rain
I was always yearning for
scratching at my surface
until I bleed no more

I remember sailing once
on a cloud around your essence
how peacefulness crept over me
every time you bless my presence

as the rain slows down
so did my hope
of ever taking part
on a journey well blockaded
down the atrium to your heart

soon there after, I was shot down
our relationship eroded
the great man I strive, for you
must have been hidden, or you
pretended not to notice

I guess that's just how it goes
always how meant to be
for if I skip this tiny stone
it was lying there, in wait, for me

just as how I was always towards you
waiting like the pebble
it took a mighty heavy loss
to accept I'm not your level
so I shall lie in sand forever

evil ways start as mistakes
made by careless ones
the lack of love they wear outward
makes them progress numb

a drop of hate is all it takes
to pierce a thin-skinned heart
once it filters through the muscle
a hole is formed to start

once it opens danger strikes
hate invades the home of love
then converts the greatest feeling
into form not pure enough

a flames is lit, it starts to spread
like an eclipsing moon
this disease you feel, very real
the shade black, of which that,
consumes

I know I'm close inner peace
for I've reached the inner-me
I believe the way to balance
is through bright darkness synergy

the cycles dawn ,move on, then fade
as moonlight runs from young sun rays
just as beast accepts his cage
he lays their accepting defeated days

would you like this forced on you?
we know the leaders lie
at this hour make your choice
live free or caged and die.

this is for you, meant for you
it's been stored in me so strong
I accepted truth, before you knew
I took a leap of faith...too long

Life Is Ever Changing

Life is not a game that should ever be left to chance.
Days are to be lived joyously; nights filled with dance.
The world should not be war-torn until nothing is left
by would-be kings playing games, leaving us bereft.

We should never be separated; black versus white.
People are not pawns who would rather not fight.
There is room enough for everyone but how can it be
if lives are easily sacrificed when greedy kings disagree?

Oh, what shame when power rules the lives of many!
Riches for nobility when commoners have nary a penny.
Life is not supposed to be continuous battles fought.
Don't ken the color of my skin. Look inside my heart.

Stubborn are those who pretend that life is but a game,
making mistakes but always pointing a finger of blame.
Causing misery for others, too much heartache and pain.
Foolish ones who seek more wealth and material gain.

Life is complicated when heavy burdens we must bear.
We would all be happier if only we learned to share.
No one wants to be the loser, and hear, "Checkmate!"
Life is not a game. Don't give power to those who hate.

Life is a beautiful gift, offered to us by the One true King
We should find something new each day that's inspiring.
Life changes like seasons in which Mother Nature thrives.
If we must make a game of it, let the prize be better lives.

I ‘standeth’ in awe
It warms by day, yet cools at night
Of the ocean, of the lake, and from thy wet ground

Rendered cool, droplets form, liquid water born
N-o-w condensate
Form thy clouds, form thy rain
Through winter ‘formeth’ snow again
Your varied forms, ever-changing face
Whilst humid, vapour in the air contained
Exceed beyond thy limit, thy air cannot hold
Let the misty atmosphere unfold
The tropics of dew
Ever condensing from morning air
In the cool clear night, quietly escape
Cool droplets of dew, morning grass made new

Conditions suffice, ‘turneth’ to ice
Ever-changing, rendered new

Premium Member An Ever-Changing World

The world around us is constantly changing.
It’s being destroyed on a daily basis.
There must be a way to help a planet that’s aging,
And teach people how to prevent a crisis.

All I see around me are people who don’t care.
They’re so wrapped up in their daily routines.
No one seems to notice and it seems so unfair.
This isn’t the world that I see in my dreams.

So many people are willing to blame others,
Rather than stand up and accept what they’ve done.
Maybe one day they’ll see that we’re all brothers,
And understand that the world should be one.

Ever-Changing World

Ever-Changing World

There are changes in the world
Every single day,
These changes also affect children
And how they all play.

From black and white photographs
To listening to the radio,
Then came the black and white t.v.
These are things, people already know.

Tiny records, called 45's
Upgraded to the LP's,
Played on record players everywhere
They didn't cost much money.

Many different hair styles
Have come and gone,
Toys and clothes, kids had to have
With each passing dawn.

Then came the computer
Something everyone, thought they'd need,
Making the world, a much easier place
Helping with every day deeds.

Walkmans and cassette tapes
Were also in style,
You could clip them to your side
Run or jog for miles.

Now, it's discman's and I-pods
And music CD's galore,
That children want now-a-days
And oh, so much more.

Ever Changing Tunes

Melodies such that remind me of my past,
Of whatever done , left behind or simply lost.
Slowly getting into trance of what was deep buried,
Tunes act like a shovel , trying to dig out all those horrid memories.
In the depth of my memory , those moments still laugh back.
How do I escape ?
These thoughts in my head.
Constantly racing , running.
I cannot decide.
So,I sat there
With all the upheaval suppressed inside,
Sipped coffee and changed the soundtrack.

Premium Member The Ever-Changing Face of Love

I saw this old couple holding hands as they walked into the store
I’ve seen them walking….holding hands…a hundred times before.

Since we kind of know each other…before they headed out
I asked if they would answer a question…something I was curious about.

“I’ve seen how you walk hand in hand.” I said
“I’ve seen how into each other’s eyes you stare.
I was wondering is there a secret to your love…
something, perhaps, you’d like to share.”

Although they took turns talking…and quickly their responses came…
I shall not distinguish their voices…because their message was the same.

We can think of nothing more magnificent…more beautiful…more sublime
than that feeling of elation when we fell in love for the very first time.

But from that moment we first fell in love…time continued flowing
and we continued changing as we continued growing….

The beauty of our love is that even as we’ve changed…
as all people and couples do…
we’ve been lucky because our love has changed and evolved too.

Which means…since we’re not the same people we were back then…
we get that feeling of falling in love for the first time…over and over again.

If falling in love for the first time is special…unique in it’s own way…
Imagine what it’s like falling in love for the first time…with the same person every day.

With that they gave each other a little kiss…then as they’d done a hundred times before…they held each other’s hand as they walked together out the door.
