End of Days

Perhaps the 'End of Days' will be like tomorrow,
a thing we have counted upon,
however,
it may arrive later than we thought,
not our fault really,
prophesies have their own timescale.
If that 'tomorrow' arrives, and it looks like hell,
then we might as well
sleep late,
and if there is still time,
paint the bedroom ceiling
with many a hastily applied
hallelujah.

THE END OF DAYS

In shadows cast on crumbling walls,
A world once vibrant, now enthralls.
Sunset's blaze, a final dance,
As echoes fade, in apocalyptic trance.

Whispers of winds through barren lands,
Silent cries on shifting sands.
A symphony of chaos, nature's last breath,
Embracing demise, the dance of death.

Stars extinguished, night's canvas bare,
Moon weeps softly, a lone despair.
Cities echo ghostly tales,
As the end unfurls, the final veils.

Yet in the ruins, a seed of hope,
Nature's resilient, a lifeline to cope.
From ashes rise a new birth,
A chance for healing, on scarred Earth.

Ancient evil rises from the grave,
Blackened souls lurk with vile intent.
Here to ravage Earth and man enslave,
So they can bask in our discontent.

Death runs amok across the land,
Billions die in less than a week.
A mass extinction is soon at hand,
With no repentance at all to seek.

The execution of man and beast,
The whole world pays for all our sins.
Nations topple from West to East,
God bows his head and Satan wins.

Why weren't we able to maintain peace?
Those reasons remain a mystery.
With no one left to pay our lease,
The house of man lost in history.

End of Days

What happiness is there in living?
What sadness is there in dying?
Happiness and sadness are ashes in the wind.
Death came along with birth; neither were growing young.
The hope of living, is the fear of leaving.

Man's iniquity courts his own end.
His life was lamentable, his death painful.
Only with brightness can good exterminate evil.
Joy and sorrow eventually become dust.

Heavens envy the righteous.
Plucking them before they fully ripen
taking them away from the lurking birds
So they feast not on them, lest they rotten

What's there on the otherside?
Who has been to the otherside?
What happens over there?
He who knows not, speaks not.
only tales for children's nightmares

Heaven's sin goes unpunished.
While it unleashes its wrath
Pitying not the people of this world.
Whose hardship knows no bounds
Who will punish the Heavens?........

At end of days, it is too late
To set our heart with bliss ablaze
Death looms, we feel life force abate
What’s the use now, to sing God’s praise

Dead man walking, as though in daze
The life we led, crooked, not straight
Weary now, in life’s final phase
At end of days, it is too late

With each breath, we’re at heaven’s gate
If we but turn inward our gaze
Whence divine aligned, nodes pulsate
To set our heart with bliss ablaze

Love never ceases to amaze
Shift now to the heart, why for wait
Embrace divine brooks no delays
Death looms, we feel life force abate

Our thoughts, words and deeds, shape our fate
So resonate with love always
But if the fruit of lust we ate
What’s the use now, to sing God’s praise

The time is now to mend our ways
Spread joy, heart contractions negate
Erst fears and desires, to dust raze
That one with God, we celebrate
At end of days

Until the End of Days

When the last wild tree has fallen,
Concrete covered last bare earth,
When we've finally completed
Rape of the Mother Earth,
When the last bird has flown freely,
The last wild animal safely caged,
Will we be proud of the warfare
Against nature mankind has waged.
When the earth is one big city
With an outlook bare and bleak
Will we have finally achieved
The victory we seem to seek,
The natural world confined in
Glassed arboretum, in zoos
And nature is reduced to manicured
Manufactured sterile views,
When machines have pumped oxygen
Cleansing carbon oxides from the air,
Oceans been cleansed of the garbage
We had in the past thrown in there.
When global warming is controlled
And the climate has settled down
Wondering if life will be of value
If, when looking around
The only view is the buildings
Of the one big sprawling town.
No more swinging swaying
Freely whispering trees
To accompany the birdsong
Drifting on a spring breeze.
Or a poignant scene
So hard to forget,
A skein of wild geese flying
Against an autumn sunset

End of Days

It was of reason for what's to come as things change like people do. Searching for a reason to put me down as I've carried through with a heavy load. It was a midnight ride I came from one night, singing in praise living and laughing out loud and free for all the world to see me run and play on another glorious day. Walking along in the valley of hell, life on earth as a caring man here on our promised land till the end as time will tell. Once the day comes for all to scatter and drift away, crying and screaming, sinking and drowning with sin undone not forgiven. For what God giveth he can take away, all man made materials given the day when time began as it began with the end of Days.

The End of Days

If it arrives
will it be reduced to a ‘not quite’?
We wait knowing we must miss it
in order to see it.

Maybe the 'End of Days'
will be like a tomorrow,
that turns up much later than we thought?

While we wait
we might as well paint hallelujahs on the ceiling
as well as on the bottom of a coffin lid,
or doodle question marks on blank walls.
The probability of all being well
both in heaven and hell are slim.

Is the End of Days’ a postscript
or a prologue?
It was not clearly forecast
at the beginning of the days.

The ancient scribe of all this
expired at the end of his days.
He should have spoken more clearly,
his fault
not our fault at all really.

At end of days comes life review
Smiles and tears that we caused
Are we pure like the morning dew
Is our ego urge paused

If we sit at God’s feet
No lessons to repeat
Joyful soul’s bliss replete

Heart’s loving ways
At end of days

My fingers reach for heaven,
hope is clutched in my hands.

God is watching us,
I know he's listening.

I pray to him,
asking for strength.

My tears,
they blame my weakness.

My heart cries,
It beats from my pain.

I know the signs,
the end is near.

My eyes have seen,
my ears have heard.

My faith is tested,
every single day.

The great tribulations,
they are starting.

The fig tree,
it has bloomed.

There are food shortages,
disease and pestilence.

The love of people,
has cooled off.

People are selfish,
they are greedy.

There are wars,
and rumors of wars.

My eyes are closed,
but they see clearly.

Just as in the days,
of Noah and his ark.

No one believes, no one sees,
the heavens open up and it begins to rain.

Polls to polarize
Magnificent her glory stands abashed
Kick the can again
Shattered irreplaceable hope dashed

Find affront line
Sad a brother said a vile phrase
Undecided vilified
Bringing on the end of days

End of Days

And I for one would like to sleep
but I cannot, because I weep
for lives and dreams and nations lost
We never thought to count the cost

So many are the pirouettes
of running, flailing silhouettes
as flames behind them flicker high
to set aglow the night time sky

Becoming so habitual
this savage urban ritual
of settling some phantom score
by pillaging a local store

is just a New World Order nod
like summoning some pagan god
These worshipers show ignorance
while sacrificing common sense

And mass hysteria abounds
while cultish television clowns
erroneous, declarative,
perpetuate their narrative

That theirs is right and yours is wrong
so you had better come along
and join the other little sheep
Oh how I wish that I could sleep!

Alas my mind shall never rest
My soul, this world does daily test
Let my last option be my first
In God's sure hand I'll be not cursed

My money doesn't mean a thing
Possessions make not my heart sing
But steadiness in spirit form
shall guide me safely through the storm

And though the world be set ablaze
as we come to the end of days
I pray that you and I shall be
together in eternity

Rumors of War

Rumors of War

it seems that
we are in the end times
wars, and rumors of war
terrorism all around us

the dogs of war
are restless, just waiting
to emerge from their lairs

to unleash havoc
death and destruction
end of the world

and the leader of the world
our purported president
is every day
becoming more deranged

moment by moment
loosing his mind
as the inner demons
take over

and at such a time
when the whole world
seems to be sliding towards war

Our dear leader
seems determined
to lead us to the ultimate
war of all

world war 111
looms ahead
it could start any day
and nothing will stop

our idiot in chief
from unleashing
the dogs of war
