Hardly Gregarious

You want to know the downside of Aquarius?
Just ask the folks who weren’t in Noah’s Ark,
or check out Jethro Tull and Linkin Park.
The paths we tread are manifold and various,
as Lewis learned by teaming up with Clark –
and now the Eightfold Way reveals the quark.
Is ‘humorous’ the equal of ‘hilarious’?
Is ‘mini-skirt’ the same as ‘cutty sark’?
About as similar as ‘bite’ and ‘bark’.
We take from this that language is precarious,
quite unreliable (if not nefarious):
don’t trust a man who says he’s made his mark.
Instead of “it is written”, “it is dark”:
for I have felt the sinews of the shark.

Premium Member The Refugee

Warming myself in the fire of the sun, why must the soil be so cold?
Listen closely, and I'll show you a story of ancestors I never knew
They had a place like this that they called home, or so I was told
Watch intently; I'll unfold my own fable heard before you like they grew
Down the blackest hole, the richest safety I would know, I began to take hold
Wait patiently; here comes a thin line of green brought by a stream of blue
In good time, don't prop me up now! No trust; I will hold my own crown
You sleep so calmly without remorse in your house for hours eightfold
I've been sweating all night, hoping that morning won't come, only to cut me down
Then you come with hands and fingers, pulling out the nails that held together the place I made anew
Now, I'm just another refugee; controlled by the view you hold

Premium Member Holding Hidden Worlds Close

Holding unaware worlds close to discover
as a child finds a newfound secret land.
Take the noble path to touch the other
go through cosmic cracks to let life expand.

Minds swirl and spin in and out of control.
See where bigotry and injustice lives
peer deeply within seeking one's own soul.
Show children how a loving person gives.

Once one has seen the breadth of hidden pain
if we do anything we must teach the youth.
With the next tiny blip they won't complain
about all the varied views on world truth.

Through the history of logic and thought
remember youth must be carefully taught.

Premium Member Coming Together

Two sets of footprints merge on the beach

	Earth wind fire and water

Chariots of passion as lips lubricate desire

	Body mind spirit and soul

An Eightfold Noble Path squared in heaven

	Love peace desire and lust

Drift wood applauds high and low waters

	Corals caress chorus crescendo

A fog horn sounds hope at the lighthouse

	Oyster union tantra and waves

Pheromones moan prelude rhythm and cadence

	Tremors volcanoes tsunamis vibration

Orgasmic glow blushes the poets’ cheeks

	Two tongues and double vision

Octopus

Ink flows from the pen when sorrow grips hold
squeezes through tight places of suffering
Ejected dejected the fountain squirts Kraken’s
wisdom mimics camouflages inner power with
tantamount tentacles waits to fuse and defuse

Four pairs of arms guarding noble truths
of impermanent suffering scripted on paper
                               Freedom arrives when attachment ceases
thus when I attempted to touch the octopus
submerged under water a solution ensued

Too close I tried to retain the moment in what
only floats in the flow of fleeting consciousness

An eightfold path awaits once sentient beings
are respected unharmed and when wove paper
nib and the scribe mercifully merge into one

Noble Eightfold path
leads way to understanding
all life’s suffering

Karma

The games people play are dangerous indeed,
To toy with emotions is a villainous breed.
Karma's response will be vengeful eightfold,
Those receiving it will not be so bold.
