Premium MemberSilent Dancing

Bejeweled
Like moonlight in a rain drop
Glittering
Like a golden Christmas garland
Breathless
Like the first strike of Cupid's arrow
Faultless
Polished pedestrian perfection
Dancefloor
Diligence delivers determined duos
Paused.
Stunned. Silence. No-one breathes..
Acclaim!
Applause like a stampede of wild palms
Rapture
Of recognition requiring a hopeful return
Critique
Clamouring critical comments
Ascension
The holy grail of stairway stardom
Adulation
Anticipation of achievement assessment
Awaits..
The scores are in.

Love Sonnet

They have known each other for so long,
None liked them, breaking them up.
Souls tried, taking her heart like King Kong.
But the man kept her as a dear teacup.

They were like friends, not loved ones.
Yet they were closer than any others.
Selves trying to break them down again runs.
Finally, they are just great couples.

Time goes by fast, people get bored.
The love fruit is not good anymore
The couple, either one will be ignored.
Returning emotions to the ground floor.

Not all love fruits are like that,
Duos make them sweet, no more combat.

FRIEND OF MINE

Artie Mac was a hero of mine
Singing songs most all of the time
He would never just say Hello
He'd hit you with a greeting from some Broadway show
Man he could sing everything
That voice divine... he was a friend of mine...

Saw him down town sing a cappella
Send In The Clowns in some downtown cellar
The Ayresome Angel from his distant youth
Nailing those notes with a resolute truth
A Holgate man, no fancy Dan
That voice so fine... he was a friend of mine...

One night he's on the stage with J.T.
I looked away but I knew he'd seen me
Get up Lou he shouts, let's do Out Of Time
You and me we do that real fine
Artie and me, rock harmony
Line for line ... he was a friend of mine...

Dying to Live, note after note
I hear this song, lump in my throat
Gone far too young this magical guy
Drink in my hand, tears in my eye
Thanks for them all, duos recalled
Time after time... he was a friend of mine...

Tribute to Artie McDermott who was a great guy, Boro fan and the best singer I ever shared a stage with.
And there has been quite a few.

Premium MemberNight Shoes

male night shoes talk
man talk
daring to be stepped on
yet
soft, passionate
like blue music
patent leather, suede whispers
New York sliders
date night daddies nearing 500 bucks
purchased to impress
and say, “I am prized”

lady night shoes murder
the feet and other feet
weapon sharp heels
definitive sound of going somewhere
sure
straps, buckles and clear plastic studded
sadistic pumps
prom queen duos that in their loveliness
ache
sex on soles with leather warnings that say
“See my night shoes. Dangerous”

Premium MemberBiblical Duos

Dynamic Biblical Duos:

Adam and Eve:
First created pair.
Forbidden fruit they did share.

Cain and Able:
Cain was a tiller of the land.
Able murdered by his brother’s hand.

Jacob and Esau:
Twins in their mother’s womb did fight.
The wrong one got the birth right.

David and Johnathon:
David played the harp for the troubles Johnathon’s dad had.
His songs of praise and joy were the opposite of sad.

Esther and Mochadi:
Orphan Jewish girl in the land
Kept her heritage a secret at her cousin’s command.

Joseph and Mary:
Pregnant with the holiest child.
Onto Bethlehem on the donkey mild.

Saul and Steven:
Steven an early Christian of the day.
Saul threw stones to ruin his way.

Saul to Paul:
Saul did what he thought was oh so right,
Till he was blinded and changed by the light.

Bedfellows

Bedfellows

When love flows
It is refreshing like a morning breeze
Looking at my lover, bows
And conform to what we feel for each other
It is so sweet like Marshmallows

As bedfellows
Let’s play a game unknown to foes
Count my eyebrows
I will count your eyebrows
We can play the game until we doze
As a Duos
Our mission is to tame our egos
And oppose dividing thoughts that buildup to be Silos

Don’t rush to oppose
Please hear me flow
I like it when you glow
Your smile is pure like a snow
For you I can put on show
See, I’m down on your toe
No, no, no please don’t go
Believe me I won’t let you go
Because If I do, my plans will blow
I don’t know how to say this though
Your days of flying solo
Are over Joh

Fly with me to Oslo
Baby will cruise down with our Peugeot
We down to Congo
Roll down your window
Listen to the sound by the sparrow
It’s like romantic song on Metro
Shall we dance a tango
And celebrate me and you
As official bedfellows

A Shared Demise

allusion, best friend, destiny, farewell, funeral, love, romance,

A SHARED DEMISE! ©

Coupled ‘lifers’ love is spent when terminated time sets in
This lovers state of affairs does ‘mirror’ a set rule of the ages
Outstanding duos do ‘voice’ as real friends sharing a mind in tune
Their clocked-time reverses knowing a finale means only one
It choruses from their minds and lips between two set songs
Shared prayers of wishes, hopes, and one last requests for mated-sake
Coupled for that one eventual and ‘significant’ closure, for whom ‘the death tolls’
A significant demise for the remaining one will be from broken-hardheartedness
Nature’s culling moments bare no ‘witnessing’ to its’ taking lovers ‘two by two’.

When I think of famous duos, these two come to mind
No, it's not two lovers , nothing of the kind

No famous stars strolling down a red carpet walk
Reporters following them, hoping for tomorrow's gossip talk

But they've been around to feed us a quick meal in a bind
Or to eat just for fun and they come in more than one kind

First those two fresh pieces of white wonder bread
Creamy peanut butter onto each one is carefully spread

Next choose the jelly - grape is usually mine
But there is also strawberry, apple and many others are fine

Put it all together with jelly dripping down your chin
A big glass of cold milk, let the feast begin!

Yes, I think this duo is one worth the mention
Although, it might not get all that very much attention

Gooseberry

It's a ripe hour under shield
And tranquil carefree splendid of the day
Quoting the splendour combination of beauty
It's the time on the lovers on board.
A butterfly pretty and pigeon beauty
Both are true and are mine
When duos redeemed, I was there
A babel of noise to must bubble
Won't I be backbitten as a backbencher?
I am an ally of the lovebirds
Background temptation must let go here
I am a friend and a best man to be
So, so and so thought should excuse my tract
And let me remain a matchmaker under zephyr.

An Erased Poem Raised From the Dead. ( For the Duos Contest From James Peranteau and John Loving Iii

Trusting
(without doubt or fear)
Inverse fine gifts
(given to us something dear)
Amoraously
(with great affection we give.)
Ambiguious chatter
(sweet nothings whispered in the ear)
Ambivalent feelings
(our existence as a whole.)
Overtly extrude with exuberance
(openly pushed feelings explode)
What can not contain itself
( the Holy Spirit commands it to shout)
in mine mind
(in memories stout)
I spill on mine poetic slip
( my mind has use for such splinded verse)
Mind of gossip
(and imagine the best; but tell the worse)

Something

The Southern Cross possessed the sky
that night winds with cold dominion
should coast the chapel roof and cry,
  betray the heartland to oblivion.
Relaying scents on mountain breeze
with relics of the grateful dead,
semaphore on repentant knees,
did something kill the newly wed?
With no reply about the grail,
duos of crows pecked the eyes
and beak-plunged in the entrail,
  communing when something freshly dies.
The friend and lover contemplates
a future tarred and tarnish feathered,
locks digits with the hands of fate
in grinding seas and tempest weathered.
Togetherness, in love division,
  reaching for a different sun,
I know the weight of indecision,
she knows I am the one…
