diddle-daddle, do nothing Dan
fiddle faddled with Francine’s fan
he’s your guy said her sis, he’s your man.
Too lazy to leap from a frying pan?
He is a sloth said his neighbor, Fran.

Knowing when not to do nothing can be awkward

Picture this,
It is a beautiful Summers' day,
And you don't want to waste the day,
Yet there are things to do inside that could spoil your day,
That won't go away,
Which needed your attention the day before yesterday,
You pour yourself another cup of coffee,
  for your decision to delay,
Washing your cup brings another delay,
You shift the washing in the way,
And decide you had better wash what you will need the next day,
But forget to hang it out as lunch gets in the way,
Finally you decide outside you will go to make some hay,
But the sun is no longer in play,
And now the rain is here to ruin your day.

You go back inside and give the day away,
As nothing has made your day.
When doing something, anything, yesterday,
Would not have given nothing, a reason to stay,
On this beautiful sunny day.

Do Nothing Stool
Miracle Man
10/22/2024

The “do nothing stool” is where too many rest,
and this inactivity usually quashes their best.
The “do nothing stool” has one established fact,
being, if you rest there long, you seldom will act.

Doing meaningful things begins with the heart,
and you can’t finish something that you never start.
The back burner gets things and we later ask why?
Things remain there until thoughts of them die.

Premium MemberThe do-nothing practice

Instinctively following scent of delight,
in as that pulsation that does not abate,
in staid stillness, soul attained zenith like height,
teleported by love straight to heaven’s gate,
suffused in bliss mists thus by day and by night,
invoked by yearnings of our childlike heart chaste.
As we can see there is nothing to be done,
save recognising that God and soul are one.

Premium MemberThe do-nothing path

Witnessing what comes to senses five and mind,
befriending silence we extinguish desire,
whence leaving all imagined knowing behind,
from our heart’s core bursts forth a celestial fire.
There is no doer yet this doing is done,
our soul presence aflame like the central sun,
immanent and transcendent at the same time,
radiating bliss betwixt the cosmic chime.

May you be blessed at least once in your life
for a few moments
to do nothing more
than sit upon an empty beach
listening to the waves
as they wash against the shore.

Do Nothing, It's All Done Anyway

A small childish event
slips through an unguarded moment once more,
then a teenage grudge nudges my ego
demanding some resolution.

Big Foot is tearing up the woods.
The interstellar aliens want us all to relax,
to be a be-ing – just a being
not a human doing. No,
we are human beings -
there’s nothing to do.

No fights are worth doing-over, just let it happen,
don't define 'it'.
besides ‘doing’ gives the Universe a headache
you brought upon yourself
back in the early childhood event days.

Let the crap go;
like water it will flow along
the line of least resistance,
then it all ends at the bottom
of a peak you never needed
to climb anyway.

Make a billion dollars,
build that bridge, damn or barn,
let imagination put its hard hat on
and go to work.
Then cut the yellow ribbon and grin.
If it's fun it's done.

When the Master said
we could move mountains
he meant let the mountain move to you -
allow it. He did not mean
start shoveling – that would be dumb.

Bigfoot has left for the Florida Keys
he needs a little rest
from being a doer, forever in training
for his next bloodcurdling howl.

Youtube Horrors

On Youtube I learned
Of the
Carrington event

That has been
And will
Come once again

The problems It portends
to bring on
It's heals

brings a shudder
to some
Of my friends

And when mr. musk
Shot 49 rockets
By next day all
But 9 had bit dust

Consumed as
It were
By solar flares

Or at least
they would have
Us to trust

To have lived
In the green hills
Of Tennessee

With a hillbilly
there
On the land

Returning again to
Stone age
I really think I can

Live without
The tee wee
That serves to make the mind small

Yet I'd really
Miss the world wide web
That connects me to you all

Is the Sense of Life See All and Do Nothing

In the womb where i lived,
I saw nothing, but I felt everything...
out here in the world,
I sight everything and almost nothing
I feel...
will be the meaning of life
just sight and do anything....!?

Do Nothing

Do Absolutely Nothing

For at least five minutes
Do nothing…
Absolutely nothing!
Stare into space…

Better still: close your eyes,
Clear your mind
Drift away
To your happy place

Put your mind in park
Let your consciousness take wing
Savor the dark…and
Do …absolutely…nothing!

Premium MemberDo Nothing Day

I asked my pal what he was doing
tomorrow- should I pay him a call?
He said that he'd had such a tiring week
he wasn't doing anything at all.
So he got out of bed and he didn't get dressed,
and he didn't get washed or brush teeth,
just wandered downstairs with no clothes on
showing all normally hidden beneath.
He didn't have coffee or breakfast,
and went without dinner and tea,
to go a whole day without filling one's tum
doesn't sound that appealing to me.
By evening his boredom was raging
and he vented his spleen on his kin,
eventually chasing them all down the street
wearing nowt but what he was born in.
Hairy and hungry, ranting and raving
like something from out of a zoo,
next time when I ask what his weekend plans are,
I'm sure he'll find something to do.

Sweet Do Nothing

Nymphs float lazily in the still water of the fountain
Frog less lily pads found in their beds. There is silence
In the garden, a sleepy calm passing through everything.
Above the rimmed water, lips of fish speak nothing evil,
Nothing pure trickles from the mouth of the mosaic.
The girl, her back to mouth and lips, is none the wiser.
Her eyes smile, as she lay her head down among the wolves
Their pelts a heady mixture of honey and vinegar in the garden
Half- verdant, golden brilliance. The sun watches her as she gazes,
Calmly and sweet in the garden on top of mustard and green.
Swathed in peaches and mangoes. Tired from too much play.
On the ground in front of her lay dead peacock feathers.
The rushes wait behind the marble ring, a silent chorus.
The finale is coming. They wait for her eyes to close,
Shutting off the princess' glory fro garden 'round.

I Do Nothing Wrong

Well, I guess I'm confused...

There's really nothing left to say. But I just hope you know that i'm in love with everything you do and everything you say. I wish you knew what you're doing to me. Breaking my heart down piece by piece since finally you said there was no more we...I thought you were the one, to pull me away from my problems and all of my pain...To be by myside throughout anything and everything. I thought you said you would never leave me, You told me it was all meant to be. Tell me why, just why does this keep happening to me.

We Think and We Do Nothing

Care to think of yourself,
Sieving through the mundane,
I wonder if you're expecting anything,
Is this the life, or has it not yet begun?
If so, then what is it that is this?
A preparation, a practice, perhaps
An exhibition? Or is it the one true thing,
Has it started? Am I too late,
Should I begin leaving my words behind
Lest I dare be carried downstream,
And continue dreaming the world's end,
Hopelessly begging, "When will life begin?"
As it slowly inches past me.
