“In the fall, I believe again in poetry...”
— Jaakko A. Ahokas
When September comes through heated breezes,
sunflowers watch droll dragonflies duet
to tunes of melodic taunts and teases
of Autumn's promise to pay Summer's debt.
A bright season greets us without regret.
Behind is buried under yesterday
and tomorrow is waiting for its say.
Joyful is this moment in Nature's arms
when time suspends until it finds its way
and ripe Autumn casts its bountiful charms.
“The seasons of all things hold much in store;
for life brings death- which brings new life once more.”
_by Poet
There, in my window view, they come and go.
Each season of the year presents its view;
a unique perfect setting that will show
how nature can unveil the season due-
as each discards the old for one that's new.
This year, I watched the rippling river freeze
as snowy boas graced the naked trees.
But now, it's Spring- the river flows once more
while new buds open in the springtime breeze.
When done, it brings new seasons, as before.
Secrets of The Breeze
A breeze, a playful inquisitive breeze,
Drifting over slippery slated roof tops,
Teasing the silent secretive trees.
Hearing murmurings in wind-blown corn crops
And rhythms of the pattering rain drops.
Communing with the chattering birds,
Remembering the chorused words.
Conferring with restless, careless bees -
The attentive township, listening, heard
Passing secrets of the gossiping breeze.

When eternal Self ensouls body-mind,
being what it is, wishes to live on
but since to its true nature, it is blind,
it fears death, whereas it should simply yawn,
aware that it will again be reborn.
We see that ignorance is our fault line,
because we known not that we are divine
and so we must discover who we are,
for which when our in-form chakras align,
we see our true Self shining like a star.
The amber leaves descend in swirling grace,
Beneath the skies that fade from blue to gray,
They dance upon the wind, a soft embrace,
As autumn steals the warmth of summer’s day.
The trees stand tall, though skies may weep and sway.
With every gust, the branches bow and tease,
Their whispered secrets carried on the breeze,
A fleeting glimpse of life as seasons blend.
The cold encroaches, yet the heart’s at ease,
For beauty lingers in the air they send.
Winter's subtle brush and Spring's balmy stroke
On ragged frost to glossy flowers
Will on with the heaven's wheel go—
A passing through your new older hours,
The sun's condolences, for dark power.
As you've preened birdsong into my fear,
Your beauty's long and lasting ear—
My heart's breakthrough, tissues finally shed
Its life pulsing; pushing things; other years—
Vibrations only after freezing's midst.
Winter with thoughtful wings slips upon
When her voice is too frail to hold life—
Everywhere green, this light she's from;
In gentleness back the forest bites,
As feathery flakes shed through all with white.
Though sun beams on frost's admirable silk
At this true angle on my window sill,
While the glass in me seems to be dying—
When dead leaves lose their beauty's will,
Toned blossoms, out of Winter's ghost, spring.

Robert Charles Darwin
SPECIES originate to evolute
and RUNNING ON till environ permits,
struggling with obstacles going to pollute.
Trial for BETTERMENT: Process commits.
Unplanned blind project, Nature to submit
WITH CONTINUED CHANGES and mutation.
TRYING ADAPTATION on confrontation.
Life ends in Death and species to extinct.
Survival of fittest is conclusion.
New species appear AS Nature's INSTINCT.

' Keola Secret KA - CHING Contest by William Kekaula
Imagine a world void of all hate
where we could disagree and shake hands.
Kindness would wash all grief while we wait,
politeness would be in high demand,
and dignity would, therefore, expand.
A world where rain washed age from our years
and sunshine brought youth instead of tears,
love would blossom midst flowering bend;
sounds of war dissolve along with fears,
and people of the world become friends.
Is peace a dream we will never reach?
are heartaches our only stepping stones?
Are we resigned to walk a lone beach?
Wind sails kites of promises we've sown
sound judgments we quietly disown.
But then, at end of a weary day,
as sun dances mid crimson display.
Shadows soften as planets align,
worries begin to dissipate, fray,
within a peace that nature designs.

For Word Challenge--an I word

Christ’s power dwells in the sun with ship’s drums
In blazing glory without shame
Showing its greatness even when dawn comes
To blaze greater than any man-made flame
This sun gives wisdom her fame with the stars
Christ’s wisdom dwells in the moon uprightly
Wisdom does not shine as brightly
Subtlety and humbleness shine as whole
Unveiling how it shines greater nightly
Than the electric workings of man’s soul
A garden of purple nature beauties,
Colourful small-sized nature gifts take flight,
it's a deep pleasure watching these cuties,
The sky is affable, serene and bright,
Basking in this ambience is alright,
We're in changing times and nature calls out,
For humans to take a different route,
As the night crawls, the sun takes a sink,
The wind says there's something to talk about,
The sky wears blushes of yellow and pink.

Tree canopies offer soothing delight
Wafting breeze that refreshes heart and soul
Ushering trekkers to surmount hill’s height
With their nature-granted functional role
Midst exuding beautification goal…
Under protective shade against bright ray
Hikers find comfort as green leaves do sway
Toward grateful burst of fulfillment peak
Praising God* for His great creative way
Wondrously awesome as heaven they peek.
*Psalm 148:5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

Dark ominous clouds gather in the sky,
Thunder rumbles loud somewhere far away,
The earth gets ready, a shower is nigh,
That drizzle drives her crazy with her spray,
As water and wind in the wet woods play,
Trees sway and dance when the gust gathers speed,
A burning is quenched as rain meets land's greed,
There's steady downpour while lightning flashes,
A yearning fulfilled as petrichor's freed,
Nature blushes under dripping lashes.

It's in our very nature to destroy,
a destiny we seem intent to bear;
annihilate the things that give us joy,
or worse, treat Mother Earth with laissez-faire.
The arrogance we humans have, I swear;
to think that we can gouge, take all we need,
not realise we make the planet bleed.
But like a cornered beast, it's fighting back;
and if we do not soon wake up, take heed
She will have us all, every last man jack!

Sitting detached upon her moonlit throne
Yet with the butterflies, birds and flowers,
in blithe hues, she's never, in truth alone.
Mother Nature's pearly in midnight hours,
Lost in vivid dreams of sunshine bowers!
Dark and tranquil is night, under the moon,
And she wears flowers in her hair, in June.
Fragrances from many blooms fill the air,
as redbirds invade dreams with silky tunes,
and glitter and pearls light the velvet chair.
