Grand Park
Park’s stoic oak, its bark with deep fissures.
Soft serenade of brook and waterfall
With copper coins and stones of well-wishers.
Wee critters in and out of mossy wall.
The warm and cold, four seasons, do enthrall:
Grass plush, leaves deep, snow depths. The stellar sun
Shines on a sticky web, intricate-spun.
Quick flap of wings and landing of birdsong.
Sighting a doe, with young - skittish, on run.
Grand park, in shadow’s leap - a lavish throng.
