Divinest Poems | Examples

Heavenly Laurie

Eternally Lovely now,
The Bride of my Dream of Gold.
And rolling down grassy slopes,
Whose smiling heart ne’er grew old.

Eternally Helpful, too
The Braid in my burgeoned beard
That round my loquacity ropes
And sees that I’m rightly reared.

Eternally wise and kind,
The Bread of His Life and strength
The Child of the King of Hopes
The Lifeline of endless length.

She rides through the ethers now
E’er calling forth clouds of snow
The crying child, helps, as he copes
Wherever his troubles may go.

And so, I have finished my tale,
Except the Divinest part
The poor fool who grumps and mopes,
She JOLTS by her Heavenly Art!

Torture From Deprived Love

Think for once why you lost him, twice why you kissed me
	And thrice why you met me – patient how much should I be?
	To endure this, pain but as pain and plague at full cry;
	Within the borders of this life when everything is just so sly.
	To have awoken enamoured and deeply attracted to your charms,
	With sincerity and a desire to hold you but in my arms –
	But what anguish does it give me hence? And what plight?
	The deprivation of finest and divinest kisses of goodnight.
	But what pleasure does it give me thus? And what thought?
	The deracination from me of the lips that I dearly sought, –
	So, what feeling of love so profound can be satisfied fairest,
	When you, the lady that I so much love cannot love me best;
	‘O who shall love you but as I do?’ I enquire –
	And you say, piteously: ‘Everything is up to the Holy Sire!’

Grandiose

it's darn near perfect, almost grandiose
the weather isn't raining, the sun shines on my coast
work is going easy, friends are beating down my door
life is getting better and I finally know the score

it's darn near perfect, all my baggage packed
it wasn't ever easy with this weight upon my back
there is not a cloud in sight, the sun is shining on me
I didn't need a new prescription to clearly make me see

it's darn near perfect, as it all falls into place
it's not like I didn't pray to His divinest grace
it's darn near perfect, almost grandiose
the weather isn't raining, the sun shines on my coast

Tiger's Hunt

The tiger traces, through it's jungle home,
His prey he chases, just then, the crackle of bone.

Sleekly stalking, through shadow of tree,
His prey just skulking, oblivious, carefree.

Nostrils twitching, green eyes shining,
Pupils dilating and paw's barbs refining.

Lips pulled back, canines showing,
It's the Tiger's tact, saliva flowing.

Such a wonderful creature, watched in awe,
Marvelous features, a strong, crushing jaw.

Watching his hunting in divinest anguish and rapturous pain,
In this death we should not languish, the creature that was slain.

I suppose that's just nature, the way of the world,
Just stay form the Tiger's abature, lest his claws would be unfurled.

First Love, Part Two

A universe of pleasure
Our bodies were, our minds;
We freed ourselves past measure,
Then sought a deed that binds.
And though such deeds devour
Until all flesh have rest,
Our minds, that never tired,
Were each to each addressed.

I questioned her, she answered;
We disagreed, and laughed.
Then word to word was mirrord
And we held ourselves _not_ half.
Her strange bright eyes and body,
Her shimmering burst of hair,
Her silver globes of sweetness,
Her golden lyre fair.
And then, ah, yes, that silence---
No touch, no sigh, no moan---
Only Time not passing,
But I and my Love alone.

Such, then, so much, and not lesser,
Our triumphing love at-first-sight;
And now, as the tide goes ebbing,
I'm standing up glad and light.

So, as these waves slide outward,
Now, as these winds depart,
I'll steer out a song far southward
To the singer who has my heart.

O searing Love divinest,
Who art holier than pride;
O Worthiest and Wisest,
Whose heart is in my side,
Thy "Yea" to me be taken,
And so my "Yea" to Thee,
That o'er this earth, sea-shaken,
Sad days shall no more be.

Heaven

Within the dreaming wells of consciousness,
Lie hid the mighty Truths of unknown God.
Behind the veils,material and dense,
Dwell many Holy Wonders
of great Power, Beauty, Wisdom, Love:
Divinest Magic of a vibrant Life
in endless bliss;
So full of Witchery and deep delight.

And when the Heart of Man awakes,
The Heavens open wide,
And sails away on fervid wings,
or swoons in Ecstacy.

The Music of the Spheres behind the veil
brings visions too Divine to tell,
It's melodies ring out Within,
With sounds of Minstrelsy and Rhapsody
In descant of Remembrance.
