I am blessed to have many skills but navigation isn't one of them! But, I do learn a bit more every time I get lost somewhere.

Afloat in a river of stars,
Ecstasy knits the raft of thoughts,
A destination is what I seek,
Sailing away mindlessly, expecting the waters to speak.

The water calmly paves the way ahead,
As the fog of disturbance clears.
Hesitation takes bravery’s stead,

Darkness fills the air,

Trapped in meaningless whirling thoughts
Boundaries draped around the body
Unsaid words confined in laughing gear
Dread sentiment flowing in breadbasket
Trembling uncertainty waving inside the stump
Sealed in anticipation of a utopian epoch...

A Detour In Love

Her mother gave her the swit name beloved
She is dark and pretty with a smile that
Leaves many smitten fantasizing in secrecy
She has a face I can read and am prying
Into her thoughts with a subtlety yet I know
She can percieve my psychic drone of thots

Signs Along the Roadway Detour Ahead

Going awol when needed the most
Choosing truancy
an uncaring ghost

Stealing my voice
In your offhanded way

Invalidating the least little thing I might say or twist  it untill the true meaning gave way

And when you discovered I would not break
there was no route too low to take

A monstrous ego fed at my expense

the kick at my lowest

Detour in the road - keep left;
An unexpected fork
Took us on a wooded journey.
We were somewhere in New York.

We likely chose the way that was
The one that was mistaken,
So here we are, an hour later,
Feeling quite forsaken.

A stream of cars ahead of us
And equally behind,
All inching on except for those
With U-turns in their mind.

A mile

No Detour

Ageing means no turning back the clock
 And the road ahead is an uncertain path
Upside is you can drive a chair that rock
Shriek streak freak rambling psychopath

Black Night

"You don't belong here!"
They said. 
They doubted the authenticity 
Of my identity. 
Black night bade me come in, 
Provided I sang a song. 
Paroxysms of regret filled my song; 
The monotonous song from my ektara. 
It was a parody of how the sun rises; 
And zoetropically sets. 
To unveil the black night.

Journey ends
Start with heart
Round the bend


Purpose arts
Purpose trends
End with start
Spark fond end


Passion flings
Passion gains
Stretch each spring
Mark feel plain


Detour here
Detour there
Now seed cheer
End nowhere

Detour

Tim was a poet but lost for words as he pondered the meaning of the cross

Sat by the road side of his inner world and wondered which way to proceed

His bones were weary his skin was parched the soul spired in lost ground

He was confused for left and right up down and across or around

The Detour

Like a child losing eye-spy something beginning with a...
perhaps... No... No ! i lie... that thing with a 'P' -
the past... it's not at all dark and distant dreaming
they just change the target - it's not what its seeming,
"Look... look - they got me / they shot me."
