Mr. Dee, the down and out, downcast, downhearted cat
broody, moody, gloomy and in no way fat
dejected, rejected, chased off by some
oppressed, depressed, droopy and rather glum
could not trust people after he was thrown away
buoying him up now is my brilliant cat-loving Aunt Fay.
This that and the other
Essential to ones success
the delivery of performance
the means to an end
the beginning of the process
Prompting an applied behavior
to encourage the desired success
In a professional relationship
No professional stumbling
No conflicting interest
Practical evaluation
Let our collaborations begin
In decisive measurements
the sound moves to inspire
It's from desire
the desire to be best
Your way is my way
We collaborate to produce
We produce in inspiration
Ode to it's success
Ode to us together
Ode to our endeavors
It's all about us
Can't are you and me
Ode to great musicians
Who get the groove
and grind
Harmony and calculations
Styles of every kind
We get it together
When it comes together
and the song impresses
We can do this one
We got our thing together
“No Man Is An Island”
but that was before smart phones
To text and to tweet
technology’s drones
With ear buds in place
these Stepford’s march on
Virtually connecting
— to what’s already gone
(University of Pennsylvania: June, 2025)
A piddling, trifling cha cha cha
Danced her petootsie off, rah rah rah
Wiggling, jiggling and a ha ha ha
We wanted to join them lah dee dah
Dee Daffodil Donna
Found fabulous Flora and Fauna
Floating in a sizzling sauna
What are you doing? She said
Their eyes were closed, their faces were red
They were as relaxed as if they were in bed
Neither answered her at all
They were asleep, dozing through her call
Finally relaxed, after all.
Dancing delicate dragonfly faerie named Dee
Flitted in and out of a diamond-shaped tree
We elves watched her fly off as far as we could see.
She was a darling dainty dragonfly faerie, little Dee.
"I heard a bird singing in the morn' on a bitter
cold winter day- it was so sweet and magical."
Quote By _Constance
Chick-a-dee was lost in the cold snow
his nest had blown away in wind
now, he was just wandering
the winter season tough
then he found a hole
just big enough
in a tree
for a
bird
in
he went
and gathered
some blades of grass
beneath the white snow
he even found some fur
a lady left out some seeds
he went back and forth to his nest
now full with seeds he waited for Spring
Whilst pensive and serene
and seated on the loo
contentedly having
my morning number two
my serenity was shaken
torn asunder
by a massive mistake
a terrible blunder
someone had installed a new toilet-roll
hopelessly bungling this very simple op
the paper, oh horror of horrors
was not being fed from over the top
as quick as a flash
not missing a beat
I swopped it around to feed as it should
restoring my serenity with this simple feat
business now concluded
with a nod of approval I watched it unroll
but, this glaring absurdity
had taken its toll
with hands properly washed
and soap in its receptacle, right side up
I saw something else that had my nerves all ajangle
another absurdity whose jig was now up
the towel on its rail
was not folded in two
but haphazardly bunched
and hanging askew
drying my hands
I folded it neatly as it will be on show
then hung it back up
ends equidistant from the tiled floor below
leaving the bathroom a tad overwrought
I immediately felt my sanity slipping
with a nice cup of tea and some toast on my mind
my senses were assailed by the kitchen tap dripping.
Balancing his largeness on a ball
His wideness rampant, his legs not tall
Making us smile with his balancing act.
He’s like tweedly dee, and that’s a fact.
Her ears point forward to a sound she hears.
A sound beyond a pitch to my ears.
Her legs now crouch to attend the fears
Of the twitching nose that scours the airs.
She runs like a bullet shot from a gun.
I'm following behind on the run.
She corners and traps her small bale,
While I stoop and lift it by the tail.
Don't worry. I set it free.
Dee wore a teeny weeny bikini
All guys on the beach whistled her keenly
She caused hullabaloo
As it was a see-through
And green-eyed gals swore at Dee obscenely.
What kind of pizza do you want?
I don’t want Dominos or Jacks or Pizza Hut.
My favorite pizza is vintage Chef-boy-Ar-dee
We used to fry up hamburger and make this greasy delight
It was so smeary red greasy, it fell apart in our hand
We had to use a fork, and the crust was delightful.
Making it from a box, seemed like making it from scratch.
I loved it so much, I dream of it sometimes.
Dee was the kind of a bunny who wanted romantic love.
Her gentleman caller was sent from somewhere way up above.
Lee was polite, smart, dapper, and he brought carrots so sweet.
His polite manners, and daily kindnesses were a welcome treat.
She felt horrible when he told her that he was moving to Kalamazoo.
Until he said “Of course, you are coming, for I am marrying you.”
Mrs. Lah Dee Dah Hen need her mink and her pearls to dine.
She is stuck up and all about herself, said Mrs. Z, a jealous swine.
Look at her parading around in front of the pond, looking at herself.
I think she looks beautiful, said a thoughtful visiting elf.
You are kidding, right? Asked Mrs. Sheep, another jealousy queen.
The way she is twirling about is persnickety, truly obscene!
I agree with elf, said Miss Faerie, a woman who liked herself.
Then she and her friend gave a high-five to their friend Moe, the elf.
Moon had a huge crush on Dee, a beautiful girl
She was his idea of the perfect cosmo bride
He visited her nightly, his gases all a’twirl
When she opened her eyes, he would quickly hide
The girl felt an enormous kinship with the moon
Into her dream’s moon’s appreciation would glide
His respect turned into a gorgeous melodic croon
In moonlight, both of them felt joyful, and satisfied.
