Premium Member A Graduation Day Poem

(Acrostic poem)

Happy Graduation Day to you!
At last you've completed this journey.
Preparing for a long time you've
Pursued what you've dreamed for and now
You are going on your way up

Greater things are waiting for you and
Really you are on your way now
And there's a more in the future for you to do and your
Dad and your mom must be very proud of you
Use your talents well and be the best you can be, remember
All that you have done to get where you're now
This is not the end but it's just the beginning for you so
Inspire others you meet on your way out to do the same and
Open the door of your heart and
Never quit dreaming but hold on tight to your hopes 'cause

Day after day there are more things to do and learn
And remember to be honest and true to you because...
You can make all your dreams come true one day too

Happy Graduation Day to you!

:)

You Have Been a Naughty Mom

you have been a naughty mom
you put a child on a time-out
no mothers day gift for you
it never wanted to come out of it
it smacked you back

you are a naughty mom
you put a kid on a time-out
no mothers day gift for you
handle it
you started it

you put it there
sole
confined
opposite a wall
it could do no wrong

just kidding
this is yours
a good mom
deserves a good gift
happy mothers day

On This Day...

Here is a toast to Franshae on the day of her graduation, a day we have all been
anticipating! With your head held high and a new degree in your hand, as you throw your
cap into the air and celebrate this day with great hope of your future expectations. As I
reflect back to when your were just a little girl and the light that I saw in your eye's as
they explored the world with hopes and dreams of what treasures and things that they
might someday find. As I watched you bloom into a beautiful rose, so now before me here
stands a beautiful woman, who is well mannered and a fine example of what any mother
or father who had a daughter would want them to be...a Kind hearted woman and beautiful
lady and so very smart too. What an honor it has been for me, to be called your
godmother and your friend as well. It is with great pride and admiration that I say
congratulation to you on this day of your great graduation!

This Memorial Day Give Thanks Or Remember a Vet Who Has Fought For Our Country

Duty Honor Code their duty has always been paid
They fight for our freedom so don’t ever let their memory fade
They battle for the righteous cause and sometimes end up dead
They endure hardships we cannot understand so recognize the blood they’ve shed

They’re the men and women of the military Navy Air force Marines and Army
This Memorial Day give thanks or remember a vet who has fought for our country

They conqueror their fear and go into harms way for people who are oppressed or
are
suffering from neglect
And all they are asking for from us is a little acknowledgement and common decent
respect
They’re the men and women of the military: Navy, Air force , Marines, and Army
This Memorial Day give thanks or remember a vet who has fought for our country

They’re the men and women of the military Navy Air force Marines and Army
This Memorial Day give thanks or remember a vet who has fought for our country

So fly your flags with pride and wear your Red, White, and Blue
But always think to yourself they are out there right now somewhere fighting for me
and you
They give everything that they have just for the sake of freedom’s price
So reflect on what they’ve done for us with there ultimate sacrifice

They’re the men and women of the military Navy Air force Marines and Army
This Memorial Day give thanks or remember a vet who has fought for our country

And Nature Was Happy

On the day she was born
Fields of wheat danced joyously,
like sailors coming home.
Skies hued in pink to
announce a newborn female to the world
The beasts of the wood ran exalting
All of nature celebrated the birth
of this extraordinary girl
God sent down a smile-
dancing birds in a feted swirl.

6th place in the "Heaven Sent Smiles" contest by Carolyn Devonshire.
A tribute to the day of her birth.

A Hustlers Pray.

A hustlers pray I pray that my family will still have a place to lay
their haeds down, every day and night I pray abouy this.Hustlrs pray I pray that'll be food on
the tabel.Hustlers pray I pray to become strong in my mind and in my spirt. No one or any
budy can break my hustlers' spirt. Hustlers pray every day and night is like choosing to do
this. The reason why is because I need to make sure that my family is fed every day and
time. Hustlers' pray I pray that 1 day I'll have the courage to stop hustling like I said 1 day
this will happen for good.

The Day We Met

THE  DAY   WE   MET

O cursed was the day we met in Auschwitz
God had forgotten us that day
Another  day of hell
The brief candle of daylight was snuffed away
Through the walls of steel
In this prison-coffin  built
O cursed was the day we met in Auschwitz
What was our guilt ?

O hateful the day we met in Auschwitz
When dawned their hatred for us
Out of the darkness
   -In their twisted animus
   -Out of their hands of bloody butchers
   -Out of their hearts of cold steel
O hateful the day we met in Auschwitz
To whom could we appeal ?

O hopeless the day we met in Auschwitz
Many more this day would be dead
And see no dawn tomorrow
All our yesterdays - fear and dread -
Pharaohs had pursued us from time immemorial
From  Egypt,  Russia,  Gerrmany
O hopeless the day we met in Auschwitz
Could this day end only in infamy?

O hopeful the day we met in Auschwitz
Where in the day’s mist I found you
Wandering within barbed wire wearing stripes
Just another skeletal female jew
Until  I saw you smile
The darkness was pierced by sun
O hopeful the day we met in Auschwitz
Should I again allow my sand of time to run?

Oh joyful was the day we met in Auschwitz
God was so good to us that day - by chance
The darkest hour was just before dawn
My  hoped-for  deliverance
From the walls of pharaoh’s butchers
Was found In your smile warm and embrace
Oh joyful was the day we met in Auschwitz
Can time this memory ever efface ?

Suffered Deliverance

The latter day saints
Their unwanted exodus
Had brought them many trials

Their biggest downfall
When Joseph Smith was martyred
It was a catastrophe

Despite their losses
Their legacy continues
The Church is their example

My Dedication To Tate

From the time we met I will never forget how nice and, down to earth you was
your smile lit up the sun and, touched my very soul I always thought of you
saying many good things about you hoping one day see you again

In your passing I never how smart you were I never knew how many dreams
you accomplished how many hurdles and, mountains you crossed I never knew
you shared your life with so many people how you always showed positivity

endurance, class, Tate you have that spark that will always be with you
on this day of celebration of your life I know you have passed the test
to take flight to the kingdom of god as your resting place I will cry more less

I know you was one of the very best we will miss you I will miss you
god has blessed you us with such a gift to have known a man like this

We love you always and forever more

My Prints

i pour out joys and pains from heart
and mix it with my thought
tho chained and caged right from the start
my whole is what i've brought
I let my life be writen down
and share it openly
to show im no monster or clown
and one day ill be free
perhaps that day will never come
perhaps its all in vane
but no regrets, no doubts in sum
release this from my brain
to keep it locked seems to abstract
to share it makes no sence?
while most react with little tact
i'll keep on leaving prints

Hero's

It's wonderful all the people that are willing to come together,
No matter how big or small the disaster, Man made or mother nature,
They're always a lending hand to rebuild lives, We all need to keep our hero's
of the world in mind, They never had to be this kind, They're present in your life for
your relief,
Thank you search and rescue teams, Thank you anyone who is just a volunteer
willing to help,
I can't imagine How all those families felt,All the people lost there homes, Loved
ones lost too,
I feel for these people in knowing what they've been through, All in shock , Not
knowing where to
go, After getting stuck in the path of an EF5 tornado,

Inspired by a true story in Joplin Missouri. I was born in Joplin then moved away.
Once I graduated high school. I returned. I lived In Joplin for 6 years after
returning. Then moved out of state. The day
I was coming to visit my family in Joplin is the day that the storm came through
producing this mass
destruction. That day Was the 22 of may 2011..

Savoring Sun

It disappeared from sky while locked inside
  No squinting back at light
No one longs for more,
               than those who are deprived

Warmth on skin, bronzing tone
   Brings to life, melting snow
Nurtures leaves as they grow
   Blooms return as it conquers cold

Shadows cast are welcomed back
   Waking day dispels the black
Children play in stretching days
  Beach sand warms to shining rays.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Memories flood with everlasting summer....
   Rising just behind you....setting as we watched
Smells of aloe soothed my reddened skin
   I only cursed you for melting my ice cream
Torturing ants with magnifying glass...
   ...sadistic children giggled in delight
We loathed the night, called back inside
   Each day running into your welcoming arms
"if I Fall Tonight Will You Be There To Catch Me!!!!"
U say ur in love wit me, that u'll never leave me.
It took me awhile to realize how much u loved me.
I always thought that no matter wat u said u were like all he rest of the guys n gurls i
have dated.
Till the day i got very ill n u were still by my side, day by day night by night.
U never gave up on me, always by my side to hold my hand to let me cry on ur shoulder....
Now the day has come that i am falling hard core,
Today is the day that i finally say "I LOVE U BABE" but for some reason when i say it i
dont get a response back.
"So if i fall tonight will u be there to catch me or let me die with a heart break"
                                         i will always love u alex r.i.p. my love
Ms Victoria Mckie
My eyes begin to
water at the edges
of this thought, you
taught me many
things I mean I
crawled, I stood, I
walked,
and though you
have been gone so
long your memory's
still with me, I'm
talking bout you
Grandma, Ms.
Victoria McKie.
You left when I was
9 which shows alot
of years have
passed, the thought
as bright as day the
time when I was
near you last,
and if I knew that
time would be the
final of my life, I
would've held you
tighter like the stars
embrace the night.
I hope you're proud
of me, I try my best
and Heaven knows,
I live a life which
shows I'll be in
Heaven when I go,
I realize that I
haven't done it
perfect to the T, I
know that you'd still
love me, that is one
true certainty.
The day of August
29th in 1926, is
when your life
began without you, I
would not exist,
and this is my
attempt to let you
know that you are
missed, I'd give my
final cent to feel
your lips give me a
kiss.
We used to sit and
read, a lifelong love
I'd learn and keep,
and stroke creative
fires that now wildly
burn in me,
can't help getting
emotional, the
tears, it burns to
see, your presence,
so influencing the
man I learned to be.
I shared you with all
others but I'm
selfish to a fault, I
knew I was your
favorite deep within
my heart of hearts,
you showed me
with your love and
patience each and
every day, it's safe
to say you proved
yourself in each and
every way.
In sitting here and
writing this my
teardrops start to
fall, the weight of
these emotions,
there's no way to
stop them all,
it's hard to keep
composure when
you feel that love
was stole, away so
very early and in
turn it steals your
soul.
I hope that where
you are you're very
happy; Pearly
Gates, I know God
had good reasoning
for taking you away,
and on the day we
meet again you'll
surely know it's me,
I love and miss you
Grandma, Ms.
Victoria McKie.
