Premium MemberMy Father's Love Echo

The arrival of his departure
(A numb and cruel upheaval starter)
was an emotional core rupture;
a visual goodbye to my father.

I saw his final, last inhale
that would never flow to release.
I saw his life light fade to pale
before leaving to forever peace.

In time, I joyously came to know
his essence was such a strong force,
he could bend love air to a flowing echo
and sound it when I needed him most.

I feel sure my father's echo has limits.
Souls exist in spirit realms, so echo assists
must be supremely granted gifts.
At times I feel soak in the depths his visit.

Premium MemberDescription of the Black Woman

Different luminosities don't characterize her. She's

A force to be reckoned with, Let's count the ways:

Brainy, Brilliant

Loveable, Lover

Adept, Artful

Classy, Competent

Keen, Knowledgeable

Whimsical, Witty

Observant, Out of the World

Magical, Mystic

Artistic, Always

Noble, Nurturable

Premium MemberThe safe place

The flashes and glimpses of a,
Time that I remembered.
The happy times.
The joyful times.
Those times that I loved so dearly.
Dreaming of a past that I knew so well.
I felt the darkness as it loomed above,
Then, the storm was quickly approaching.
The fear swallows me as I dream of a man,
He walks with a bright light,
Like none other can.
He surrounds us in a bubble,
Protecting all from the evil.
We watched and listened,
Yet all we heard was,
The complete silence,
Of a grateful nation.
I saw him turn as he held the Trident,
So regal and honored.
I saw the lightning pierce the sky,
Then, when I saw him,
He disappeared into the sea,
No one saw him except for me.
I heard him tell me,
Be safe my child; I shall return,
The storm is almost gone.
I felt a light kiss on my cheek,
Then I remembered it all.
My name is Dominque.

Premium MemberI Could Sit Here

I Could Sit Here”

I could walk along this sandy shore.
Crashing waves to and fro.
Sandpipers chirping,
Seagulls circling,
White sails sailing.
I could sit here for a while.

I could hike this rocky trail.
Relish the splendor of snowcapped peaks
Bathe in an icy brook
Cast a line without a fly
Bull elk braying in the meadow below
I could sit here for a while

I could lie in this meadow of green,
As Meadowlarks sing their prairie songs.
Powder-puff clouds away up high.
A Light breeze cools my brow.
Golden sunset paints the sky.
I could sit here for a while.

I could swing you to and fro
Watch you glide up to the sky.
Your gleeful laughter makes me high.
You are the sunshine in my eye,
The brightest pearl in my life.
I could sit here for a while.

Our connection is made to last
By Michelle Morris

You're far across the Globe
There where Africa stands her Ground
Fertile and filled with Beauty
She is the land that holds our Sound

This Blue Marble on which we spin
Round and round and round
These magical energies we feel
Make spells speak way out loud

For each of us is a Miracle
Each of us is marvelous and pure
And it doesn't really matter to the Universe
Whether we're a boy or a girl

And while you may be part of me
And I am part of you
I know that you belong to Heaven
And this Life is a lesson in Truth

For all I am to you is there
To facilitate your Soul's birth
To nurture and protect you
As you grow and play and learn

Nothing we experience is lost on us
Whether good or bad or life changing
Remember that I'm here with you in Spirit
My love and support is available

And even though we are apart
Across land and waters vast
I reach out through my dreams to hug you
For our connection is made to last

Premium MemberMother and Daughter Reunion

I welcome you, dear daughter,

To our happy home above,

Where resurrection's glory,

Is the story of our love,

I followed your successes,

And I spoke of you with pride,

To know my darling daughter,

Has a fire deep inside,

I know that separation,

Is an often lonely state,

But death is just a parting,

With a momentary wait,

I hope you like our family,

Because our love is real,

The feelings of eternity,

Are like a spinning wheel,

I know your heart is newly born,

And gentle is your mind,

The feelings of a recent past,

Are often intertwined,

But daughter dear I love you,

For the future that will be,

The glory of redemption,

Is the time you spend with me.

Daughter Of God

You’re not what you think.
Things aren’t as they seem.
Lived your whole life
against what you believe.
I know that it’s hard not to
look at yourself
feeling like you are lost,
could have been something else.

Feeling like there’s no hope
given all that you’ve done,
like there’s no way back to
the light of the sun.
But trust me, that’s non-sense,
a literal fraud!
The truth is you’re precious...
a daughter of God.

Premium MemberMy Lost Treasure

“If someone handed you a box with
everything in it- that you had ever lost,
what is the first thing you would look for?”

At once, I stirred with opened eyes!
The doorbell rang- I left my bed
for the front door- found a surprise
on what the big box label said.

“Here's everything you've ever lost-
inside this box for you to find!”
My years of searching with exhaust-
will now relax my worn-out mind.

At once, I chose which loss hurt more;
a treasure gone- no more to hold-
held dear from many years before;
a sheaf of papers, worn and old.

My father's poems- never eyed
all through the years that he was here;
found only after he had died-
and reading them brought on a tear.

For then I knew- I'd carried on
his gift for writing poetry-
and even so, with years now gone,
his talent lives and grows in me.

And now, I have them once again-
no longer searching where they went.
No matter where, the why, or when;
they're back with me, now heaven-sent!

Premium MemberThe Gift By Max Burchett

by Maxwell "Max" Sebastian Burchett

However you say the name,
Mom, Mum, Momma, Mommy,
We all feel the same.

Dear Mother, Thank you!
For all you did for me.
You did not have to,
I know, it was all a genuine gift.
You wanted to.

Every meal, all I wore,
Did not matter, if a little or more,
You gave all you had, was mine,
Then touched my heart with loving words, and stories read,
Your voice, stored always in my mind.

The love you gave
Was like no other gift in this world,
Greater than all earthly things.
What carried me on,
What meant more,
Was your gift
Of love divine.

Thank you, Mama!

These Hands

These hands
By Michelle Morris
20/02/2021

These hands are sacred,
They have held so much in their time;
From baby bath bubble moments to
Writing poetry in notebooks -
Transcending space and time...

These hands have blessed my life,
And that of others too;
They've held people close,
Smoothed teardrops from cheeks;
And massaged weary muscles
Overworked and weak...

These hands, they are a gift
From God above;
With these hands I pass on so much
Light and love -
Their healing is heaven's gift,
The blessing of a loving touch...
