Words like daggers
Straight through my heart
Shredding my soul
Tearing apart
My dreams, in whole
But saving a piece
A tantalizing hope
Never within the reach
Of my calloused hands
Barricading me into a room
With only my thoughts
Like shadows, they creep
Into my mind
Freezing me to stone
Never felt so blind
Pain that they wrought
Upon my ruined head
Tears of gold I weep
Over the hands that they bound
With bloody rope
I’ll finally be freed
Just to live like I’m dead
Words like daggers
Harbinger of hurt
If only they’d left me
Where I was found
Then maybe I wouldn’t
Be so badly burnt.

Daggers I stare into the eyes of strangers
A warning to all to stay away
To seem intimidating and fiercesome
So as to prevent unwanted lust
Daggers that stab into my soul
From friends who become ghosts
Disappearing when I need them most
Their offer of help, only a mirage
Daggers killing my broken heart
The trauma and the damage that can't be undone
Forever wounded, never to heal
For time cannot heal wounds in the mind
Daggers I carry to protect myself
Along side my crystals and jewelry
For this world is evil and unforgiving
For the lonely woman that is me

You cut me
with your words.
Like daggers.
Pulling me down
With your harsh words.
Not liking who i became..
And wanting to Tear me down
Till there's nothing left.
So you can laugh
About how better
You are then me.

he was like autumn
all around him
slowly died
i guess i was like autumn too
but adapted to blossom
embracing the moods
now
it's raining again
i foresee thunder
rocking sunless skies
with lightening
dazzling duller days
heaven's tear drops plummet
like a perpetual symphony of
spears and daggers
hidden wounds bleed once more
i bury my pomegranate heart
to hibernate underneath a
veil of evergreen leaves
your shadow appears
in obscurity of dreams
a reminder of regretful
stubborn bitterness or
maybe forgiveness
a time to move on
the dead do not speak
yet we search for answers
to questions that should
have been known in life
we aim to make peace
with the silence

Fear Not, My Daggers Are Plunged And Never Thrown
When days are burnt offerings and nights jagged blades
I loose me those restraints, set words into parades.
Not a tender child, I have seen fire-burnt hearts
held a dying loved one, when her kind soul departs.
Yes, in ancient days, red-bloom fell off this dark rose
now when world fights me, I fight back- anything goes!
Tender vanities, consumed by darkened fires
entire forests are ash now, tho' thirst still inspires.
Fear not, my daggers are plunged and never thrown
that mark of courage, my bravery is well known.
Up close, so I see horror in their evil eyes
as their darkness understand what it is that dies!
When days are burnt offerings and nights jagged blades
I loose me those restraints, set words into parades.
Not a tender child, I saw fires burning hearts
held a dying loved one, when her kind soul departs.
Yes, in ancient days, red-bloom fell off this dark rose
now when world fights me, I fight back - anything goes!

Paroxysm of pain inflicts this pen,
tears cry poetic allusion.
When petal hearts are misunderstood,
life is full of confusion.
Distasteful thoughts set camp in my mind,
an unwelcome intrusion.
Virgin pages innocent in white,
yearn to wear this mind's effusion.
Too many deep unanswered questions,
lead to a false conclusion.
When judgement lacks honest intellect,
darkness defeats diffusion.
Sun is cautious to cast my shadow,
intolerant in inclusion.
Forever immersed in freezing rain,
victim to their collusion.
When metaphorical daggers scar,
they say it's an illusion.
Melancholic lacerations scream,
ignored by deaf delusion.
I'm bleeding, but you ignore this blood,
it's too late for a transfusion.
Silently sad soul seeks solitude,
far from sound in seclusion.

Eyes Like Darts and Daggers
Her eyes were like darts and daggers,
Those seeing them always staggers;
Picture did draw,
Of face we saw;
Enjoys being women who are naggers.

The Daggers
by Stina Lu
I spent thousands of years
burning my flesh
Casting, hardening, forging ...
The daggers
Put one of them
on the summit of the Olympus
The holy gods feared
and disappeared
Pierced one in the long and narrow island
on the margin of the Pacific Ocean
It arrogated the grace of the sun
Killing and looting in the name of its glory
One was stabbed
into the heart of the main land
Black blood erupted and flew
breeding dizzy modern civilization
One flied into the vast heaven
My footsteps clopping heavily
Make the moon and stars
trembling all day and night
Two were inserted
to the north and south frozen pole
The bears and emperor penguins
drifted all around with no home
The other daggers
were used to cut the river of history
Smash the memories into tiny pieces
Forget all the evil things I have done

Your words are like dagger
Sunk deep in my heart
Though you spoke days before
But the sting is there to stay
Pain I cannot bear
Let me go hide somewhere
These words of yours
Are sharper then any sword
The cut that they make
Is not to heel ever
May be I did something to earn
Those poisonous pricks
The words lost into the air
Left behind a painful trail
Love got driven in a way
May be it's on backseat hidden away.
Never was I entitled to that rudeness
It won't heal in ages.

Greed , negative, stubbornness, vanity, the arrogant
Paranoid , revenge, suspicious, jealousy, the extravagant
Ten words form a cold word,
Human like hidden tongue, come out in disorder
The deep well is dark, the grinders sound, the tea house calls.
The Words are healing the wound thoroughly.
A ray of sunshine flowed through the spring
On this land. Someone has taken out the glasses
The north wind of the horseshoe, the horn called the flocks and herds
Drive the horses and the wolves to pass through there, from here
Just pull the straight bamboo pole.
The remains are turned into mud and dust.
The fire of this time ignites the old totem.
The sunken ship of the sea was surrounded by blue
The explorer picked up the handwriting of China
And the original coin, clear sea.
The weakness of the dagger is with people
The next day, when it was thrust into the distance, it was in front
Proximity, but the truth is not completely revealed.

Within Her Eyes
Memories come fleeting again.
The daggers return lashing back.
For a moment I thought I saw you.
Within her eyes, staring, blank face.
What happened to your conscience?
No answer to the question, but is the answer,
To all the pain endured and survived.
The scroll of scars on a broken heart.
You were a thief who stole my safety.
I was your scapegoat, speaking truth.
Now able to stand as memories pass.
Gifts given to myself that you couldn’t give
Unwrapped by my soul, I am free to be me.

Words are your daggers!
Lacerates this heart
in vicious manner.
It’s hard to forget
like a bad daydream.
Scars aren’t clear.
See me smiling,
Heart is crying
in dark corner.
Turn me down!
Hate me much!
Say it loud!
Don’t care
still I’ll…
Fly!

Gleaming Daggers - Curved double bladed smile, it is the light
reflecting off their polished surface.
Eyes of Mischief - Glitter as luminescent stars on a clear
midsummer's night.
Exploding - A heart that bleeds strength with each firework like
beat. . . beat. . . beat. . . beat.
Fluttering Hands - Touching lightly, butterfly wings, a wispy
brush.
Framed Fire - In a halo of light bursting through the atmosphere
as if a million falling stars
Sparks Shutter - a memory becomes the future as if pride had to reinvent itself
in silent searching
I found this unfinished poem in my papers, any ideas of how to continue/finish? -->Thanks to Justin for His Contribution

Though time never stills
And we have little frills,
My feelings will always endure
And though truer,
Are your words
Less daggers more swords,
Don't you think
That if I could I would sink,
Into your eyes
Pretty lies,
Every wink of your lashes
Whips to my back, and ashes
Piling up from the fires
Every time my heart aspires,
To be next to you
But the chances are few,
Sometimes because of my endeavors
Work, and what not, levers
All part of my bigger plans
For my world eternal sands,
In spite of all this
Nothing explains to me what's amiss,
Haven't I seen you flirt
Constantly with many a cohort?
