he was like autumn
all around him
                    slowly died

i guess i was like autumn too
but adapted to blossom
                                 embracing the moods

now
it's raining again
i foresee thunder
rocking sunless skies
with lightening
                    dazzling duller days

heaven's tear drops plummet
like a perpetual symphony of
                                         spears and daggers

hidden wounds bleed once more
i bury my pomegranate heart
to hibernate underneath a
                                     veil of evergreen leaves

your shadow appears
in obscurity of dreams
a reminder of regretful
stubborn bitterness or
                               maybe forgiveness

a time to move on

the dead do not speak
yet we search for answers
to questions that should
                                  have been known in life

we aim to make peace
                                with the silence

The words you express on the page are imbued with heartfelt emotions, resonating deeply within me, evoking your pain and tears. Just as sunshine can break through the clouds, even amidst the rain, I believe that brighter days lie ahead. Congratulations on your win

We do aim to "make peace with the silence" and once we have mastered this, everything else becomes crystal clear for the silence is where hope and faith lie. This is a thinking poem that dives into the soul of the reader.

It takes time, my friend. The rain may not stay away forever, but the spears and daggers should lose their edge. Peace..

After some time passes, we do make peace with the silence. One book I read said that after we stop missing someone, then we miss missing them. (True) The pain emotes so well through your words. Powerful poetry! Hugs, Carolyn

Many emotions from your heart touch the page. And- I can feel your pain, your tears. Sunshine comes after the rain, sometimes during the rain. Better days are ahead. ~ Brandy

You have a wonderful inner soul Silent One that touch emotions others cannot reach. Grief and the art of forgiving oneself, before we can forgive others reaches me here, sweet sad words . . .

Grief, the heart-breaker, does not hurt as much as unanswered questions of bittersweet love gone too soon. Great poem, Z.

The profound depths and sorrows this reach truly touched my soul my friend. "your shadow appears in obscurity of dreams a reminder of regretful stubborn bitterness or maybe forgiveness a time to move on the dead do not speak yet we search for answers to questions that should have been known in life" -- Fantastic poetry! A fav..

So delicate, yet so powerful..so hurtful, yet so serene! Spears and daggers of the past and the shadows that won't let go. Poetry at its best, SO--indeed we aim to make peace with silence!
