Oh, what shall be my contribution
To the Temple of my King?
When I ascend His holy mountain
What right tribute could I bring?
What present would my Lord desire?
What might serve His kingdom plan?
See, He is a consuming fire
Can we meet? By grace we can!
What goodness could I ever give Him?
How shall I approach my Lord?
I never could deserve to see him
Ne’er could I His grace afford
Is Yahweh pleased with streams of oil?
With ten thousand fatted rams?
How shall I prove that I am loyal?
Humbly guarding His commands
Yes, He has shown what He deems proper
Blood-cleansed hands; a firm, pure heart
A life of trust in my good Father
Was His purpose from the start
I climb His mount with joy and singing
With a heart to volunteer
Surrender is what I am bringing
As He calls me to come near

The Khasis
and their living root bridges,
woven whispers of time,
a testament to patience
and respect for growth.
The Santhals
and their vibrant saris,
each thread a story told,
a tapestry of dances,
a chorus of ancient songs.
The Gonds
and their painted walls,
stories etched in ochre,
a language of the earth,
a legacy of dreams.
The Todas
and their gentle herds
a symphony of bells,
a rhythm of the mountains,
a peace beyond words.
The Siddas
of Karnataka's hills,
a whisper in the wind,
a pearl of wisdom in their eyes,
a connection to the stars.
The Naga
and their warrior grace,
a symphony of drums,
a dance of fierce devotion,
a spirit unyielding.
The Jarawa
of the Andaman Islands,
a connection to the sea,
a whisper in the waves,
a rhythm of the tides.
The Rabha
and their bamboo flutes,
songs of love and longing,
a melody of the forest,
a dance beneath the moon.
The Bhils
and their bow and arrow,
a hunter's heart and soul,
a respect for the wild,
a harmony with the earth.
Oh, these are the things that whisper in my soul,
even in the city's clamour.
In their enduring wisdom,
I find my own.

It is not the size of your contribution that counts in this life,
But your willingness to contribute that counts in this life.
It is not how hard you try in this life that counts,
But the number of times you try in this life that counts.
It is not how much others are prepared to give that counts in this life,
It is how much you are prepared to receive that counts in this life.
It is not how many times you smile in this life that counts,
But how many times you make others cry in this life that counts.

A gain in age
A loss in life span
A gain in age
A loss in health
A gain in age
A loss in value
Unless he has invaluable contribution
Like Abraham Lincoln the president
Like Albert Eistein the scientist
Like Confucius the philosopher
Or else he will be gradually forgotten
Retreating from this world
Unlike an antique
Which time gives it value
Who will give the aged value
Of course no one else
Except his family and the loved ones
Except the Almighty God

chances less than one in a centillion
we became human not penicillin
born to planet spiraling around sun
swift journey through life only just begun
not capable of fending for ourselves
relying on what parenting compels
'til point of making our own decisions
despite doubt, false starts and some derision
whether worker, lawyer, doctor or star
we struggle to be sure of who we are
we fabricate our own evolution
hopefully making some contribution
through trials, tribulation, perversity
we dance our own dance with eternity

Sunset
The last struggle
And the last contribution
Of the sun
To mankind and his world
For a single day
After that the night
The moon and the stars
Will come to take over
Sunset may resemble man
At his old age
The moon and the stars resemble
The next generation
But most men at his old age are
Helpless
Only knowledge and experience
May help
At old age
Health is the most important affair
Just not to trouble anyone else
And for sunset
It will slowly become
Only a recall of
A scene and a memory
Of the younger days

Peace Talks begin
in the expectation of an agreement
to be signed soon,
But talks usually start at noon,
they never end
as though they are held on the moon

with
the air
i am a
stray blade
of couch grass
dancing
in the
wind..
As
Life is,
so am I
TODAY..

Funny how faith found me, when you said you'd send for me
Abundance, I heard, abound in the United States of America
Travel was in my blood; warmed my heart that you filed for me
Humbly I waited my Quota at the U.S. Embassy in Belize, British Honduras
Eagerly you awaited my arrival
Reaching you, my life began anew with stern and lenient caring
Safe and secured, I was proud owner of a Green card.
Dad, I remembered you renovating our home before the hurricane season
America saw you laboring as Construction worker and Carpenter
Yes, you worked, womanized, and drank to life.

I'm Olive, a once flatulent cow.
Spinach is all I eat now.
That silly green grass
is a thing of the past,
for a new wind is blowing this hour.
To methane reduction all power!
If you're a cow too,
show assent by a moo.

What could be odder
than this switch to new fodder?

On Making a Difference
It does not matter how much money I have.
Nor how many medals or trophies I own.
Making a difference in the lives of others is
the way to live, I was shown.
Living as if I were the Hope Diamond under
glass, is no way for me to live, alas!
No need for hundreds to stare at me in stupefied awe!
Getting and not giving is the biggest booby prize of all.
Counting my medals and jewelsas if I were Queen of
the May,
Tells the biggest story of all...a big ego at play.
Winner take all is the opposite of giving.
Demanding people kiss our feet, is the saddest and
emptiest way of living.

I gave up my clothes drier,
For cleaner air.
I started a metal recycling scheme for my local church,
So as not to leave them in the lurch.
I dig most of my waste food into the garden,
And it now looks more like a miniature Eden,
I separate my paper and plastics,
And only toss waste into bins.
I try not to buy products that contain palm oil,
Cause the environment they only spoil.
I read up on what is user friendly,
And treat Animals Kindly.
I pick up rubbish in the street,
To make it look neat.
I hardly ever take the car anywhere I can walk,
As I try to not be just all talk.
I write on both sides of a sheet of paper,
Which I think quite proper.
We don't have a TV in every room,
Or more than one broom.
Our batteries we re-charge,
Despite the extra charge.
Yet my biggest contribution to sustainability,
Something that needs a lot of agility,
And built up resist-ability,
That will give you respectability,
And your dollars longevity,
Leaving you with credibility,
When if you only need one commodity,
That is all you come out with, hopefully.

Society has been infested and inflicted
With wrong doings, crimes, immorality, horror, terror
Causing deprivation, sadness, unrest;
Let’s share our joyous, happy moments
With the sad, the deprived and the distressed ones
To make their lives easy with comforts.
