He captured her charm, serenity, and intelligence in his work. He frequently glanced from the canvas to her face. Asking her not to smile was like asking her not to breathe; patience wasn’t her strong suit.

What’s in a smile? Beauty, and everything! It was a shame that it didn’t showcase a young woman in her prime, the one everyone came to know and love. Her strong features and openness transcended the warmth of a morning rose blooming in spring.

Instead, he painted an autumn theme rather than the warmth of spring. The shape of her face and the curve of her lips were striking, yet they seemed inadequate for someone destined to be a future queen.

That was how I captured him while he slept. That was two years ago. He never contributed anything meaningful to our relationship. Was it love, or was it compassion? I remember those two years well. I told him I would forever love him. What did he do? He sold the link to our happiness. He sold the bike, GH 6615.

Those two years were a peaceful interlude for us, a reminder that what’s in a smile is not always what we think it is.

“Look deep into nature and you’ll understand everything better.”
Albert Einstein

I stood on the sloped path near the waterfall.
Mesmerised by the sound of falling water.
     All around grew green-leafed ferns,
While tall poplars and redwoods provided
Ample shade that covered the running stream.
Tall purple pickerel plants, scarlet cardinal plants,
Everything contributed to a sublime, picturesque sight.
A symphony of sounds emanated completely around.
Frogs croaked in great abundance, jumping in and out,
Of the clear stream where fish swam toward the sea.
And all around, busy bees fluttered over exotic flowers,
Where nectar provided them with such sweet nourishment.

Premium MemberTHERE WIL NEVER BE ANOTHER YOU POTD

Sweet Spring begins, when you allow the fresh winds in.

Letting go of the pitter pat, of the feet of last winter’s cold,
and snowfall’s past.

Forgiving any and all, who you think did any harm to you.

Make a list of those who contributed to your life~ in the most
magnicent ways.

Weave them as bright, yellow dandelions into your sparkling,
new, bright days!

Don’t go running to strangers for a gold stamp of questionable
approval.

Too many are not as sweet as you, and need to be sent to the
a highway for removal.

Smile~ the way you create each day, does effect the entire world!

Choose truth, generosity, love and wrap them in iridescent swirls.

                               3-30-2025

Meet People's Live

My life meets many people's lives:
Some give me sadness
Some give me joy
Some give me instructions
Some give me lessons
I thank everyone who made me grow:
Who made me hurt
Who deceived me
Who made me doubt life
Who contributed to make me strong.

Denmark's war

Denmark’s war

When the Germans occupied Denmark during World War 2 the old king was not dethroned
Every morning, he was seen riding in the park
Once, when his horse was spooked, by two German soldiers. he fell off his horse but got up
He dusted himself off, mounted his stead, rode on
The occupier thought his presence was good for morale, keeping the people passive
It was difficult to be a resistant fighter there was no place to hide after all Denmark is nothing more than a gigantic sandbank
The story of the king could have been written
by Hans Christian Andersen his work has been translated into my languages
We must not forget the physicist Niels Bohr who contributed to the understanding of nuclear power
There are many more names but this is not a list of great achievements
Denmark survived the war by not being overly aggressive making the enemy feel at ease
The farmers farmed, and fishermen fished so much that when peace, came they could help
Norway who faced starvation

Premium MemberThe Blame Game

It is so easy to blame others
for being hurt, stressful situations,
bad decisions that others made
yet, a small voice is telling you
that you contributed to the mess

A life fully lived is a life that is not
clean and perfect like you see on
social media and Christmas cards.
It is full of pain, hurt, and ugly words
exchanged by people who love each other

Yet, life should also be full of encouragement,
proclamations of love, dwelling on happy
moments and finding joy in the journey
and even in the pain. A day can be
ruined by painful words or made by a glorious sunset

I want to be someone who can see past the pain
and hurt to the imperfect heart of those I love.
I was hoping that I was already there,
but I am still evolving into a person that
truly loves others, including those who hurt me.

             ~ PEEK INTO A POETESS’S SOUL ~

?
It's her own delightful ballet studio!

Round and round the poetess goes.

Seeing herself in the sparkling, glass mirror.

And rainbow-tainted visions of her past.

Doing practice positions at the barre!

Yet a vision into her past, is truly a holy foray.

Times of great angst, times of ineffable joy.

Recalling her first kiss and oh, that boy!

Parents who took her on pony rides.

          Where are they now?

Swept away by life's salty tides.

All her friends, she sees in the mirror.

          Events, parties, glorious wedding dinners.

She longs to waltz through the mirror and to
          hug them all.

But stopped she is, by reality's wall.

Each one, in their way contributed to her life.

Of roses, ribbons, total goodness and more.

A grateful tear, splashes in gratitude, on the ballet floor.

he had an inkling
as to what the world was
as to what the universe was

which is why
his sitting on the porch step
playing a beloved jews harp
was so poignant
among the other spheres

and as if, through it,
these convoluted orbits
of journey-filled rounds
contributed dearly
to his rhythm

A poem is a river

Head-hardened dead rocks dare to block the way—
The stumbling blocks of poesy well-nigh,
The rules of grammar gathered yesterday,
And those of prosody pose how and why.
Still, let a poem’s river flow ahead,
Let melody gets born from natural noise,
Let things get ruled by heart, the least by head
And music arise from poem’s own voice.
In purest form, in its simplest so far,
Ceaseless does flow river of a poem
That shines like starry strings, not a lone star
Whose brilliance blinds like a studded gem.
So said and done, if a poem gets made,
A product be of heart much as of head!
________________________________________
Sonnet | 10.08.2014 | poem
Poet’s note: Flow of a river, and that of a poem…. Intellect contributed by head, dos and don’ts and the like, seem like rocks and stones blocking the flow of a river. When the river flows ahead over and aside these obstacles, music starts with the flow. A poem is always a product of heart to start with. The heart may have reasons unknown to head, but a stage comes when the later comes in to play some role. Yet, creativity comes from the chaos created by heart as the Gangotri, the womb of all poems.

Eye of the tempest

Trembling with rage while it rains
I roar in pain
The emotions is strong
How much I have contributed?
How long have I travelled.

I mustn't wait any longer to have regrets
Vengeance must be taken
But when?

Leading by troops to crush enemies.
Drinking their blood and eating their flesh
We must regain our land
And revive our spirit.

Premium MemberRedemption

“This is just a beginning”, - thanks, message received
Though I think it's a continuation
I'll be sanctioned for lot more of things they conceive
For the sin to belong to some nation
So next after the payment service I use
Come the goods that I'm used to buy
They can sanction my bread, my still water and booze
The streets where I walk, and the sky
That hangs over me, in its winter pale gray
Fully sanctioned, and wholly defeated
In all that I am, I may bother to say
“So I guess now your aim is completed?”
Please help me to get back my basic rights
Charged in crimes that I didn’t commit
I contributed well to your victory fight
Do not disappoint me with cheat
I’ve endured the sweetest revenge you arranged
My redemption must be very near
Just sanction my thoughts and it will make a change
A whole lot of change to appear.

Prologue Chapter 1

Gus shook his head and began pairing
everyone up in teams...
Then, WailersWitch walked in.
Followed closely by EllenDegenerate
who was sniffing behind WailersWitch
and snaking the air with her forked tongue
between her fingers.
Degenerate had a shirt on that suspiciously
resembled buildings at Little St. James Island,
a resort for orphans that she contributed to.
Then, Michael Ofelellah walked in with RufePal,
"we're here and we're ...
we choreographed the White Houses Nutcracker
for the White Powder Holidays, now, it's time to get something black!
They opened a mini dome of the rock
box and inside was a demon.
Yes, from inside, popped out
WhoopieCushionPatsy, her dirty
dreadlocks dangled in the air
with filthy pride that reminded one
of a dust storm swirling magically
in a sewage treatment plant, swirling waste
and racing them like Americas Cup.
"Anybody getting a good view of my anti-white princessness, yes it is truly ME!"
Michael cut in, cut the crap Whoopie,
we have a world to subdue before Hillary hogs it all...

We Are One

We Are One

We have endured the pain of slavery and segregation
We have fought for our rights and our liberation
We have faced the challenges of racism and discrimination
We have overcome the obstacles of poverty and oppression

We have witnessed the rise of leaders and heroes
We have celebrated the achievements of artists and innovators
We have contributed to the culture and the history of this nation
We have inspired the world with our courage and our vision

We have not given up on our dreams and our aspirations
We have not lost our faith and our determination
We have not forgotten our roots and our traditions
We have not let go of our values and our convictions

We are the descendants of kings and queens
We are the children of God and grace
We are the makers of change and progress
We are the bearers of hope and resilience

We are proud of who we are and where we come from
We are grateful for what we have and what we have done
We are hopeful for what we can and what we will become
We are African Americans, and we are one??

Mama allowed her daughter freedom to dress her way
Noncustodial dad who rarely came by wanted to have his say
She dresses too provocatively, he said, but they chased him away
He had never contributed anything to her, by the way
