Premium Member Crazy Begets Crazy

It’s always been this way
But now it’s plain for all to see,
Crazy not only draws crazy to it
Like a moth to flame, it also is contagious,
A flame now uncontained, blowing in the wind,
Spreading to the susceptible.

Like the corruption of minors
The insanity of our time
Grows while we passively absorb
In schools and entertainment,
In daily news and inner dreams
What was never meant to be consumed,
What never intended to be contained.

Zipper on my lips
A contagion in my veins
paralyzed spirit

Premium Member contagion

the song bird’s tremolo sent a shiver down her spine
through a crack in melancholy and exasperation
with a sigh she vowed to notice the voice in her head

transparent epiphanies struck a chord with quaint joy
that she was alive despite sorrow and cascading despair
what had seemed a lullaby was merely a new beginning

Sit back and enjoy the celestial view,
you’ve climbed a volcano to get there.
I wish for every star to shine upon you.

The definition of ‘Dreams Come True’
step out in front watch them all stare.
Sit back and enjoy the celestial view.

Every wall faced you pummeled through
even when the starting line was unfair.
I wish for every star to shine upon you.

Knowing that one and one equals two
building blocks don’t lead to a scare.
Sit back and enjoy the celestial view.

Head down, plot, sip that cold brew,
flip the Powers That Be a high end swear.
I wish for every star to shine upon you.

Their jealousy is a neverending flu,
don’t let that contagion ruffle your hair.
Sit back and enjoy the celestial view,
I wish for every star to shine upon you.

a Senryu poem

Oh, that my love were
contagious - you’d catch it and love
me, as I do you.

Ahh-choo!

the chambers of Auschwitz are never far away

ashes do not disperse genocide that easily

cracked skulls in Rwanda don’t break away

from bone master’s lost conscience

agent orange is not yet whiter than white

Saigon holds more memories than a musical

killing fields in Cambodia famine in the Yemen

should speak a clear message to what true hardship is

all I have to do is wear a mask and wait for an injection

though there is no vaccination yet for stupidity

in the face of what is a minor incursion of freedom

compared to slaughter and crusades for a false crown

Premium Member Covid Vaccine

Causative agent of disease
One of several variants to appease
Void of any discriminating abstractions
Interaction breeds human contagion
Distress inflamed in us by slow vaccination

Vaccine does diminish Covid effects
Antigen activity does reject
Chills that instill fear among us
Coughs that grip lungs, with expulsion dubious
Immunizations, please make haste
Never ending cautions are relentless
Ensuring man’s safety is quite precarious	.

amazing
     how quick joy spreads
           it casts
               so wide a net
                    much like a virus.

starting with
     a host,
          it spreads out;
               wildfire
                    engulfing...

all that it
     captures here and there.
          a wondrous contagion!
               joy...
                    makes the world go round!
