Premium MemberCome to the Waters with Compassion

Receiving an invitation from the Holy Trinity,
During my childhood I developed an affinity.
I know I welcomed this communication.
From the Holy Trinity, receiving an invitation.

I learned of divine love from our Maker,
How important to be a giver not a taker.
Blessings bestowed from our Lord above,
From our Maker, I learned of divine love.

Forgiving is one aspect of compassion.
To me the hardest to accept and fashion.
A compassionate heart brings beauty to living.
One aspect of compassion is forgiving.

So I forgive, it doesn't say it's OK,
Now my inner peace will stay that way.
I am convinced it's the right way to live.
It doesn't say it's OK, so I forgive.

Helping others, care with empathy.
Offering encouragement, not just sympathy.
Letting them know when needed I'll be there,
With empathy, helping others with care.

Premium MemberCome To The Waters

As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55 vs 8

"My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, says Father"
I come to the waters, an empty mind.
Fill this vessel of your needy daughter.
A new way of thinking, I shall find.

In the beginning, God framed the universe
with infinity beyond human thought.
"Come to the waters all of you who thirst."
The Father's wisdom abounds to be taught.

I cannot dare compare my thoughts with Him,
the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient.
The waters are a cleansing release from sin.
Yet, Father is that atonement sufficient?

Come to the waters and listen to their song.
Close your eyes, hear the force of the tides.
Riding on the waters, are voices of a storm.
We understand as the Father confides.

Premium MemberCome to the waters, His call from oasis of bliss

Across the space of desolation,
enfolding the desert of existence
where instead of thornbush
the Holy Spirit grows juniper,
the journey in the labyrinth of torment
is to reach the oasis of bliss,
from where He calls to come to the waters.

I travel from the abyss of despair
on the blessed inward journey
through the layers of consciousness,
perceive the radiance of the divine beacon
in the sanctum of the devout soul,
illumining the corridor to the abode of peace.
The portals of the inner domain then open,
where for me God blooms the piety lotus,
suffused with the gleam of His grace.

Insightful of the benevolence of God,
my soul shines with ethereal radiance
like the flaring brilliance of a billion suns
in the infinite depth of the inner space.
In my self-searching spiritual odyssey
toward the edge of enlightened eternity,
I perceive His gracious support,
making me glow in the galaxy of acumen,
turning me into a living light.

Premium MemberAll You Thirsty, Come to the Waters

I strive to place God as the be- all and end- all of life
I know He watches over me as a caring father.
When storm clouds rise high in my sky,
I look up to Him for guidance.
He gives company in my loneliness,
Gives hope, when down in the ditch of despair.

As I walk in darkness, whenever I falter and fall
His gentle words keep ringing in my ears
“Come all you, who are thirsty
        Come to the waters”- (Isaiah-55)
Yes, I turn to the living waters
And drink deep from the wellsprings of His love.

In my sojourn on this earth, his love pilots me
When storms rage fierce and breakers rise high,
I turn to Him who once rebuked the wind,
And calmed the waves of the tumultuous sea.

With childlike trust, I give my hand to God
And ask Him to hold it tight, never letting go.
I know, God is pleased with my absolute trust in Him
And also, my resolve to love all of His creation.

Let every atom of my being throb with His filling love
May it spurt like torrents to form the gushing stream.

Come to the Waters: A Hopeful Heart

How You Feel and How God Feels Poetry
Contest //Sponsored by: Sara Kendrick
( 1st Place )

Written: August 10, 2025

( Inspired by Isaiah 55 and reflecting on hope and faith. )

I come not full, but open wide,
With hands unfurled quietly yearning.
Your vows fall like gentle rain--
Words that flow from wells unending!

Through the clouds silver-haired persist.
I count on the daybreak You foster,
The meadow's bare-- still run deep.
Your stillness does not imply You sleep.

Faith takes small steps on shaky ground---
trusting quietly in what You’ve planned.
Your word-- like mist may sometimes fade,
but harvest waits for gentle hands.

You say, “Come and take, no cost at all,”
so I bring trust, not trying to fall.
My heart feels weak but still reaches out,
toward waters flowing without a shout.

You see me, not just struggling hard,
but waiting patiently, and yet still thrives.
And in your eyes
I'’m not alone--
I’m known and loved
deeply known.

Premium MemberCome to the Waters

I
try to
be honest
in all I say
and do. God gifted
me authenticity.
Those who really know me
can trust in my sincerity,
so I will come to the waters to
kneel there with gratitude for that and more.

Knowing me completely, God knows my thoughts,
and he knows my prayers are forthright.
For all his blessings I thank Him.
Knowing that He wants me to
magnify my callings
with integrity,
I worship God,
the Son, and
Holy
Ghost.

Premium MemberOh, Come To The Waters

As a Roman Catholic child I was taught,
    by nuns to come to the waters;
that wealth was not happiness,
      nor was a new car,
or huge house or fancy clothes !

My life has not been easy to endure,
    full of tragedy and heartache;
but always God speaks to me,
      Jesus holds my hand,
and the Holy Spirit gives me courage !

I try to be courageous in this life given,
      to do whatever is asked of me;
coming to the waters of the Lord,
    I drink from the coolness,
it fills me with serene tranquility !

The Lord says tell the evil to change their ways,
      to turn to faith to seek help;
to drink from the waters of faith,
to believe, to accept, to change
and they too can be courageous !

When I go out in nature I see the Lord's work,
      the trees growing, the blue skies;
the sun, moon, and flowers blooming,
everything on earth is the Lord's will,
and he asks so little in return !

Come to the Waters: Knowledge of Truth

Thirst does not have to remain suppressed
A continuous flow of fulfilling hydration
Faithful concrete promises

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts"
Reminder for days where my mind attacks
However, what is true is that I was made by You
Detailed in creation, carpentry beyond worldly comprehension

Empathy combines with intention
Realizing the similarities the Father places within us
Spirit flows and speaks freely
Jesus also has empathy

This is a form called a Pensee, but I deviated from the true form. Also, somewhat an example for my contest. I use Isaiah first as it relates to me then how I try to figure out my best trait. Soon we will be married sixty-three years, and I feel that God gave mankind a command to marry, love each other, be faithful, stay together, and have children so I have done that.

Free drinks
Water, wine, milk
Holy Spirit offers them
To a child at small church years past
He loved me as I was

Filled me
Now a clean pot
He saw some promise in me
Though I saw it not, so now search
For my positive trait

Loyal
Sticking, holding
Through good, bad, sickness and health
For sixty-three years stayed, prayed and loved
I obeyed God and man

He needs to come to the waters more

My word: loyal

It's him again,
he can be such a pain:
he's always asking for my aid
to undo all mistakes he's made
(with all the voices that I hear,
each day, each month, each year!)
Although he's meaning well
and yes, with lots to tell,
he can be such a pain.
It's him again...

Come to the Waters, Adaptable

I flow like a river that moves around rocks,
Molding like water splashed into cup or box;
Like tides conforming to the force of the moon,
A stream twisting through a bending valley's tune.

A soft air slipping through the narrowest cracks,
A wind that changes paths with no stops and tracks;
Like a smoke coiling around every corner,
A kite adjusting to swift gusts or blower.

I am a clay designed by God's unseen hands,
Being adaptable, my mind understands;
I am a master key that suits any lock,
As the Lord Jesus opens the gate of His flock.

The Holy Spirit reminds me of seasons,
For I am leaves that turn with climes in reasons.

I'VE SEEN IT ALL

I've seen it all
Very crystal clear
How people
Judge and condemn
What they don't understand or can't control.

I've seen it all
Without a blurry vision
How people spit at you
When you hit the rock bottom.

I've seen it all
The support is small
When you're building
But very massive
When you start winning.

I've seen it all
I keep contemplating on it
You come to know
People's true colors in your bad days.

Premium MemberYou Only Have to Say, Come to Me

My eyes rest upon your face, never wavering
My heartbeats, in accord, with yours
My feelings, I wear upon my sleeves
So, claim me and make me yours
Love me, oh. so tenderly.
My thoughts are no longer comprehensible to me
My words are no longer simple, nor, complicated -
My heart no longer beat with any normalcy
     - For, it is now in tune with yours -
I've fallen, I've fallen hard, and I can't get up
I'm lost and I can't find my way
I'm drowning deep, deep, in the thought of you
I'm yours, if you want me, you've only got to say -
Come to me, my arms are opened wide-
Come my love, come inside -
You only have to hold me, and I'll melt within your embrace
You only have to kiss me, to make my heart race -
You only have to love me to make me yours for an eternity
you only have to say - Come to me, and I am all yours - Come to me -

COME TO JESUS MEETING

That heavy, dark presence
Sitting on your throne
Grabbing at my laurel
To claim as your own

It presses on my door
Pushing up on my space
Where TRUTH lives in peace
Eating Manna at her own pace

There's a fire rising on my table
Licking the saints all around
With contentment in LOVE
And no whisper of fear can be found

I return your silver fork
Without a rib to spare
My tree remains, untouched
Because my LOVE has attended to my care.

Premium MemberSo it's come to this

It's right out in the open for everyone to see ~

puppets bought and paid for
dancers strung and played
delusional parrots with microphones
hostages read the demands of a madman
while maintaining somewhat of a poker face

It's never been so obvious : integrity has its price.
